I was wondering why the movie, sweet november, released on March... why didn't it release on November? Also I wanted to see Keanu Reeves. He used to be one of my favourite stars. * notice that "used to be" , that's mean not anymore.... not my favourite when Rosa once told me he is gay... sigh... she brough me to watch Speed and that was the first English movie I saw in the cinema. WAW ...... I like him!! Rosa likes him too.. BUT that is history now... Sigh.... why all the handsomes are gay... Leslie Cheung, Andy Lau...sigh...... 3.25.2001 (Sun) I got 2 gold fish from Walmart..lol ... My mom, Charlie, and I went to North Van. to the Walmart this afternoon. Since the Lion gate bridge was closed for construction, we used the Second narrows bridge. We were so excited...maybe only I was so excited coz I have never used the Second narrows bridge before. Charlie drove, and I was his netvigator.....read the map and showed the way. I got 2 Red fantail gold fish... lol ....... I bought a semi-sphere glass bowl..also some gold fish food...lol. I gave the fat one a name, "fat boy" ... and the other one ..I just simply call her.."fish". Tomorrow is Charlie's B'day, but we went out dinner tonight since we all agreed not going out tomorrow night. It would be a rush to go dinner in Richmond on weekdays. I know Charlie wasn't very happy with the dinner. Charlie told me that he wanted to eat sushi, but my mom doesn't like sushi. Besides, my dad wanted to eat curry. Well, I like both, so I had no comment on what to eat tonight, but I would perfer eating sushi tonight... since the dinner is for Charlie's B'day, and he has the right to choose what to eat.... :p However.... Charlie is the best son...we went to eat curry eventually.... lol... Don't worry Charlie... I will go eat sushi with you next Sat. afternoon. 3.26.2001 (Mon) I read an article yesterday from the newspaper, Sing Tao Daily. It's about a research on cancer. In the 92nd annual meeting of AACR, American Association for Cancer Research, Dr. Barker said the death rate of cancer sufferer has decreased in the past few years. That's one of the good news; nevertheless, the bad news is we have a great chance of getting cancer. In 3 persons, one person will have the chance to get any kinds of cancer in "some ways" (which ways?? who knows? ). The researcher also said that they hope the discovery of humans' gene would help to know the changes of cancer cell. How the good cells have become cancer. In fact, cancer is a kind of genetic disease. When the gene give wrong information to the body or the cell, the cell would change into bad cell, and it may become cancer. During the meeting, Dr. Helen Chan, the doctor from Toronto Children Hospital, said something about a rare eye cancer (Retinoblastoma). I'm not going to tell what she said in the meeting, but you have to know that over 30 children got this cancer every year in Canada. (Children!! Age<12.) While all the people are waiting for the "better medicine" for cancer, why don't you do something to prevent it? 90% of cancer can be recovered IF you notice that in an early state. But do you know how rough it is to have the treatment? It is painful, hair come off, can't eat, feeling weak, and the fear of being death. I don't mean to scare you, but what I am trying to say is "Those things are not what you deserve to suffer from. " You may not care about it since you are NOW in good health. But think about it. My right leg twitched this morning at 7:00.. :( poor me. I surely woke at once then slept again afterward. I got a sore neck this morning, and I slept late. So I was a little bit rush this morning..sigh... it's very unusual. I seldom sleep late..but I did today...sigh.. I just washed my face, brushed my teeth, and combed my hair roughly, changed clothes and rushed back to school. Amazingly, I wasn't late. I didn't make my bed. I forgot to feed my goldfish..the best thing is they can't talk so they can't complain... :) Yeah! I bought a white mocha at second cup ....It's unusual again... I never drink coffee in the morning unless I didn't sleep much the night before and I have to work. Janice and Ivy didn't come back for 061 chemistry, but we had a lab today!!! Damn, no partner again!!! I teamed up with this guy (I forgot his name) who is from evening class originally. Joyce gave me back my last lab report and test. I got 6/10 on my lab report and 29.5/30 on my test. It's extremely unusual..sigh.. I never get a 6 in my lab report. sob sob.. Gordon, the one who marked my lab report, said I didn't give the answers which he wanted to see... phew.... The most most most unusual thing was Joyce said to me" If you are not ready for the 071 test today, you may leave now and take the test on April 6." wow wow wow... What happened to her??? how come she was so nice to me today? I was wondering ...are you going to fail me on my final, Joyce? well, I signed up for the April6 test anyway so that I now have plenty of time to study for the test.
