Double L:  So, Luigi, how's it going?
Luigi:  Same as always.
Double L:  And how's that?  Sorry, but you've been sort of out of the picture for awhile…we don't hear too much about the second plumber.
Luigi:  That's what I was talking about…you see, I've fallen on some tough times since I was last in the spotlight.
Double L:  What would you consider the last time you were in the spotlight?
Luigi:  (sighs) Oh, it's been a long time.  Ever since the release of the Super Nintendo…it's been all Mario.  Sure, I was in Mario is Missing, but that was by no means a premiere game.
Double L:  I know.  Let's talk about the good times.  What was your favorite game that you starred in?
Luigi:  Oh, please.  I haven't had the starring role in any game that was really good.
Double L:  OK…what was your favorite game that you "appeared in"?
Luigi:  Definitely Super Mario 2.
Double L:  Why's that?
Luigi:  Obvious.  I'm the best in the game there.  I can not only be selected by the first player, I can jump further and higher than Mario.
Double L:  True, true.
Luigi:  Wasssahhhhh!
Double L:  ?
Luigi:  Don't worry, I keep up with today's trends.
Double L:  Back to business.  Tell me a little bit about what happened in your downfall.
Luigi:  Well, it was going pretty well for awhile…with the release of Super Mario 2, I thought us plumbers had achieved equality, right?
Double L:  I see.  What happened after that?
Luigi:  Well, it was brought to my attention that Super Mario 2 was basically a rip-off of Doki-Doki, and that this was a one-time thing.  When Super Mario 3 came out…well, I was pretty bummed.
Double L:  Dark times for Luigi, huh?
Luigi:  Definitely.  Mario starting thinking he was number one, which he really was.  So, I found ways to get rid of my problems.
Double L:  What did you do?
Luigi:  I started getting high on star power.  You know, just run into a star and I've got a temporary escape.  It was pretty good for awhile…I forgot the fact that I wasn't appreciated.
Double L:  A couple years after you started looking to drugs, Nintendo came to you talking about the Super Nintendo.
Luigi:  Yup.  They knew about my drug problem all along, and, of course, they wanted to get me clean again.
Double L:  What did they say to you?
Luigi:  To make a long story short, they said that Mario and I would be on equal ground.  They agreed to make a Super Plumber World for the Super Nintendo, where players could choose which of us they would play as.  This would happen if I stayed clean until the release of the Super Nintendo.
Double L:  And that kept you off stars for awhile.
Luigi:  Definitely.  There was incentive.
Double L:  But Super Plumber World was never released.  What went wrong?
Luigi:  It was two days before the release of the Super Nintendo.  I had been clean for quite a long time now, and I was beginning to miss the effects of drugs.  Well, I contacted Toad to see if he could hook me up with forty or so mushrooms; I planned to take them as the Super Nintendo was being released…so that Nintendo had already released Super Plumber World.
Double L:  What went wrong with the plan?
Luigi:  Little to my knowledge, Toad was working for Nintendo of America.  When Toad delivered the goods to me, a few Nintendo guys came out from their hiding spot and took me away.  They then recalled Super Plumber World and replaced it with Super Mario World.
Double L:  That must have hurt.
Luigi:  Definitely.  But I knew that I had to stay clean from that point on.  At first, Nintendo shunned me from their games.
Double L:  Yes.  You had very few appearances on the Super Nintendo, and you were completely left out of Mario 64.
Luigi:  Yeah…but I'm making a comeback now.  I was one of the hidden characters in Super Smash Bros., and I'm also appearing in Mario Tennis 64.
Double L:  But you're still in a supporting role.
Luigi:  For now.  But you just wait.  You see, I have a lot going for me.  I'm leaner, faster, and stronger than Mario.  I'm a huge underdog, and that's becoming in style here in America.  And also, the most important thing…we all know green is better than red.
Double L:  I don't know about the color thing…but I'd still take you over
