The State of North Carolina

To all whom these Presents shall come.···GREETING:
                                                                   Know ye, that we, for and in consideration of the sum of __Ten Pounds______ for every hundred acres granted, paid into our Treasury.

Have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the said John Bradshaw a tract of land containing Four hundred and seventy five acres lying and being in our county of Greene on the waters of Dumpling Creek adjoining his former survey where he know lives.  Beginning at a pine, then East one Hundred and ten poles to a post oak, then south thirty four poles to two hikeries at the foot of the Knobbs, then with the Knobbs south fifty one Degrees west one hundred and thirty eight poles to a Stake on Bradshaws LIne.  then with Bradshaws Line north Sixty Degrees west one Hundred and twenty poles to a post oak, then west two Hundred and Seventeen poles to a pine and hickery on a Conditional Line Between John Bradshaw and Richard Rankins, then with the said Rankins Line north thirty two Degrees west seventy two poles to a small hickery, then north one Hundred and sixty two poles to a stake, then East one Hundred and fifty poles to a stake then south fifty tow Degrees East two Hundred and sixty two poles to the Beginning.  As by the plat hereunto annexed doth appear together with all woods, waters, mines, minerals, Hereditaments, and appurtanences to the said land belonging or appertaining.  To hold to the said John Bradshaw his heirs and afsigns forever, yielding and paying to us such sums of money yearly or otherwise as our General Afsembly from time to time may Direct provided always that the said John Bradshaw shall cause the grant to be Registered in the Registers office of our said county of Greene within twelve months from the Date hereof otherwise the same shall be void of no effect.

In Testimony Whereof, we have caused these, our letters to be made patent and our Great Seal to be hereunto affixed.
