The theory that a woman found dead in an alley,
raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to
a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

When
Brains Go on Vacation
In an article headlined "When Brains Go on Vacation," the National
Rifle Association ridicules "ludicrous"
statements made after the terrorist attacks. The November issue
of the NRA magazine America's 1st Freedom offers these gems, among others:
NBC "News" morning gabfest host and tabloid cover boy Matt Lauer saying
"pilots are human beings; they get depressed; they get suicidal; they get
angry. If they're armed, isn't that a formula for disaster?"(A
formula for disaster are fools like this warping the minds of the uninformed)
Feds
Sue Over BB Guns
Tuesday's lawsuit contends the guns are defective because BBs can
become lodged in the magazine of the airguns, even though the airgun
can appear empty. That, the suit says, can lead to children playing with
the weapons, believing them safe. The stuck BB can then become dislodged,
causing death or serious injury if
fired in the direction of another person.(Injuries
such as these are caused by violating every rule of gun safety. The answer
is clearly 'Education' . Once again, the "Keep em Ignorant Keep em Safe"
approach is not working. Basic gun safety should be taught to every child.
I would recomend "Gun
Proofing Your Child" from the NFA. Because, if you could sue,
or legislate personal stupidity out of the population, most of our politicians
would be missing.)
Nuclear
attack 'a real possibility'
General Aleksandr Lebed, the former Russian security czar, said
in 1997 that portable nuclear bombs and tactical nukes had disappeared
from Russia's arsenal. In testimony before the Congressional Military Research
and Development Subcommittee in October, 1997, Gen. Lebed said there were
bombs made to look like suitcases that could be detonated by one person
with less than 30-minutes preparation.(If a suitcase
nuke goes off 'anywhere' in the western world, a retaliatory strike vaporizing
the the entire Afghanistan area where Bin Laden is thought to be hiding
is inevitable. Gee anyone know where My father/grandfather put the keys
to the old fallout shelter back in the 50's? I wonder if the pamphlet is
right? Can I save myself by hiding under a desk at the local school)
SHOOTING
FROM THE LIP
The "free" registration is so transparent that it's laughable. Mclellan
and her bureaucrats fear that gun owners, as an act of protest, will wait
until the last minute before sending in their registration forms. The truth
is the firearms centre is snowed under with paperwork and is inflicting
unacceptable backlogs on Canadians who are entitled to have their firearms
ownership documents. When the forms for the millions of legally and legitimately
owned firearms in the country hit the mail, the log jam will be absolutely
horrendous. (YUP! Thats the whole idea. "Thanks,
but No Thanks".)

StarPhoenix
If Canadians weren't dizzy enough with all the spin on Ottawa's
nonsensical gun control legislation they've been
subject to over the past three years, the latest federal effort
is sure to induce nausea. So successful have been
its efforts to overcome resistance among Canadians to register their
firearms, suggests the federal
government, that it's dropping the $18 registration fee for those
who haven't yet complied and will refund the
fees of those who've registered. (A lot of
the U.S. Papers are picking up on this. 'If' you've registered, go get
your money back.. If not send the form back with a "Thanks but No Thanks"

Women
get gun-safety pointers
The Southaven Police Department armed 50 women Wednesday, and Chief
Tom Long gave them this frank
advice: "It's better to
be judged by 12 than carried by six." "We're not trying to
tell anyone to violate the law," Long said. "But we have to stress
that personal safety should be everyone's primary goal." (Unlock/Load/Dial

Be
very afraid of anti-terror bill Karen Selick
Observe also that during the past century, the power of the state
has already grown by leaps and bounds. It now takes half our incomes. We
have to notify it whenever we move, if we merely possess a driver's licence.
We now live with wiretapping laws, drug laws, money laundering laws and
increasing censorship masquerading as human rights laws. Meanwhile, the
evils of crime, vice, terrorism and social discord that all these measures
were supposed to protect us from have grown apace. When is the payoff from
giving the state ever more control
over our lives going to come? Indeed, a plausible argument
can be made -- although I don't have space here -- that the rampant growth
of the state has been the cause of, not the cure for, many of our problems.(Power
at any cost, the liberals true meaning of "A Just Society" Chrétien

Harris said. ''She would like a perfect world where there is no cancer

here goes another round of trying to smarten up guns, when smartening up
your children is a much smarter idea. "Keep em ignorant, keep em

it works.)
Better
Late Than Never, Growing Numbers Realizing Importance Of Self-Defense
In his excellent book, A Nation Of Cowards (Accurate Press, 2001),
Jeff Snyder says: "Our society suffers greatly from the beliefs that only
official action is legitimate and that the state is the source of our earthly
salvation.... As long as law-abiding citizens assume no personal responsibility
for combating crime, liberal and conservative programs will fail to contain
it." Well, it appears -- at least in the short-run following September
11 -- that an increasing number of such citizens are realizing that that
they have both a right and a duty, a personal responsibility, to defend
themselves. I hope and pray that this continues. At the very least, so-called
"homeland defense" begins at home. And this means that against foreign
or domestic terrorists we must defend ourselves the same way our forefathers
did -- by having a proper firearm for home defense and knowing how to use
it. (Waiting for a response to a 911 call is not
an option. People 'have' to take responsibility for their own, and their
families safety. The police are not legally obligated to show up in time,
or even get the address correctly. Statistics
show, there are more violent acts per 100,000 people in Canada, than
in the U.S. Why? because most Canadians are unarmed and/or think it illegal
to shoot someone in self defence. Well its NOT Unlock/Load/Dial

Ottawa
must avoid deficit, Martin tells provinces
OTTAWA - Federal Finance Minister Paul Martin refused to give
his provincial counterparts a pledge Sunday to put more money into health
care and other social programs. At a meeting in Ottawa, Martin
told them that the federal government must now dig into its extra
revenue to pay for increased security as well as the military campaign
in the fight against terrorism. (To maintain the
useless function, and incredible waste of money attributed to the CFC at
times such as this, would be truly obscene. NOW is the time to repeal this
useless legislation and replace it with a far better, and much less costly
system. I.E. the NFA's Practical

Border Patrol moves 100 agents to Canadian border
EL PASO, Texas, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- The Border Patrol on Sunday will
begin shifting 100 agents from the Mexican border to the Canadian border
for national security reasons, a patrol spokesman said Thursday.
The temporary assignment will be reassessed in 30 days to determine whether
additional officers need to be deployed, according to Doug Mosier a patrol
spokesman in the El Paso office. Mosier would only say the deployment
was "a national security issue." Since Sept. 11, patrol agents have taken
on additional duties, including airport security in some areas of the country.

Gun
Sales Skyrocket Since September 11
Vermont gun dealers are reporting sales increases of 30 to 50 percent
in the wake of the terrorist attacks on September 11th. The sales increase
far exceeds the predictable hunting season sales spike. In addition
much of the increase is for the sales of non-hunting firearms such
as handguns and short-barrel shotguns, according to gun dealers.
Many of the customers are reportedly first-time gun owners. And
some dealers report that the terrorists threat has prompted even some gun-control
advocates to buy firearms for self-defense. (Vermont
has NO gun control laws on the books, you can simply walk into a gun shop,
get the instant check, and walk out with the gun of your choice. Vermont
also has the Lowest Crime Rate in the U.S. When you feel your life is in
danger, even gun Control Fanatics will not hesitate to use a gun in self
defence, unless of course there are the ones that feel their life is worth
much less than their attacker's)

off as a petty criminal.(The note he sealed

A Budget on the Horizon
OTTAWA - Paul Martin, the Finance Minister, is going to give
Canadians a full account of the government's finances when he brings
down a budget in early December. But he held out little hope for
battered consumers and businesses looking for help in surviving the slumping
economy by ruling out new tax cuts.(It's Going to

The
"Culture of Safety" Continues
MONTREAL - The weekend shooting death of a peaceful, music-loving
teenager as he stood in line outside a nightclub has renewed outrage in
Montreal over the inability of authorities to rein in outlaw biker gangs.
"Right now, the governments do not seem too be treating this too
urgently," she said. "People say Marc-Alexandre was in the wrong
place at the wrong time. I'm against that because it's not true. We should
have the right to go where we want, without being shot."(Ahhh
but the RCMP has been successful in disarming law abiding hunters,
who's only crime is that of being lost in the C.F.C. boondoggle, and not
getting their 'Liberal gun-o-phobia

assured that you will never be randomly attacked by a duckhunter

This

Two men arrested in Fort McMurray, Alta., on suspicion they were

to get taxi-driving licences in the northeastern Alberta city. Emad Jamal
Shawkat Hassan, 33, entered Canada on Aug. 12 using an invalid U.S. resident
alien card and a Virginia state driver's licence. His routing took him
from Jordan to Germany and Calgary. He was deported from the United States
on May 27 after serving 34 months for being convicted of a $1.2-million
food stamp fraud. There is a warrant for his arrest in Illinois for violating
probation. He has at least 14 aliases. Mohamadkhair Salah, 37, who gave
his full name to his Immigration hearing as Mohamadkhair Salem Abdulah
Mustafa Salah, is said by Immigration to have 16 aliases. He arrived in
Vancouver in November of last year on a routing from Palestine to Jordan,
the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Korea.( A
"Trust the System" Background check missed all of the above! How did they
even catch these guys? Did they walk into a doughnut shop and give themselves
up? Maybe the government should waste less police manpower on farmers,
hunters, and target shooters, and more time on tracking all the bogus refugees
they released into the population.)

Senator John Lynch-Staunton. "But the way it's written and drafted it goes
way beyond those who caused that event or their sympathizers." McLellan

U.S.
Pilots Registering for Gun Classes
"Although approval for pilots to carry guns is still pending in
the U.S. Congress, airline pilots are already signing up for gun-safety
classes, the Associated Press reported Oct. 13. Last week, the Senate approved
a measure that would allow pilots to carry guns. It awaits House of Representatives
approval. If approved, it's not the first time pilots would be allowed
to carry guns. Until the mid-1980s, pilots were allowed to have guns in
the cockpit. Bonanza Airlines, for example, implemented a voluntary gun-training
program after a suicidal man shot and killed a pilot and co-pilot on a
1964 flight from Reno, Nev., to San Francisco, Calif."What
about Canada? Well, airline passengers in Canada faced with an onboard
terrorist attack, will simply place their heads between their knees, and
kiss their asses goodbye. You see, our Government thinks its much more
logical to have an F-18 blow a airliner or of the sky, and possibly kill
hundreds both in the air and on the ground, Liberal
brain fart > "because having a firearm
onboard an aircraft Is not something you wish to do" Makes ya wanna go
right out and get on a plane doesn't it?
U.S.
Public Supports Arming Airline Pilots, Poll Shows
(CNSNews.com) - Three
quarters of Americans favor arming airline pilots, according to a national
poll released on Wednesday. About half said they would switch to an airline
that armed its pilots. Most said they would be willing to pay something
extra for their airline tickets to fund new security measures.(If
the Same poll were held in Canada, I think most Canadians would vote the
same way. But Hey! When have the Liberals EVER listened to the public)
U.S.
senate passes Aviation Security Act
Pilots are the first
line of deterrence, and the last line of defense," Smith said.
He explained that terrorists
would be deterred knowing that they would face trained, armed opposition
if they tried to enter the cockpit of a U.S. airliner. Smith said armed
pilots would serve as the last line of defense should strengthened cockpit
doors and air marshals fail to stop an attack. "It's far preferable to
have the pilot shoot the hijacker," he said, than to have the plane shot
down by the Air Force after a terrorist gains control(Except
in Canada, Where the Liberals feel it's MUCH safer to shoot
the airliner down into a populated area than have something as dangerous
as a gun onboard..Of course, "BrainFarts" like this are very common among
Liberals in this country)
Anti-Terrorism
Act From garrybreitkreuz.com
My first concern is that this terrorism bill shifts the public,
the media and parliament's focus to increasing the
government's legislative powers rather than to the more pressing
problem of lack of resources committed to
fighting terrorism and government's misplaced priorities. (As
I have said before, MOST of these are MORE 'people
control' laws from the Liberals)
Bill
C-269: exemption of long guns from registration, be read the second time
and
referred
to a committee.
The government admits that 320,000 gun owners failed to apply
for a firearms licence. RCMP Superintendent Mike Buisson, director of firearms,
advised his staff that 90% of registration applications have errors. Despite
this fact daily production quotas have been tripled. Verifiers have been
laid off and staff directed to ignore the errors on registration applications.
The firearms registry is the biggest garbage collection system in the country.
(The
Liberals HAVE to listen Now. With 7 provinces and territories 'opting out',
Soon
to be Eight, not doing something positive to clear up this mess
would only be showing contempt for Democracy. Which do you see as being
the most important thing for Canadians right now? Apprehending Terrorists,
or harassing Law Abiding hunters, target shooters, and farmers?)
Australia:
Hand Gun registrations soar
"What we are concerned with in Australia is the number of semi-automatics
circulating in the legal market - all guns start out legal before they
fall into the illegal market."(Yadaa...Yadaa...Yadaa..
more of the same old crap from the 'Gun Control Lobby'. Perhaps if they
considered the fact that ALL People are born innocent, before some
of them grow up to be Criminals, the little light above their heads might
actually come on! ... But as usual, the 'Gun Control Lobby' has never
let facts become part of there ongoing campaign)
Martin
warned of more layoffs, sliding profits
"The overall view was that the government's room to manoeuvre is
very limited, and that meant that our options in terms of any new actions
or measures was very limited -- unless Canadians were prepared to go into
deficit. The economists did not believe we should go back into deficit.
That is certainly my view as well," Mr. Martin said.(
and STILL the liberals continue to pour tax dollars down the sinkhole of
the 'C-68 gun/people control' legislation that has been proven to do nothing
for safety OR crime Control.. It simply makes a Liberal 'Feel Better'...)
Gun-control
foe to get award for straight talk:
Mauser decided to examine gun-control policies to see if they were
justified. “I found out they didn't work," he
said. "I couldn't find any empirical support for gun laws. I was
sort of floored. So I started digging more and
doing more research. It is clear gun-control laws don't work. It's
a red herring essentially. Governments trot it out in order to be seen
to be doing something and also to hire their own people." He has testified
before the House of Commons and the Senate and has served as an expert
witness before the Supreme Court of Canada. He is always emphatic.
"More Canadians bleed to death from complications from taking anti-arthritic
drugs [between 1,000 and 2,000 a year] than die from gunshot-related homicides
[fewer than 250]," Mauser said. (He has also
shown that Canadian use firearms over 60,000
times per year to defend life or property. If only 1 in 40 of those
cases resulted in a life saved, Firearms are saving over
1500 lives per year. But Liberal gun control has nothing to do with crime,
or saving lives. Its a people control thing.)
Officer
shot and killed in hostage simulation
"Traditionally in our training exercises we use what
is called 'simunition,'
which is not live ammunition," said Chief Jack Beaton.(Guns
go off .. Ask Jim Hinter..
Fortunately for Jim No one was injured, but this is a tragedy that will
affect the lives of a lot of officers and their families. Always PROVE
your firearm. No one is immune)
Armed
air marshals
Armed air marshals are effective and necessary for the security
of Canadian passengers and, secondarily, for the competitiveness
of our airline industry. Mr. Collenette must drop his opposition to them
which, one suspects, is based not a cogent analysis of the pros and cons,
but on the Liberal fixed and unreasoning opposition always and everywhere
to the possession and use of firearms.(All Canadian
Airlines will have a hard time recovering until people feel safe. If a
terrorist gets through the current airport security, and the citizenry
of Canadian sheep onboard the aircraft do not jump him, you will be on
an aircraft the Liberals have designated for an air to air missile and
subsequent crash into a highly populated area. All because Liberals think
trained air marshals with guns on planes are dangerous???? In a time of
war, this mentally impaired, Paranoid Liberal attitude towards the legal
use of firearms has got to change for the safety of ALL Canadians. If the
Government Trusted Airport Security to keep terrorists off Canadian Aircraft,
they Would Not have Armed F-18's Patrolling the skies of Southern Ontario)
Violent
protest is a terrorist activity, Liberal MP says
OTTAWA - Violent protesters who destroy property and endanger lives
in the name of a political cause could fall under the broad measures of
the government's proposed anti-terrorism legislation, predicted MPs from
across the political spectrum yesterday.(With
more Liberal People Control Legislation, this part of the law would simply
allow the arrest of ANYBODY at a protest where some misguided idiots
resort to violence. It would then be up to the person arrested to 'prove'
they were not committing an act of terrorism. A considerable portion
of the violence is cause by police over reaction, (APEC?) and this would
give the police, and government the ultimate power to overreact. Presumed
Guilt and subsequent arrest by simply being in the policed area will be
rampant, and government sanctioned)
Ottawa
unwittingly assists terrorism
The first step is to claim refugee status, allowing the claimant
to remain in Canada while their case works its way through Canada's often
cumbersome immigration and refugee regulations. Next comes applications
for Canadian benefits -- welfare and health cards granting access to medical
care. That is used as a base salary as they establish themselves.(Then,
they are patted on the back, and reminded to Vote Liberal if they ever
decide to become a Canadian Citizen. But of course, there is no reason
to become a Canadian Citizen, because thanks to the un- elected, largely
Liberal appointed, supreme court, they already get all the financial and
legal benefits without the burden of ever having to acquire citizenship.)
Test
suggests baboons can reason
Finding the ability to reason in a non-ape primate such as the baboon
raises new questions about the evolution of intelligence. (perhaps
NOW, there is a new source of Voters for the Liberal Party
seeing that that they can no longer fast track refugee's to the future
Liberal voter pool . Also, Baboons, being from a rural environment,
will have the reasoning ability to see that it's CRIMINALS and NOT guns
that are the problem in Canada. Ahh there's hope on the horizon if only
the Liberals and the C.F.C. have the reasoning and foresight to incorporate
this new source of intelligence.)

TORONTO - Mike Harris has announced he will step down as Ontario
premier and head of the provincial Tory party as soon as the party executive
can pick a new leader. (PLEASE..PLEASE..PLEASE
MR. HARRIS.. BEFORE YOU GO, PUSH THROUGH THE HERITAGE HUNTING & FISHING
RIGHTS LAW YOU PROMISED.. PROTECT ONTARIO'S SPORTSMEN FROM THE LIBERALS.
The
best possible move the Canadian Alliance could do now, is to start
wooing Mike Harris as a leader. If the 'New' Ontario Liberals win the next
election, it will be a sad day for sportsmen right across the provence.
Populated almost entirely by 'city yuppies' Their leader "Dalton McGinty"
not only looks a lot like Norman Bates, but will also be just as quick
to stick a knife in the back of the hunters and fishermen of Ontario.
The signs are, the Liberals are all for Banning the bear hunt completely,
with tighter un-necessary, increased regulation of all all hunting
and fishing close behind They will throw Ontario's weight behind
the Dumb Firearm registration scheme, and plunge Ontario back into the
same debt they created the Last Time they were in power. It's unfortunate
that Ontario voters have such a short memory. Hell, the Liberals were so
bad the Last Time, that Ontario Actually voted in the NDP to replace them.
The thinking was 'What the heck, they couldn't possibly be any worse'..
Boy, did the NDP fool Ontario.. But that's another story.)
Police
get vast power of arrest
OTTAWA - Canadians could face arrest without warrant and be
forced to testify before a judge without charge under sweeping anti-terrorism
legislation tabled yesterday by Anne McLellan, the Minister of Justice.
Conceding that provisions such as arrest without a warrant are "basically
new" to Canadian law, Ms. McLellan said she would be comfortable defending
all the measures before any court as reasonable limits to individual rights.
"The Charter does not suggest for a minute that any rights are absolute,"
she said, noting that Section 1 of the Charter allows for limitations as
justified in "free and democratic society."(And
THIS coming from a Government that believes ONLY the Police and Soldiers
should have guns! Seeing that Chrétien going to be the Second Liberal
Prime Minister to curtail the rights of Canadians, perhaps, we should be
fearing the Liberals as much as we fear the Terrorists, and watch them
just as close. I'm not saying that some of these laws are not needed,
just that the Liberals are not to be trusted with this power, and have
to be monitored to head off inevitable abuses)
Martin
('STILL)
waits to decide on budget
OTTAWA - Paul Martin, Finance Minister, insists he is still waiting
to find out whether a new budget will be
needed to pay for the government's planned counter-terrorist measures,
expected to be unveiled tomorrow. Mr. Martin said economic conditions
in Canada are not yet as dire as those in the United States, but
added his department is focused on ensuring that Canada avoids a repeat
of 1990-91, "when the U.S. went into an eight-month recession and Canada
ended up in a four-year slowdown."(Seing that
we have not HAD a budget in TWO YEARS what the hell is he waiting for?
That "four-year slowdown" sure looked like a recession to everyone NOT
on the Government payroll! We can not afford the C.F.C., and Canadians
will not stand for the huge waste of money it represents. The wasting of
a Billion Dollars at a time of great need for our Military, and homeland
security is simply obscene. The Liberal Paranoia of 'everything' to do
with guns has got to be treated, and exposed to the 'real' world for the
sickness that it is. Just like any other mass hysteria or mental illness,
Admitting the problem exists, is the first step on the road to recovery)
Terrorists
eye nuclear plants, expert says
OTTAWA - Terrorists are clearly gathering information for their
next move and the target could be Canada's nuclear facilities, a former
official with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service says.(The
prevailing winds from Pickering, or Darlington Plants in Ontario would
carry toxins directly into N.Y. State. Maybe that's the reason for the
f-18's patrolling the north shore of Lake Ontario. A radiation releasing
hit to either of these plants would be the most devastating blow for Canada,
and the Northern U.S.)
U.S.
'judge, jury, executioner': NDP
McDonough told reporters that she's not worried the NDP is the only
federal political party opposed to the U.S. led air strikes against Afghanistan's
ruling Taliban. The NDP is in the middle of a renewal process, reviewing
the recommendations of a panel set up after poor election results last
winter. Some delegates at the meeting said it's essential they remain opposed
to the military campaign. The party must offer Canadians a clear alternative
on important issues, they argued. (Sure! this
will make a BIG difference in future election results. My advice! Keep
renewing you've got a long long way to go.)
U.S.
Pilots Push for Return of Weapons
LAS VEGAS (AP) - Slid into a holster and nestled between manuals
and maps, the .38 special was packed into pilot Don Worley's flight bag
before every trip. Once inside the cockpit, Worley strapped the gun to
his belt. He never had to use it, but he was ready. (Of
course, in Canada, a small .38 would be classified as a "Saturday Night
Special" and Banned anyway. RCMP are providing Air Marshal service into
Reagan Int. because Canada was probably told to told to stay the hell out
if it could not provide comparable security. All 'unarmed' flights to the
U.S. should be banned next.)
Agreement
in gun debate? Depends on your level of selective hearingEdmonton
Sun October 11, 2001
For once, both sides of the gun-registration debate see eye-to-eye:
Canadians don't need guns to protect themselves from terrorists.
"The NFA does not advise people to go out and buy a gun and sit behind
their door in fear," said association president Jim Hinter. Although Wendy
Cukier said she agrees people don't need to arm themselves for personal
protection, she said registering and licensing firearms is important in
protecting Canadians. (Again, good ol Wendy Only
hears what she wants to hear. Canadians may not need their guns to pick
off terrorists 'Yet' However, Canadian
citizens DO use guns for personal protection over 60,000 times per year.
As
Sad as it may seem at a time of war, THIS is a Liberal Priority
So: We have an unconstitutional law that criminalizes landowners,
steals their property and destroys their
livelihood; it then erects a massive bureaucracy and hurts conservation
efforts through perverse incentives. No
species, animal or human, deserves this. (Very
much like their stupid gun control laws, here's another kick in the ass,
big stick approach to people control from the Liberal Government. I'm sure,
that thanks to THIS law, the Majority of people will make Damn sure no
endangered species will ever be found on 'their' land..Oh ya! this is going
to conserve a lot of endangered wildlife)
Amendment
To Arm Airline Pilots Adopted In The U.S. Senate
When the Aviation Security Act comes before the House, I hope you
will use your leadership position to allow
amendments to the bill that would let pilots be armed. There are
plenty of aviation engineers who agree that bullet holes will not cause
a massive depressurization in a plane. If depressurization was truly a
concern, then why are we even considering putting air marshals on planes?
Their bullets will be no different from the ones being used by the pilots.
But more to the point, there is no way we can get an air marshal on all
35,000 daily flights. So the only way to deter these terrorists is to make
sure that our last line of defense -- the pilots -- can protect the plane.
Reinforcing the cockpit doors is also a good idea, but it's not a panacea.
Are we to assume that on a long trip the door will NEVER be opened? That
pilots will NEVER take a bathroom break? That there is no one among the
flight crew who will ever have the keys or security codes to open the door?
Reinforcing the cockpit doors can help. But the only way to stop terrorism
on board aircraft is to let these villains know in advance that, if they
ever try to invade the cockpit, they'll be sorry. Please support
language that will allow pilots to be armed, and thus, will enable them
to protect the lives of their crewmembers and passengers. Thank you. (This
may mean that American Flights WON'T be coming into Canada. I Doubt if
American Pilots or their Companies would allow the Paranoid Liberals of
Canada to enter cockpits, and confiscate their firearms on arrival as they
have been doing to U.S. Private Corporate Aircraft..The Liberal Mass
Delusions, and fear, that guns have no legitimate use in society,
is endangering the lives of ALL North American People. They are again,
making Canada look ridiculous on the world stage.)
Ottawa
set to down hijacked planes
Ottawa also faced criticism over the refusal
by David Collenette, the Transport Minister, to put armed air marshals
on commercial flights. "The introduction of firearms on planes, whether
by a police officer or
intruder, is something that you just don't
want to do," Mr. Collenette said.(The
introduction of firearms on planes by a police officer is Something that
you just don't want to do???? Oh ya, it makes a Hell of a LOT more sense
to shoot down an airliner full of people into a populated area!! What the
hell is the problem with Liberals and their Sick, Paranoid Fear, of ANYONE
with a firearm. These ARE NOT the people who should be leading a
country in a time of war. We have a doddling old fart for a Prime Minister,
and a bunch of pacifist yuppies with absolutely NO military experience,
aimlessly wandering behind. Canadian Planes should be BANNED from American
Airspace until such a time as these fools come to their senses and seek
treatment for their baseless, unfounded, unhealthy, phobias)
Attacks
feared within days
WASHINGTON - The FBI issued a nationwide alert yesterday, exactly
one month after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, that it had information
there might be further attacks within the United States and against U.S.
interests in the next few days.(F-18's have been
patrolling lake Ontario. Darlington, and Pickering Nuclear Plants are right
along that route. A strike to one of these plants would result in the prevailing
winds dispersing radiation into New York State, as well as turning
most of southern Ontario into the equivalent of Chernobyl.)
Canadian
Soldiers Told "Don't Wear Your Uniform In Public"
Is the federal government worried that men and women in uniform
would themselves be vulnerable to some internal threat, and so must be
cloaked in the anonymity of civvies? If that is the case, then the
threat to national security posed by terrorists is far greater than anyone
in responsible office has yet been prepared to let on.(It
its also possible, that Pacifist Liberals Don't want you thinking that
Violence may actually exists in Canada, and Soldiers in uniforms might
upset the fictitious "Culture of Safety" They try to promote. After all,
soldiers use guns and fight wars. As every good Liberal knows, guns
'n' wars are 'Un-Canadian' . Do your children and GrandChildren a Favour
this Christmas, By them WAR TOYS so they don't grow up thinking Soldiers
are the Bad People as the Liberal Pacifist, Extremists, would have them
believe.)
Parlyament?
What Parlyament? I'm da P.M.! I don Need No Steenking Parlyament
In the face of an international terrorist emergency, the PM has
finally dropped his business-as-usual demeanour, but he has clearly not
changed in giving Parliament scant respect. After the terrorist attacks
of Sept. 11, the nation had to wait until Mr. Chrétien spoke at
a political fundraising dinner to hear how he saw the country's immediate
future unfolding. It was on CNN's Larry King Live rather than in the Commons
that the PM disclosed his thoughts on Canada's lax refugee screening process.
And to find out what Canada's contribution to the war effort would
be, citizens needed a seat at the 47th Annual NATO Parliamentary Assembly
in Ottawa. So far, Parliament has hardly amounted to a sideshow.(The
Smartest thing the Canadian Alliance could do right now, is vote for a
person with Ranking Military Experience as its new leader.
Make Canada Once Again, The
Proud Nation it Was 50 years ago. )
Anthrax
vaccine, antibiotics being stockpiled: Rock
According to one health official at the press conference, Ottawa
and Toronto are now best prepared to handle a bioterrorist attack.
Other Canadian city officials are being asked to inform their physicians
and front-line emergency workers about the symptoms of anthrax and other
potentially deadly viruses to ensure a quick response in the event of an
attack.(You notice, that 'Ottawa' is First on
the List! Other Large cities across Canada (the West!) are basically being
told: While bending over, and waiting for your Anthrax Vaccine, kiss your
ass goodbye)
Proposed
Liberal Law would have Lawyers Reporting Clients to the Government
Lawyers would not only be expected to evaluate their clients' private
financial transactions based on arbitrary criteria, notes Mr. DelBigio;
they would be required to secretly report all transactions exceeding $10,000
to the Financial Transaction and Reports Analysis Centre. Failure to do
so will be punishable by fines of up to $2-million and as much as five
years in prison. Mr. DelBigio and others are alarmed by a set of indicators
the agency claims signal dubious deals. -Clients
who are nervous, - Who are reluctant to discuss financial issues,
-Who receive correspondence at addresses other than their homes or -Who
try to develop a "close rapport" with law office staff would all be suspect
under the guidelines.(Of course, this
is being done under the name of 'Fighting Terrorism' But if the Liberals
were not so free at letting Terrorists (disguised as future Liberal Voters)
into this country, They would not have an excuse to attempt to limit the
rights of Canadians. This group of "guidelines" sounds like it was last
used in Germany 50+ years ago. It also sounds like it may have been written
by the same group of "Liberal Experts" that wrote the firearms act)
Canadian
and his wife, Shot in Kuwait
Canadian man was killed in a popular Kuwait market when a gunman
walked up behind him and fired repeatedly in an attack that may be
related to the U.S.-led bombing of Afghanistan. The Canadian, reported
by a Kuwaiti newspaper to be Luke Adiry, 36, an aircraft technician at
south Kuwait's Ahmad al-Jaber air base, where U.S. forces are stationed,
died immediately from bullets to his head and body. His wife, reported
to be named Mary Jane, a 26-year-old Filipina, was shot twice in the chest
and once in the groin.(Planning a trip
to the Middle East? Forget it!)
THE
22 MOST WANTED LIST
President George W. Bush displayed a list
of the 22 most wanted terrorists in the world, and released their photographs
yesterday . "Terrorists try to operate in the shadows, they try to hide,
but we're going to shine the light of justice on them," said Mr. Bush.
U.S. officials hope a reward of $5-million will reap information about
the men.(Have a look at the pictures,
THEN have a look at your neighbours, they guy next to you on the subway,
people on the street. Report ANYONE who you think looks like one of the
pictures. If your Right, then pass go, and collect 5 million dollars. With
Canada's "Trust the Refugee, he's never lied to us before" policy, You
might be seeing some of these guys everyday on the street, or at work.

Suck
em Right out of the Caves with Vacuum Bombs
A typical fuel air explosive device consists of a container of fuel
and two separate explosive charges. After the munition is dropped or fired,
the first explosive charge bursts open the container at a predetermined
height and disperses the fuel in a cloud that mixes with atmospheric oxygen
(the size of the cloud varies with the size of the munition). The cloud
of fuel flows around objects and into structures. The second charge then
detonates the cloud, creating a massive blast wave. The blast wave destroys
unreinforced buildings and equipment and kills and injures personnel. The
antipersonnel effect of the blast wave is more severe in foxholes, on personnel
with body armor, and in enclosed spaces such as caves, buildings,
and bunkers.(Click

"Society
is safer when criminals don't know who's armed,"
SACRAMENTO (AP) -- A California gun group launched a billboard campaign
Monday touting firearm ownership as a response to last month's terrorist
attacks. The billboards, with the message "Society is safer
when criminals don't know who's armed," is similar to a 1995 campaign.
However, the California Rifle and Pistol Association said this year's campaign
is particularly timely in light of the terrorist attacks and the
current debate over arming flight crews to thwart hijackers.(Pure
Logic has always escaped the minds of Canadian liberal parties. Airline
Pilots that command multi-million dollar machines, and are responsible
for thousands of lives everyday, are too stupid and incompetent to
be armed. Park wardens who face armed poachers in remote areas, are too
stupid and incompetent to be armed. Law abiding Canadian citizens who have
had firearms training, regular practice, own and transport firearms everyday,
must keep them locked, in a locked box, away from locked ammunition, because
they are too stupid and incompetent to be armed. Perhaps Liberals, who
probably 'would' shoot them selves in the foot, are the ONLY ones too stupid
and incompetent to be armed, and they judge us all by their own
inability's.)
PM
to unveil stricter security measures
the government is still studying whether to take over policing
at airports from the combination of private companies, local police and
RCMP that perform the function now, sources say. A decision is not expected
this week, they said. Nor is the government likely to put sky marshals
on planes as the Americans are doing. Mr. Collenette said yesterday after
a Cabinet meeting he is opposed to the idea, which Air Canada has advocated,
but he would not rule it out entirely.(Canadian
AND American safety is being compromised by the liberals paranoid fear
of firearms, and the thought that in spite of all their propaganda,
they may actually save lives. Canadian Aircraft should be BANNED from American
Airspace until such a time as they get over their ridiculous fear of armed,
trained personal. whether they be Sky Marshals, or Park Wardens. Its absolutely
ludicrous. The American tighter ground security did not prevent a 'nutcase'
from storming the cockpit last week)
Al-Qaeda
cells active in Canada
Cells of Osama bin Laden's terrorist group in Toronto and
Vancouver are acting as command and logistics posts to direct a new wave
of attacks against the United States, an Israeli-based security publication
claims. "An additional 150 terrorists [waiting for missions] are scattered
around Canada, Europe, the Persian Gulf and the Far East. They live quietly
under false identities, with wives and families, usually locals who do
not suspect that the head of the family is a terrorist."(The
Keyword is WATCH.. Has your middle eastern neighbor rented a truck?. The
Only thing Chrétien has ever said that makes any sense, is "Forget
about looking to the far-off mountains of distant Afghanistan. Those
wondering who might be responsible for the next terrorist attack should
perhaps look over their backyard fence"
Gun
Buying Surge Shows Many Feel 'Responsible for Their Own Safety'
"With gun shops enjoying a surge in sales since the Sept. 11 terrorist
attacks in New York and Washington, it begs the question by some - why
the purchase of a gun would make anybody feel safer. The terrorists hijacked
airliners and aimed them at buildings. Could anybody on the ground with
a gun have made a difference? Dave Workman, Senior Editor of Gun Week magazine
has an explanation. 'Gun sales have gone up in several states, because
there is a fear that the police, while they do as well as they can, are
not going to be there when we need them,' Workman said. 'There are a lot
of people who never have owned a firearm before that are
making their first gun purchase."(The
General Scuttlebutt in Canada is that there are as many gun sales now,
as there were before Crap69. The difference is, only
New
guns are being registered. Used rifles and shotguns are changing hands
by the thousands everyday. Most gun owners feel "Who's to say you
haven't owned it for 30 years", and most also hold nothing but contempt
for the Liberal flunkies that want to eventually outlaw the 'private' ownership
of firearms. When only the government and the police have firearms,
YOU
will ONLY have, what they let you keep.)
U.S.
Immigration can be Tough & Heartless
Deena Gilbey, 37, lost her husband, Paul, in the inferno of
the south tower on September 11, and with him, according to the Immigration
and Naturalisation Service, she lost her right to live in the United
States. The couple, from Southend-on Sea, Essex, had two sons, Maxwell,
seven, and Mason, three, who were
born in America and so are American citizens. According
to the immigration officers' rulebook, the boys can stay, but she must
go. Just days after her husband's death she was sent an official
notice warning her that her right to live in America was to be withdrawn. On
Friday, the family was dealt another astonishingblow
when a probate lawyer told Mrs Gilbey that, because she has no status
as either a citizen or official Green Card immigrant, the Internal Revenue
Service will take 60 per cent of her husband's life insurance in
tax. If she had been American, she would pay no tax on her husband's estate.
Chatham's police chief George Kurzenknabe has even promised that
he "will barricade the house" if immigration officials dare to approach
with a deportation warrant, while the chief of the suburb's volunteer fire
brigade has offered to "sit on the porch with a rifle".(Sometimes
People have to come before Bureaucracy)
Yesterday's
man
"who will call the shots" in President Bush's "coalition" (Mr. Axworthy
places quotation marks around the word, implying sarcasm). It is amusing
to hear Mr. Axworthy demanding a greater role in President Bush's coalition.
Canadians would certainly prefer to be at the hub of the arrangement, but
Mr. Axworthy's style during his four years as foreign minister was more
calculated to put us under the wheel. He would trot from international
forum to international forum, haranguing the United States and mobilizing
against its positions and initiatives. He made Canada a nuisance to Washington
on international criminal courts, land mines, missile defence, and
Israel. We're lucky Mr. Bush still takes our calls.(We're
ALL thankfull this pompus jerk is the former foreign affairs minister.
)
Our
warships to be treated as 'American'
"The JTF-2s are the only part of our operation that is really useful
right now, in a real confrontation that's part of a modern conflict. Most
of our other units are under-strength, under-equipped, and under-supported."
The JTFs would likely not participate in general combat alongside ground
troops, although they could carry out specialized operations such as marking
targets with laser designations for bombers. "They do very exact and specific
applications of violence, and by that I mean put a bullet in one guy's
head, and ignore everyone else," he added.(I wonder
how many Liberal asses had to be kicked in order to even originaly form
this squad?)
NATO
chief easier now on Canada
Lord Robertson, who arrived in Ottawa last night for a NATO parliamentary
conference, attempted to smooth over the feathers he ruffled during a visit
two years ago, when he said Canada's military spending languishes
near tiny Luxembourg's. "I am glad Canada is modernizing, is buying new
equipment that is relevant to the kind of threats that will be involved
in the future," Lord Robertson said.(Ya, its
just a shame that it takes a swift Kick in the ass to get a Liberal started
down the road to Non Pacifist spending. And, the ASS kicking can't stop
until Canada is a world power again.)
Canada
mobilizing military units to back U.S., but Chretien won't give detail
OTTAWA (CP) - Canadian military units are gearing up to join the
American-led war on terrorism, Prime Minister Jean Chretien revealed
Sunday after the U.S. launched its first air strikes against Afghanistan.
After weeks of uncertainty about whether Canada will play a military role
in the international campaign against terrorism, the U.S. formally
requested military support from Canada on Friday, Chretien said. But
What can Canada actually do? (Like the
Flat Chested Homely Girl finally being asked to dance, In
a magnanimous gesture to relieve some of the embarrassment the Liberals
are experiencing, George W. asks for Canadian Military support! I wonder
what we could possibly have that the U.S. or Britain might need? We do
have well trained soldiers that all Canadians can be very proud of, but
very little modern equipment for them to use. Our aircraft lack the sophisticated
data communications used by everyone else, We have Frigates, but not enough
people to man them all. They are sending Sea King Helicopters, although
not as effective as bombs, they do drop from the skies with alarming regularity.
If the Taliban have "Rust Seeking Missiles" we done for!)
Canada
slammed as NATO 'passenger'
The head of the British Parliament's defence committee yesterday
dismissed Canada as a "passenger" in NATO with inadequate military might
to contribute to the war on terrorism. "Canada is an important player in
the world, and we hope that will be eventually reflected in a greater
commitment to NATO and a greater
commitment to developing their armed forces, which have been in
a state of decline for a long, long time,"(Right
now, Canada has only 8 MP's with any military experience what-so-ever.
Liberal pacifist don't feel a military is very important, so why promote
anything to do with arms or defence. That is until the Liberal pacifist
finds his or her ass in a vice, and then, too late, requires a virtually
non existent military force to bail them out. We have No Leadership, and
No Military Force to speak of. Like a parasite, the Liberals cling to the
backs of the U.S. Forces and beg for protection. Proud Canadian Veterans
of two world wars are hanging their heads in shame. Liberal Policies of
Non Commitment are showing the Canadian people what they voted into power.
God help us, if any of the possible 4000 bogus refugee/sleeping terrorists
released into the Canadian Public by Liberal, 'politically correct' immigration,
decide to enact their missions.)
War
veteran charged
CHARLOTTETOWN -- An 81-year-old man is facing a criminal charge
and has been banned from flying with Air Canada for life after asking a
baggage handler in Charlottetown whether she was looking for a bomb in
his wife's change purse.( I
guess you can be charged for asking a stupid question too! However, I would
consider being banned from Air Canada as more of a reward than a punishment!)
Armed
pilots (Nat.Post Letters Oct.5th)
If the pilots had been armed on Sept. 11, we would not be dealing
with massive structures transformed into graveyards in a matter of hours.
I believe that equipping pilots with access to guns and the training to
use them properly would be prudent in light of what has happened. Captain
David Wiebe, Kitimat, B.C.
Committee
dismisses request by minister to speed through immigration legislation
"The minister is taking this position to give Canadians a sense
that they are doing something instead of doing nothing," Mr. Di Nino said.
"The minister's comments are giving Canadians a false sense of security
because this bill has nothing in it that would address ... the terrorist
problems created after Sept. 11." Ms. Caplan had hoped the Senate would
wrap up committee hearings this week, but Marjory Lebreton, a Tory Senator,
said they expect to call witnesses until the end of October. The committee
may also recommend amendments, raising the possibility the bill could be
returned to the House of Commons. "I don't believe a delay would
be in the Canadian public interest," Ms. Caplan said.(With
Liberals being Famous for 'knee jerk' legislation that does nothing, and
removes rights from law abiding citizens. The senators seems to have come
to their senses, and are paying more attention to weed out Liberal Bullshit)
Ontario: Teen sentenced to write
essay for firing fake gun at officer (Nat.Post
wst to est.)
KITCHENER - A teen almost killed by a police officer after firing
a paintball gun in the officer's direction has been sentenced to write
an essay. A judge ordered the 17-year-old to describe how the officer must
have felt when he drew his gun, believing he was being fired on. "I hope
you understand how close you came to dying that day," the judge said. (This
kid probably thought the whole thing was a big joke.. 'Splat the Cop Car'..hahaha..A
few months ago in Bradford Ontario, The police were ordering a shooting
suspect to halt, Onlooking teenagers were chiding the man to keep
walking, ignore the police, "Canadian Police are not allowed to fire their
guns".. I'm sure a lot of stuff went through their minds when the suspect
pulled out a sawed off shot gun and pointed it at the police. The police
responded correctly, and protected their lives, as well as the lives of
the chiding teenagers when they fired, killing the armed man before he
could wildly fire his weapon. The suspect had also, shot himself in the
leg as he was pulling the gun out of his pack. Sometimes Kids 'just don't
think' and that's their biggest problem)
Gun
control; Not part of perimeter debate
we are already hearing the voices of those who warn that a perimeter
border will diminish our sovereignty and threaten our identity. Local
police and customs workers, for example, have raised the spectre of illegal
guns making their way into Canada if the border is opened. And if Windsor
is going to be at risk from guns transported from downtown Detroit, then
you would also expect that the 50,000-plus residents of Grosse Pointe would
be inundated with gun crime. Grosse Pointe has no officials on its border
with Detroit checking individuals and vehicles. However, in Grosse Pointe
crime related to guns is rare; it's an exceedingly safe place to live.
There's no reason to expect that Windsor would face any greater threat
with a more open border than would Grosse Pointe. (Vermont
borders Quebec, and has NO gun control laws on the books. Any adult, can
own anything, and carry it without permits or permission, and has the lowest
crime rate in the U.S. Compare this with Washington
D.C which has STRICT gun Control! I wonder how "Wendy The gun
control fanatic" would explain that? )
Canada
bracing for bioterror
The Canadian Security Intelligence Service has previously said Canada
is "as vulnerable as any of the other Western industrialized states to
the kind of nightmarish, mass-casualty (chemical or biological) terrorist
attack that until recently was confined to fiction."It's a matter of when,
not if, such an attack will occur, said a CSIS report in 2000.(Remote
access to reservoirs, power grids, food distribution areas, and suppliers
of crop dusting chemicals, should be patrolled by armed security. )
The
New South Wales Has Extended the guns registration amnesty by one month.
"This will give people the opportunity to understand that
there has to be a line in the sand drawn about gun
registration, and that day is November 2," he said. "I've
decided to extend the closure date by one month so that those who wish
to become compliant with the law can do so.(Amnesties
are extended for only one reason. Governments are having trouble getting
people to comply with bad laws, and they have to get their numbers looking
good, even if they have to fudge them as Canada does. I have no way
of knowing for sure, but Australians are not Stupid! There are probably
two to three times as many unregistered guns as registered ones. Like many
Canadian Firearm owners have reported, most will only register what they
don't care if they loose come the big collection day)
Phoney
Pacifist: The REAL Cowards
How many pacifists would be willing to accept the logical
outcome of their creed of non-violence even in face of attack--life as
a conquered people? Not many, I would think. How many want the (mostly
lower-class) men and women of the United States armed forces to continue
to fight so that they may enjoy the luxury of preaching against fighting?
Nearly all, I would think. Liars. Frauds. Hypocrites. Strong letters, no
doubt, to follow.(Canada is rampant with phoney
pacifists, and I doubt many of them would be willing to give up the freedoms
they have gained from the blood of their parents and grandparent who fought
two world wars, so that they have the right to preach pacifism and cowardice)
Cull
delay 'worsened epidemic'
The foot-and-mouth crisis in the UK would now be over had a more
aggressive culling programme been implemented earlier in the crisis. (Perhaps
taking firearms away from farmers, and not allowing vets the firearms to
dispatch infected cattle immediately wasn't such a good idea after all!)
Hunters
cancel trips to Canada
The cancellations, called in by hunters either afraid of flying
or
afraid of losing their guns at the border, will likely cost the industry
hundreds of thousands of dollars, Mr. Cariou said.(A
large percentage of the U.S. Hunters arrive in Canada by Car. A fear of
flying is not a big factor. What is a big factor is Canada's Stupid
Gun laws. Why would any American cross the border knowing the the information
supplied to Canada regarding privately held firearms will be 'pipelined'
to the BATF. And why is Air Canada the ONLY one to receive bailout funds?
A lot of businesses are going to go belly up because of these Paranoid
Liberal Gun Laws.)
PRIVACY
COMMISSIONER’S REPORT ON THE GUN REGISTRY REVEALS MUCH MORE
Today, Garry Breitkreuz, MP for Yorkton-Melville, released
his own analysis of the Privacy
Commissioner’s report. “The entire 81-page report is worth reading,”
said Breitkreuz, especially 34 recommendations in Appendix A – Summary
of Recommendations for Parts I and II (page 49). Upon reading the report,
I found twenty-four rather startling
revelations the Privacy Commissioner made about how the Justice Minister
is mishandling the firearms file.” (I wonder how
their now, going to justify the huge amound of money thats going to be
wasted trying to get the 14,000,000 firearms (Vapourarms) registered,
that the government says do not exist anymore because according to them,
there are only 7,000,000 firearms in the country..Funny, 10 years ago there
were 21,000,000)
Will
proposed terrorism bill curtail rights of Canadians?
All parties agreed to make way for the antiterrorism legislation
yesterday when they decided to split a controversial crime bill that
was threatening to block the work of Parliament. The six elements of Bill
C-15 that enjoy unanimous support, such as those dealing with child pornography
and home invasions, will be passed with
limited consultation before the end of October. The two other controversial
elements of this omnibus bill, dealing with cruelty to animals and the
firearms registry, will be put to a vote by the end of November. The opposition
parties said the split was a major victory for them because it allows further
debate on issues that have meet stiff resistance in rural Canada. Ms. McLellan,
who had always rejected calls to split C-15, refused to acknowledge that
it was indeed being broken up.(No of course Ms
McLellan, it's not being broken up, Its just that common sense has prevailed,
and its simply in two pieces, but not broken up!!! (?) A good example of
a Liberal mind at work)
Greyhound
halts all U.S. buses after crash
MANCHESTER, Tenn. (AP-CP) - A Greyhound bus crashed today
after a passenger reportedly slit the driver's throat. Six of the 38 people
aboard were killed and Greyhound halted all service in the United States
as a precaution, the company said. Two senior federal law enforcement officials,
speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Associated Press the
FBI had found no immediate connection between the crash and its terrorist
investigations.(Americans can carry concealed
firearms on a bus, but sometimes a 'really' crazy person with a knife is
too fast)
The Liberal neglect of our Military
even has Leno making Jokes About it.
Jay Leno, on last nights show (Oct. 2nd) Made
the crack that Jean Chrétien called Bush and told him, the full
Canadian Military was at his disposal. "Both Tanks"...(
And, a great laugh was had by all in the audience. If Canadians have ANYTHING
to be nationally embarrassed about, its the chronic under funding of our
military by politicians that don't have a clue regarding military needs,
and what really makes a country strong. If the AirFarce didn't have a Chicken
Cannon, Which by the way is now an illegal firearm we would have
no "at Home" defence capabilities at all)
British
Columbia Teachers' Federation is urging public school teachers to teach
A Culture of Peace.
"A Culture of Peace" insults those who have died for our freedom
and those who will risk their lives in the days to come for the same
cause. The terrorist enemy we face is not interested in social or
economic development. In fact, he seeks the opposite: In places such as
Sudan and Afghanistan, the imposition of strict Islamic law has brought
widespread poverty and repression. There are times when Western nations
must go to war to defend freedom. Now is one of those times. The BCTF should
not confuse students with an airbrushing of the West's opponents or the
advancement of pacifist cant.(If our parents
and grandparents listened to the crap they are teaching, our conquerors
would never have allowed the freedom they have to teach it today!)
Of
muskets and terrorism
When Bush says he visualizes a terrorist's face on a "Wanted: Dead
or Alive" poster, he sets himself squarely in a great American tradition.
His talk about "smoking them out" or "draining the swamps" speaks to the
mind-set of the hunter, gun under arm, waiting to blast away some critters.
His stirring speech to Congress and the nation had the steely glint of
the gunfighter ordering the bad guys out of town by nightfall. The refutation
of Michael Bellesiles's book makes clear that armed solutions are
part of a long-standing tradition. Don't expect the U.S. government
to address the "root" causes of terrorism as many well-meaning Canadian
(and some U.S.) commentators have urged. Do expect guns blazing at high
noon.(If you don't fight, the alternative
is surrender! Once you have 'surrendered' you then have the label of 'Victim'.
Our
government, which has denied the means of personal armed defence
to every law abiding Canadian, has crafted not a culture of safety, but
a Culture of Victims. The Terrorists of this world are fully aware of that,
and as a result, they never have to fear the "Rifle behind every blade
of grass syndrome". We Are Vulnerable, and 50 Years of Knee Jerk
Response, Pacifist Governments, have legislated us in that direction. If
this isn't a Wake-Up Call, I don't know what is!)
Deny
some refugees Charter rights
The 1985 Supreme Court of Canada's decision, which ruled that
everyone present in Canada is protected by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
For the people who have most motive to come, what is important is to get
to a Canadian airport," writes Mr. Kent. "That is the word, internationally
widespread. Canada's reputation for competent government is badly tarnished."(The
Bureaucratic thought up Canadian Motto of : "Peace, Order, and Good Government"
seems to be lacking the good government! Unless of course your a bogus
refugee trying to plant yourself in this country. Then the type of government
Canada has, is just Perfect!)
DIRECT
T.V. DOESN'T CARE
Larry Ormodia, the owner of Direct TV Canada,
hired an artist, Gary Smith, to portray bin Laden in water-based paint
and chalk on the side of a railway bridge at the intersection of Scarlett
Road and St. Clair Avenue West in west Toronto."We wanted to get people's
attention ... Bin laden is a hot piece of news," he said yesterday. "I'm
not selling bin Laden, I'm selling channels. I don't condemn or support
bin Laden; I'm neutral."(6000+ People Dead!
and THIS AssHole is Neutral. Anyone STILL wanna buy Direct T.V.)
El
Al - The Worlds Most Secure Airline
"After a year of heavy losses, El Al's bookings have soared
since Sept. 11, with many passengers too fearful
to fly other airlines. Having lived for decades with bombs and suicide
attacks, Israel designed the industry's most impenetrable flight security
more than 20 years ago. Officials say it is a stunning success. Despite
several wars and endless conflict at home, El Al's sole hijacking was in
1968, before the system began. Once you board, up to five armed undercover
agents will travel with you in strategic aisle seats, ready for attack.
Furthermore, like many Israelis, cabin crews are former soldiers in the
Israeli military who have received combat training. The cockpit door, of
reinforced steel, is locked from the inside before passengers board and
is opened only after everyone has disembarked at their destination. No
matter what's going on in the rest of the plane, it is never opened during
flight.(If North American Airlines are
going to stay in business, they may have to take a few lessons from EI
AL.)
Manley
will run security sweep: Our 'rose-coloured glasses' have to go
"Things have to change and things will change, there's no doubt
about that," Mr. Chrétien said at a Liberal fundraising dinner last
night in Kitchener.(It seems that Chrétien
never opens his mouth unless he's at a Liberal fundraiser, or on Larry
King.. If you want to know what our P.M. is doing, tune in to CNN! Maybe
it the only way he can get anyone to listen to him anymore. )
B.C.
man flew with machine-guns, court told
VICTORIA (CP) - Airport security failed to detect two submachine-guns
and several boxes of ammunition a 50-year-old man in the midst of a drinking
binge had packed in his luggage on flights from Yellowknife, N.W.T., to
Vancouver in April. Airline security didn't find two weapons, magazines,
bullets (This was in April, and nothing
much seems to have changed!)
Dogs
set ablaze as warning to Taleban's opposition
DASHTI QALA, AFGHANISTAN - The Taleban herded the population of
the war-ravaged northern
town of Taleqan into its main square. Then they began parading three
dogs. Each had a shaved head stencilled with the names of the men the movement
most despised: Burhunnadin Rabbani, the ousted Afghan president, Zahir
Shah, the exiled king, and George W. Bush, President of the United States.
Then they poured gasoline on the dogs and set fire to them.(This
reveals VOLUMES about the mindset of the 'people?' and Governments that
are harbouring these terrorists)
UN
resolution targets Canada
UNITED NATIONS - Canadian refugee laws were the impetus for elements
of a newly passed UN resolution calling on countries to ensure terrorists
do not enter and remain in their territory disguised as refugees, experts
say. Although Canada is not named in the internationally binding
resolution, passed by the Security Council on Friday, its American drafters
had their northern neighbour uppermost in mind when they proposed two paragraphs
demanding states tighten refugee regulations, they say.(Yup!
No I.D. and a sob story gets them in every time.. Well..The 'do' have to
promise to show up in court if they are going to be deported.. I mean,
their honest people, why wouldn't they.. Well, Not counting the 4000 running
around the country planning stuff and looking for crop dusters now
eh!)
Native
guides flout game laws: wildlife agents
OTTAWA - Undercover wildlife agents have discovered widespread law-breaking
among native
hunting guides on the Walpole Island First Nation reserve, the Canadian
Wildlife Service alleges. But Joseph Gilbert, chief of the reserve, says
the federal wildlife agency had no right to conduct its undercover
sting. Now the reserve's native police will not co-operate with the wildlife
service in bringing the 12 accused guides to court, and the chief is demanding
a public apology.(Natives do NOT have the right
to sell the resources of all Canadians Just because they are natives. Migratory
birds do not JUST belong to Natives. Their own consumption is one thing,
but claiming to have the right to sell those birds to outsiders is unacceptable,
and may only show that they are not responsible enough to manage game resources
within their lands )
A
dozen Canadian MPs volunteer to join Armed Forces for educational week
Roger Gallaway, the MP for Sarnia-Lambton, Ont., went to boot camp
and was almost shot during a simulated exercise. Bev Desjarlais, the NDP
MP for Churchill, Man., who is afraid of heights, joined the air force
for a week and ended up being dropped deep into an Ontario forest, and
having to be airlifted into a Labrador helicopter. The program is modeled
on one that has operated in the United Kingdom for more than adecade.
Research showed only eight of Canada's 301 MPs had any exposure to the
Armed Forces.(Well, here's hoping it will
teach them something about our dwindling military capabilities. But then
again, it won't make much difference, the PM and the 'inside rat pack'
don't pay much attention to backbenches, and you certainly won't see any
BIG names doing this.)
Scan
eyes at airports: airline organization
Iris technology examines the unique patterns of the iris, the coloured
ring around the pupil of the eye. Iris scans are non-invasive. A person
puts his or her face in front of a camera, which analyzes all the features.
The system can be used to check passengers at the ticket desk, baggage
check-in and boarding area. (And of course, your
scan will be added to the ever increasing Government database. Taking a
flight, will result in the automatic Government registration of your physical
identification. This is much easier than saying "Your Papers Please" and
a lot less painful than having a number tattooed on your arm, or having
a identification pellet injected under your skin just like the family dog.)
Airlines
add surcharge to cover insurance costs
Air Canada and Canada 3000 followed on the heels of WestJet and
announced a $3 surcharge for each flight. The fee will be automatically
added to the ticket price. (I would rather MY
$3.00 go toward better Security & Armed Air Marshals, rather than having
my pocket picked to cover the cost of insurance to replace planes, and
pay out lawsuits.)
