Bodywork
relieves stress and muscle tension, helps muscles re-educate, and allows
the body to gently open, restor and re-balance itself. As the body feels
nurtured and restored so will the mind and emotions. An essential part
of any holistic program!
Pilates
inspired conditioning; alone or in conjunction with Yoga practice increases
awareness, abdominal strength, control, muscular capacity, joint flexibility
and the power of the body-mind connection. Routines can be adapted to
be gentle enough for beginners or sophisticated enough to challenge the
superfit. Joseph Pilates created his system from the integration of Yoga
and ancient Greek and Roman regimes as well as western philosophies. It
is a non-weight bearing system of physical conditioning that promotes
mental and physical harmony. Exercises are performed at a low number of
repetitions and muscles are strengthened without creating bulk, resulting
in longer, more flexible and lean powerful bodies. Pilates, was originally
developed at the turn of the century, as a training secret for dancers
and athletes. It now attracts a more universal following interested in
overall conditioning, healing and balancing as well as it's thoughtful
approach to "working out".
 The
Yogic view of creation says the vibrations of sound are the root of consciousness
and all creation. Through chanting we are able to access this consciousness,
our true nature, and connect with unity consciousness itself. This is
the Yogic prescription for health and healing.
