In December 1972 we sent out Christmas greetings in the form of the traditional Christmas card. This ritual continued until 1979 when our greetings was a postcard that included a little write-up on what we had accomplished during the past year. In the following years our greetings were in the form of a poem, newsletter, or on a postcard that included a family photo.
We would always have to scratch our heads trying to think of interesting items to include in our yearly greetings, while at the same time we were receiving cards, letters, and photos from friends that we had met throughout the years.
We decided to try something different.....to wait until after Christmas when we'd received everyone's cards and letters, and to compile them into what became known as the Gardino Family and Friends "After Christmas Special".
The newsletter was an instant hit, because who doesn't like to see their name in print? In fact, we now have quite a few individuals and families who submit a special write-up on their adventures just so they can be included in our newsletter.
We would like to share our 1997 and 1998 newsletters with you. They are both in "pdf" format, which utilizes Adobe Acrobat Reader.
