This sweet little girl is Binks.  She was abandoned along with her mom, brothers, and sisters, in an alley in the middle of winter.  They were all found the day after Christmas by a purebreed rescue group.  The group found homes for her whole family, but Binks was very sick.  She had to get well before she could be adopted.  By the time she recovered, the purebreed rescue people didn't want to keep her anymore, so they brought her to us.  She was fostered by this site's webmistress, who wouldn't give her up for anything.

This is Binksie's "Aren't I so cute, won't you please give me a treat?" look.

Here is little Lilli with her new family.  They've named her Riley, and are taking good care of her.  Take a look at her picture on the adoption page (which was taken shortly after she was rescued), and compare it to her photo now.  Her ears are perked up, and her eyes are bright and happy.  Her leg has healed up nicely too.  She's looking forward to the future now, and to being spoiled!

This sweet and adorable guy with the perky ears is Hershey.  His coat is a perfect match for
a Hershey's milk chocolate bar! (makes you hungry, doesn't it?).  This sweetheart was adopted
before we could even get him on the site, and you can see why.  Look at those soft eyes!
Here he is with his new mom, who's going to make sure he has a great life.
This BIG guy is Bernie.  He was adopted by the site's webmistress, who also adopted Binks.
And yes, Bernie is almost as big as the couch!  Here he is with my mom.  He's a real sweetheart!  He loves to have all the attention.  If you are sitting on the couch, he will sit his butt in your lap, with his front paws on the floor. If you are standing, he'll lean against you until you give him some pats.  If  you lie down on the floor, he'll lie right next to you, and let you use him as a pillow.  He loves to be brushed, and he loves taking walks and playing in the yard. We're so happy to have him!
Update:  My beautiful Bernie passed away on September 15, 2001.  I miss him so much!  The house seems so empty without him.  Bernie, I will always love you and I'll never forget you!!
