This poor girl is named Georgette. She lived on the streets for a long time, scared, heartworms and dying. She gave birth to 8 pups on the streets and they were rescued and the entire family put into a foster home. She is timid and scared,  but with the helping hand of our wonderful volunteers she will soon one day not be afraid and enjoy a true dog's life.
Update 9/20/2001:  Georgette has come a long way.  She is very loving and is ready for the right home.  She will never be the typical all American dog, but she will make a wonderful and laid back companion.

These cuties are Cleo's puppies....there are 3 total, and they are 9 weeks old.  They look to be mixed with Lab and are adorable!

And here's Cleo!  She was rescued from the pound...pregnant and with a death sentence hanging on her shoulders. Luckily she was saved and her pups are fine. She is a terrier mix and all so loving and high energy. She is snow white! She gets along with other dogs and is housebroken.

Sweet Girl endured a life of hell on the streets of the north side. She was brutally shot in the leg, and had to have it amputated, but don't tell her that....this wonderful dog can run with the best of them, like other dogs and kids too. She is a special survivor.

How about that smile! This is Marnie, a friendly mix rescued from the streets.  He is loving, loves other dogs and cats too! He is still a young guy, about 9 months, but potty's outside and doesn't mind a crate either. He is a fun fun dog!
