Robt to George Bratcher Deed
The following deed is Copied from Book A page 137
This Indenture made this tenth day of February in the year of our Lord
Christ, 1804, Between Robert Burton of the County of Granville and State
of North Carolina of the one part and Charles Bratcher of the County of
Claiborne and State of Tennessee of the other part, Witnefseth that the
said Robert Burton for and in consideration of the Sum of Eight hundred
dollars Money of the United States to him in hand paid by the Said
Charles Bratcher the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath
bargained sold alienated and confirmed unto the Said Charles Bratcher
his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land
containing 264 acres be teh same more or less lying and being in the
County of Claiborne within Richard Henderson and Companys grant and in a
part of Lot I and bounded as follows to witt - Beginning at a red Oak
and White Oak, in the line K No. 28 - 47 West 328 poles to a red
oak and White Oak marked K then no 52 East 110-7 poles to a white oak
and Dogwood and black gum, thence south 29-4 East 80 poles to a stake,
corner to John Bratcher 200 acre tract thence with the line of said
tract So 5 West, 130 to a stake thence so 40 East 162 toa hycory, then
15 East 70 poles down a branch so. 50 30 poles to a stake corner to a
177 acre tract called Arch Basham place thence south 61 west, 112 poles
to the beginning with and and singular the right title interest Issues
and appertenance and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Charles
Bratcher his heir and assigns forever to have and to hold the said 264
acres of land with all the appertenances unto the said Charles Bratcher
his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful Claiim of all and every
person or persons whatsoever will warrant and forever defend by these
presents, in Witnefs whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the
