Obituary: CLINTON - Freeda L. Zadrozny, 61, of 200 Jennifer Circle, Valdosta, Ga., formerly of Clinton, was stricken ill and died Saturday in her home.
She leaves a son, Thomas Mack of Clinton; three daughters, Nancy Rostock of Gardner, Patti Furbush of Sterling and Sandra Fadgen of Hollywood, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Clinton, daughter of Frank and Louise Zadrozny, and lived 25 years in Valdosta. She graduated from Clinton High School. She was a former member of St. John the Evangelist Church.
The funeral and burial will be in Georgia at the convenience of the family. A memorial Mass will be held at 7 p.m. tomorrow in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. There are no calling hours. Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., is directing arrangements

Obituary: MEDICAL experts last night warned parents about the dangers of overheating their babies after a four-month-old boy left by a radiator died from dehydration.
Gino Zadrozny was also wrapped in a blanket as he lay in his pram.
He stopped breathing half an hour after being left in the stifling heat at his family's home on a warm day in June.
A pathologist called to the house in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, later found the baby's body temperature was 42C five degrees above normal.
He had died of heat stroke and dehydration.
Detective Constable Tracey Barnfa-ther, who investigated the death, told a hearing in Nottingham that the heat in the room was almost unbearable.
She said: 'I checked the radiator, and it was hot to the touch. By the time we came out we were sweating.
It was very uncomfortable.' Recording a verdict of accidental death, Nottinghamshire Coroner Dr Nigel Chapman said there was no evidence that the child had been neglected.
But he said there were lessons to be learned, adding: 'Everyone knows about the dangers of dogs being left in cars and overheating very quickly, but the same thing can happen to babies.' Dr Stephanie Smith, a paediatrician at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre, warned yesterday: 'Our advice to parents is to make sure rooms are at the right temperature.
You can buy a nursery thermometer from all reputable shops.' In June, a girl of three months died after her mother left her in a car for two hours in the full heat of the blazing sun.
Courtney Trueman was gasping for breath when she was released from the baby seat into which she had been strapped. She died in hospital two hours later.

WAREHAM -- Robert H. Blakeman, 54, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at Tobey Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Jeanne E. (Wilson) Blakeman.
Mr. Blakeman was born in Plympton and moved to Wareham eight years ago. He worked as a construction foreman before retiring in 1977 due to illness. He also served in the Army from 1963-66.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jeanne M. Thrasher of Florida and Tammy L. Perry of Hyannis; two sons, Robert H. Blakeman Jr. of Wareham and William M. I was born in Blumenau, Brazil on 22.09.51.
I left Brazil in 1979, spent 6 years in Switzerland, than went to India, where I joined the project of an International Township: Auroville, in the south of India, and I left India in 1999 to take some distance. I have two daughters: Nina Mahi Zadrozny Pereira born on 18.03.82 and Lara Dakshina Zadrozny Pereira born on 21.03.84 . Mahi is now in Bethesda, MD, she is studying at the American University in WashingtonDC, and Dakshina is still in Auroville, we are just trying to find a school for her somewhere, in English, for her to do her two last years of High School. She will come here to Spain to meet me at the end of April, when her school in Auroville starts Summer holidays.

I was born in Blumenau, south of Brazil, on 22nd September 1951. I lived there with my family, father, mother and two brothers, till the age of 16. Then I went to a boarding school in Porto Alegre for a year, as exchange student for 3 months to USA, and then with my family for a year to Rio de Janeiro. When I was almost 15 I also travelled for half a year with a group of mostly young people, from the "Up with People" movement, or "Sing Out" as it was called in Germany, within Brazil and to an international conference near New York. My parents believed it was important to travel, meet other cultures and ways of living, so they always encoraged us to leave the safety of home. And the world is changing very quickly, my father used do say, he wanted us to be ready to meet whatever would come!
In 1971 I interrupted my university studies, in Rio de Janeiro, to go to Finland, for a year, also as an exchange student. In Finland I first heard about yoga, and on the way back, in July 1972, on a conference in Germany (of the ICYE - International Christian Youth Exchange) I was told about Auroville. Immediately I felt: Ah, then there is a place for me on this earth!
Two weeks later, back at University in Rio, I was given a special issue of Ananda, a magazine published by Casa Sri Aurobindo, a small community in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. It was a special issue for Sri Aurobindo's centenary, distributed in the main cities of Brazil. I met with two members of the community and kept in contact with them. In February '73 I visited at the occasion of a workshop on body awareness, dance improvisation and concentration with music and slow movement. A few months later I abandoned University and went to Salvador to join the Casa Sri Aurobindo. Besides working on the body, we brought out this monthly magazine, Ananda, with excerpts of Sri Aurobindo's and Mother's works, translated into Portuguese, and other related texts of other authors, mostly also translated from English, German and French. Later Ananda was reduced to 6 issues per year and we translated and distributed books of Mother and Sri Aurobindo, such as Bases of Yoga, Lights on Yoga. The Mother (the small booklet of Sri Aurobindo), The Supramental Manifestation on Earth, A System of National Education, On Education, Prieres et Meditations, the introduction of The Synthesis of Yoga, The Problem of Rebirth, besides other publications on Body Awereness by Rolf Gelewski.
Besides the work with translation, publication and distribution of these we worked with dance and movement daily and gave courses throughout the main cities in Brazil. I specially liked the work of concentration with music and slow movement.
End of 1976 I went to India the first time. To the Ashram and to Auroville. Around seven in the evening, in Aspiration, when stepping down from Narad's motorbike (he had lent it to Alain and Eliane to go to Pondy for the dance class), I knew: here I'm going to live one day, this is my home. Also at the Ashram I felt at home, it was as if I had been there before.
In '78 Paulo and I got married and in '79 we left the community. End of 1979 we left Brazil for Switzerland to follow studies and be half-way to India! We visited every other year, joined Auroville International from its beginnings in November '81. We went to Auroville "for good" in January 1986, with our two small daughters, Mahi and Dakshina.
Since the community in Brazil we did fundraising for Auroville, and I was always concerned about Auroville's economy, so when possible I joined the envelope-meetings, later the economy group. I worked at the Visa Service and in the Entry Group for a few years, and later, for one year in the Development Group.
And during all this time our daughters were growing and there were related activities and participation in the Creche, the Kindergarten, Transition School, Last School, the French Lycée in Pondicherry, and luckilly there was the pony-farm for the children, besides riding classes and outings even organizing full moon rides and overnight sleeping to catch flies...
Also we were part of the group of people to start the community of Samasti. To start the "city" in the outskirts of the city. To get the land to build a road to get an access to the place. To get water and electricity, and in Samasti, besides our house to build a small guest house, which had been planned in the compound and a place for dance and yoga classes, physiotherapy sessions, and a piano for students to practice, and a proper place for the video equipment, - Pitanga. It turned out to be a small cultural center, or multi-purpose place, housing dance and music performances and recitals, the Auroville Choirs, and the Video Library, the Hair Dressing Service, and ocasional seminars and meetings. And exhibitions of mainly Auroville artists: paintings, pottery, photographs, patch work, sculptures.
I also participated in yoga and dance classes, and dance performances (The Golden Light) and the play of The Five Elements, with all it meant: such as organizing, preparing sceneries, sewing and stitching and cleaning and making snacks and paying bills, and even making a video under incredible conditions in Bharat Nivas when it was dark enough, before Pitanga... Later there was the children's choir and the Opera. And the adult's choir; and singing brought a lot of joy.
Besides, there were yearly travels to Brazil, for studies with a healer, who became a good friend. She works on the cells, on the subtle level, remotely. Besides healing she helps to become aware of why we make ourselves ill and correct the causes. There is a tipology based on the energy of each day of the week, which shows, which is the very basic energy of our cells and helps a lot to understand our basic "nature", positive and negative tendencies, and see them, not only as something personal, but as characteristics of the "Monday child" and so on. (Auroville Today once brought out a small interview with her.)
Since 1992 I wanted to translate Savitri. But I never succeded more than a few lines... There was always something more urgent to do...
And Savitri is with me since back in 1973, when I first heard the legend and started reading Sri Aurobindo's revelation. There was not much time in those days, work in the community started very early morning and went till late at night, but sometimes, at working-times, in the small book storeroom in our community, I would take Savitri and read it out loud for myself untill the small space was so dense that I had to stop... Stop and quietly sit, enjoying the intense atmosphere created in the place...
But it was as if it was too special a book, too precious, too far off, although it felt so near and loving.
And it should always be read in English, because of it's mantric power, and the power of consciousness that Sri Aurobindo's words carry. Yet, the translation is helpful for people who have not had the chance to learn English, although, right now, I can only see it published with the English original for Portuguese readers.
But right now I'm looking forward to this beautiful work to do, and I'm aware it will keep me busy for a long time.

Obituary: FITCHBURG -- Marcel G. Quintal, 76, of 653 Westminster Hill Road, a retired lab technician and former mechanical engineer, died Friday, March 31, at HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Irene A. (Babineau) Quintal; seven daughters, Judith A. Judge, Janet C. Zadrozny and Cynthia L.
McDermott, all of Fitchburg, Janeen M. Quintal of Mashpee, Margaret C. Deshayes and Marianne Pelletier, both of Ashburnham, and Elizabeth Maxfield of Leominster; a son, Joseph M. Quintal of Athol; a sister, Frances Cutting of Fitchburg; 10 grandchildren; and a great- grandchild. A brother, Albert Quintal of Merrimack, N.H., died in
1993. He was born in Fitchburg, son of Omer and Marianne (Frechette) Quintal, and was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.
Mr. Quintal was a mechanical engineer for Barkley & Dexter Machine Co. for 20 years. He later was a lab technician for Dr. T.A. Babineau in Nashua, N.H., retiring in 1981. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the St. Joseph Club, and a former member of the Franco-American Club.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Immaculate Conception Church, 59 Walnut St. Burial will be in St.
Bernard's Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 3, at Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St.
Memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, Renovation Fund, 59 Walnut St., Fitchburg, MA 01420.

The new Miss Pennsylvania, Jeanie Zadrozny, is a brunette with eyes of blue and measurements of 38-25-38.
She is an economics major at the University of Pittsburgh. and plans a career as a government economic advisor.
Miss Zadrozny, 22, of Upper St. Clair Twp., a Pittsburgh suburg, was crowned Miss Pennsylvania Saturday night at Franklin Hall here.
She was one of fine finalists chosen from 26 entrants and succeeds Michele McDonald the reigning Miss USA.
Miss Charla Bender, 20, 403 York St. a sophomore at York College of Pennsylvania, was also entered in the Miss Pennsylvania contest. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Bender.
