Kassy's Page


Kassy died January 8, 2003 of complications from kidney failure. She was 13 1/2 years old. She will be missed very much.

Kassy and her two litter mates Oscar and Reggie were born in early July, 1989. I decided to make it July 4 just to keep track. Kassy had only recently started to be fairly affectionate. She had always been very vocal though, and if you picked her up (or set her down) she would meow and even while she's purring she'd meow when you pet her. I think she just liked the sound of her own voice.

Kassy was the only cat I had who didn't rush to the food bowl when I fed them. She just kind of hung out until everyone was finished and then she might or might not decide she felt like eating. In the end, she just stopped eating completely, and started to fade away.



Kassy was a strange cat. She always seemed to love this position laying on the top floor of the cat tree.
