The State of North Carolina

To all whom these Presents shall come.···GREETING:
                                                                   Know ye, that we, for and in consideration of the sum of __Ten Pounds______ for every hundred acres granted, paid into our Treasury.

Have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the said John Bradshaw a tract of land containing two hundred acres lying and being in our county of Greene on the head of Dumpling creek, Begining at a stake on Richard Rankins line.  Thence South with said line South sixty east one hundred and thirty eight poles to a Black oak at the foot of the Mountain.  Thence with said mountain North thirty seven East two hundred and fourteen poles to a Black Oak.  East thirty seven poles to a Black Oak  Thence with said mountain North thirty seven East twenty five poles to a white oak on Meeke line.  Thince with said line North sixty West one hundred and thirty eight poles to a stake.  Thence South forty four degrees - thirty nine minutes West two hundred and sixty Poles to the Begining - as by the plat hereunto annexed doth appear together with all woods, waters, mines, minerals, hereditaments, and appurtanences to the said land belonging or appertaining to hold to the said John Bradshaw his heirs and asigns forever.  Yielding and paying to us such sums of money yearly or otherwise as our General Assembly from time to time may direct provided always that the said John Bradshaw shall cause the grant to be Registered in the Register office of our said county of Greene within twelve months from the date hereof, otherwise the same shall be void of none effect.

In Testimony Whereof, we have caused these, our letters to be made patent and our Great Seal to be hereunto affixed.
