Semester At Michigan State University

We left Niagara in the late afternoon. Celine and Shoba took the train back to London for a new week of school while the rest of us head for more adventures in Toronto.
We had an exciting amusing episode with an old Chinese man guarding a rundown parking garage in downtown. If you don't know, parking in downtown is a headache as parking lots are hard to come by and the fees exorbitant. Anyway, as the poor man had difficulty speaking in Chinese, Ka Min and Meng Hua enjoyed provoking him (talking to him in Chinese). And even though he told them that the garage will close at 12 midnight, the guys still wanted to know what would happened if we were to collect the car only at 1am. It was at this point that the old man flared up, exclaiming that we were trying to stop him from going home and making him work overtime! Of course, later Ka Min had to spin a beautiful story about how we were students searching for a school in Canada to take us in...leaving the poor guy all confused. The next day though, was henceforth christened "The Long March" for us. After finding a reasonable parking place, we left the car there and walked and walked the whole place.
As we toured the place, Ka Min suggested that we sit in in one of the lectures just to see what it's like. Only Meng Hua agreed to join him and the rest of us had the good sense not to follow. In the end, just as they walked out of the classroom, the lecturer asked "Who the hell are these people?", prompting the whole class to erupt into laughter. Later he came after the guys and asked if they were part of the class and we had to explain our way out. =p Next, we visited
the Royal Ontario Museum to catch the compelling Egyptian exhibits.
Despite having been on our feets since 10 in the morning till 5pm, our day is not done yet. We continued to walk and walk, covering interesting ethnic concentrates such as Little Italy and Little Portugal.
Along the Long March, we took time off to pose against the sunset. In the background is the famous CN Tower in Toronto.
At night, we
visited the famous shopping tower Eaton Centre, basked in the nightview of
downtown Toroto before heading back to our motel to give our legs a much
needed rest.
