New Harmony... It is a small, pretty, historical town
in southern part of Indiana. There is a annual event during every
Spring. People dress up in old traditional ways and show their skills
for example, making paper from wood, making candles, laces, honey,
cord even bread and butter by traditional way. When I visited New
Harmony, it was nice spring day of April. I went with international
students from EU and USI. Ruth and other host mothers took us there
and we had a good time.

Bobo is a Taiwanese who studied
in same English program with me in EU. She was one of my best friend
while I was in Evansville. We joined many events together, ate dinner
together, went gym and swam together and so on. I spent the
most time with her in Evansville. She is cute and funny. Hey, 5
minutes girl!!!(whenever we went swimming, she only swam 5 minutes
and took a break the last of time) How are you doing???

Chieko

She is very warm and has a unique scent. She
is a Japanese lady who is studying social work in USI. At the same
time, she teaches Japanese there. We are different but I like those
differences inside her, those are power to make people calm and
make them be nice. Also, we have something in common. We both
love to talk, like to understand people and literature. When
I met her though talk time for the first, I knew that we would be
good friends to each other. Chieko, I always appreciate that your
first trying coming to me which made our deep friendship started.
Let's keep our friendship forever!

She is a great woman and a
great Christian. She is the one who started talk time in Evansville and
the one who matches host family and international students. She
always works and spends time for international students and affairs.
Ruth, through you, I had a chance to see again the way to love Jesus
and God. Thanks.

Jim Feehan

|
|
He is an American who is
teaching English in Thailand now. I met him in Lancing community
college in Michigan. I took a French class for the summer
of 1997 and he was also taking a same class. Soon
after we became friends. In 1998, he visited Korea for the first
time and we met again in Seoul. I could see him a few more
times after that. This year, when I came to America 6 years later,
I planned to go to Michigan and see him. This trip to Michigan meant
a lot to me. Jim's parents were very nice to me and specially I really
enjoyed talking with his mother and listening about Jim's childhood
and world adventure of his grand mother. Jim took me to my old high
school which I studied for a year and brought me to Spartan village
where I spent one of my happiest times.

Seoneul

|
Seoneul is my tree which I planted with my best fried Wanmin
in Spartan village in Michigan 1997. Seoneul means 'breeze'
in Korean. He was symbol of my childhood and complete freedom I
had when I lived in Michigan. I did not have to worry about anything
and I was so happy girl who could dream anything. Since I came back
to Korea, to my stuffy school in 1997, I always have missed him
and memories I had in Michigan.

|
He did not grow much then I imagined. It took quite a long time
to distinguish which one was Seoneul. When I found him finally,
he looked just like he was shown when I saw him for the last. I love you,
Seoneul.
I am always thinking about you who has my childhood, my juvenility.
