The American Dreams are the best team in Baseball Stars.  Don't challenge them until your team is pretty well built up.  I recommend having two staring pitchers with ERAs in the low two's or better before you try to play them.  It also never hurts to have a few top-notch power hitters, because these guys will score runs no matter what you try.  At least until you get really good, then you may be able to stymie them.

Pete - Like the real Charlie Hustle, this guy can run.  Like the real Charlie Hustle, this guy can hit.  As tough as he is, you must get him out because he sets the table for the more powerful middle of the order.
Babe - Like Pete, you must get this guy out.  He doesn't have much power, unlike the real Babe Ruth, but he still hits for a mighty high average.  Work hard to get him out because you don't want runners on for the big boys.  Try working Babe on the inside corner.
Joe - Joe D is the most dangerous hitter on the team.  I suggest you use the pitching strategy "inside-out" that I mention in another section of this shrine.  Joe is especially dangerous with two strikes.  Watch for hard grounders and liners to the left side.
Hank - Outside pitches seem to be the best way to get Hank out, but every once in awhile he will get a hold of one.  Jam him once or twice to back him off from the plate.
Lefty - Lefty is the left-handed power hittter on the Dreams.  Make sure you have a pitcher who is good at jamming a lefty, you'll need him for this hitter.  Lefty's also a sucker for drop pitches.
Willie - He may not have the level of power that the other hitters do, but he's a force to be reckoned with.  Throw curveballs, they fool him.
Jay - Do not pitch outside to this hitter; he will make you pay.  Jam him inside and throw hard inside - press down on the Control Pad.
Jacks - The only guy on the squad who can't hit it out.  What he lacks in power he makes up for in speed.  Ready your fingers for a quick throw to first.
Sandie - He's got a good sinker, but he is definitely hittable.  Move up in the box to catch his pitches before they curve.
