ZADROZNY, Genevieve A. (Polkowski)
Genevieve A. (Polkowski) Zadrozny, 84, widow of Stanley T. Zadrozny, of South Glastonbury died Saturday, (July 6, 2002) at home. Born in New Britain January 1, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Boleslaw and Catherine (Nalewajek) Polkowski. She was a retired assembler for The Stanley Works of New Britain, where she had worked for 34 years prior to her retirement in 1980. She was a member of St. Augustine's Church and their Altar Guild of South Glastonbury. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Church of New Britain and a charter member of their Ladies Guild, the Stanley Seniors, the Gideon Wells Seniors, the AARP Chapter 2010, and the Rosary Group of the Salmon Brook Convalescent Home. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Washko and her husband George of South Glastonbury, with whom she made her home; a sister, Helen Klimas of Kansas; two grandchildren, Jennifer Varney and her husband Jason, and Dr. George Washko, Jr. and his wife Dr. Diana Gallagher; three great grandchildren, Justin, Joshua and Jared Varney. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry Polkowski. Friends and relatives may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 9 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury, followed by interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. There are no calling hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Care, 111 Founders Plaza, East Hartford, CT 06108; or to St. Augustine's Church. The Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, has charge of arrangements.

Well, you have made my day! Yes, John's parents are Simon and Sophie. Josephine's maiden name is spelled Putkownik or Pulkownik. Josie's father's name is Andrew with last name spelled Putkownik and her mother is Mary Kazaska or Korczeski. We called her "Busha".
Who is the Edward you reference? John and Josephine had a son named Edward who died in infancy (eight months). Would that be him?
