Joss Whedon, the original writer of the movie,
has stormed his way through Hollywood leaving blockbusters in his wake
(Speed, Twister,Toy Story). His current work, Buffy the Vampire Slayer,
released this past March, set a record with ratings. Since then, it has
remained close to the top 100 shows in ratings. Now, with the devotion
of all its fans, Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been renewed and is coming
back for a second season. As most people who've seen the original movie
agree, it was a box office flop, so why should the series be any better?
The thing is, it has nothing really to do with the original movie. Whedon
only took the main character and the loose premise of the movie and then
he shipped it out to California as a totally different story.
