8-2-00 - NEStopia is put on the Internet.

8-13-00 - OSG raves about NEStopia:  "Double L got himself an NES page, and it looks pretty darn good, if you ask me. I'm sure this page is going places in the future."

8-23-00 - NES el33t awards NEStopia KingSushi's Award of Excellence.

8-24-00 - Willyman's NES Page links to NEStopia, saying:  "When I first saw this page I thought to myself, "I gotta link this." Double L reminded me and now it's done. It's rather new but it already has a vatsworth of content and an interesting look. If there ever was a site with potential, it's here.

8-25-00 - TNCA lists NEStopia as the "Kickass Site of the Moment."  Hits pour in at an unprecedented rate.

I think it's safe to say that NEStopia was well received.

It's enough praise to make anyone happy, and I'm no exception.  But it has me wondering...what if I don't live up to the expectations?
People who view this site don't see one thing...the work that goes into making it.  What people don't understand is that this site has been in the works since March.  That's right, March.  Work on NEStopia was started on March 1st.  I worked for a month or so, forgot about NEStopia, and then finished it up from late June on.
It's a lot of work to maintain a website, especially if you want to update it diligently, as I do.  It's even harder to fit it in when you factor in school and a social life.  Sure, I have one.  Just because I have a website doesn't mean I can't.
Anybody who has a website will sympathize with me that being a webmaster puts you into a vicious cycle.  You finished one update, it's time to start working on the next.  Does it end?  Not really.
That doesn't mean that I'm not enjoying it.  I get a kick out of visiting my site in the morning, and then looking at it at noon and seeing that I've gotten ten more hits in a couple of hours.
But I'm wondering if the thrill will wear off.  What happens then?  Does the site stop getting updated?  Do I take it off the Internet completely?  I feel as though I'm going through a series of corridors I've never been in.  I never know what's behind the door until I get there.
With all this said, you're probably thinking "Great, NEStopia will be done in a few more months."  Actually, you're wrong.  Stopping my site soon would mean that I've done all this work for just a couple months of having my website functional.  Not my style.  I'm going to milk this thing as much as I can.
At the same time, there is a certain pressure to keep pumping out updates.  And if I don't?  That's not an option right now.  Because
