Hmm, a long time has passed. Why? Because this site is pretty much complete. I really don't have to add anything else, so expect my updates to be less frequent.
I added the SotN Weenies section to the site. Now what does that entail, you ask? Over the years, I have gotten many a weird tip, question or outright bizzare e-mail that literally makes me laugh. I decided to dig up what I could find saved on my computer, and post them on the site for humor value.
I also updated the Players' Tips section, and took off a tip that was a RUMOR. I repeat, the play as Maria glitch is a RUMOR. I also added a new counter to the page, because when mucker-fothing Yahoo bought up Geocites almost a year ago, they screwed me out of a counter...right before I got 25,000 hits. I kept adding the new coding, and I still had yet to see the new counter. So the problem is hopefully fixed.
Ooo, lookie, an update after many many months. I can't update as much anymore, because life just gets in the way. College, work, and life. When I have free time to myself, I am NOT going to sit in front of a computer...and if I do, I'd rather role-play on it. :Ş But I fixed all what you called "broken links", which were in fact links to a server that did not exist anymore. It did in fact exist when I wrote the HTML. For future reference, a broken link will result in the message: 404 NOT FOUND. Anything else is a server or traffic problem...mm'kay?
Now for what I fixed. The Multimedia section has been fixed, to some degree. I took the soundtrack off, because I no longer have access to the WAVs. Sorry....but hopefully, I'll get the soundtrack in MP3 format. For now, you'll have to listen to the MIDIs, and the sounds that I have up there. Also, I added two new artists to the Artwork> section....Eric Roman and Charlie Troy. Both Eric and C.A.T. have made some sort of appearance on this site somehow before, so it's only fair that they get their own art sections. I also fixed a few things here and there on the site....but I didn't put up any Player's Tips. Why? Because I have so many! I think the next update will be completely dedicated to putting them up here. Oh, and I made no real note about it....but this site's second birthday has passed. And it's still getting hits. Amazing.
Hello everybody. I'm sorry if I haven't updated in a while....but there simply hasn't been too much to update. I mean, I could write players tips and post 'em....but I figure it's much easier to e-mail me and ask questions instead. All I did this update is add another award to the main page. I've been getting plenty of e-mails complaining about the WAVs not working when they try to DL them. I have news people: odds are they won't 50% of the time. My server, annie.cyberninja.com is going up and down and up and down....and I can't even seem to access it when it's supposed to be "up". So please don't IM or e-mail me and whine about things working: it's not my fault....and until I can either find a massive free server to move all these files to or pound the hell out of my friend's roomate so he'll fix cyberninja perminantly. Another note....please do not IM me anymore. I've been so swamped with IMs when I sign on to AOL....I can't even do what I want to do...and I usually have to "hide". That means not only do my friends not see me online, but it also means that I have to go through the damn preferences and fix them so I'm not bogged down. If you have to talk to me, e-mail my AOL account....but I repeat, . Once again, sorry about the whole ordeal....and take note, that I will not update very much anymore.
Good news, my friends! The server that most of my site is on now has a proper DNS entry! So now you can look at pics, listen to WAVs and MIDIs, and look at movies again! YAAAAY! Oh, and I also got an award, which is up on the main page. Thanks for the award, I appreciate it! I'll have a real update with new stuff soon enough, k? Thanks for being patient, people.
All right, this isn't an actual update. I'm writing this to inform all of you of a problem that has prevented me from updating. I've been wanting to update for well over a month now, but I can't do anything. The server that all of my MIDIs, WAVs and artwork is on, called "annie.cyberninja.com", is down. It's been up and down regularily for the past three months because.....well, it's been sick. Currently, it has no DNS entry, and no matter how many times I bug my friend's roomate to fix the server (it belongs to them, they give me space for free), he still doesn't do anything. So I know many of you have been bugging me to update, but frankly, I can't do anything. I can't even put up my revamped art site (my AOL one), because the server is down. And this is also why none of the links on my page work. No, I have no broken links. I double-check every link I put on this page, to make sure it works fine. You can't connect to anything because of the server. So you won't be able to look at anything or listen to anything for a while. I'll let you all know when things are up and running again. If you really have to listen or look at anything, you can E-mail me (preferably to my hotmail account) for any MIDIs, pics, or the smaller WAVs. Once again, I'm very sorry about this problem.
Heheheh.....if you thought I was happy in my last update...you should see me now! I'm estatic, because my page now has 10,000 hits! YAAAY! Actually, it got 10,000 hits about two weeks after its birthday, but I haven't been updating because I was working a lot. Blah. But if anybody has any belated 10,000 hits gifts (or very belated birthday gifts), send 'em my way. So far, I've gotten this one from my friend Charlie. Thanks CAT!
Alright, now for the actual updates. I added a new artist to the Artwork section, a very talented girl by the name of Jen Zee. She's been featured on RPGamer and other sites for her artwork, so I highly suggest you take a look. I also re-did the tableage on the art pages, so it looks a little nicer. Oh, and check out the Weirdness section...Charlie sent me a funny pic, and I just had to post it up there.
I STRONGLY urge you to bop on over to the Players Tips section, where I've added info on how to play as Maria Renard. That's right, MARIA. This is only doable in some versions of SotN, but it's still a damn cool thing to try.
Sadly, I've had to remove two webrings from my site. The Girl Gamers Webring is disbanding, and the CV Fan Art Webring simply doesn't seem to be working anymore. The CV Fan Art Webring partially still exists, but the ring's main website and image map have been deleted, so I'm assuming that it no longer is meant to exist. Galiata, if I'm wrong, E-mail me, and tell me what's up. I hate to take things off the site.
Lastly, a small shameless plug for myself: I've somehow managed to be Artist of the Week on RPGamer for my picture of Azala from Chrono Trigger. I'm somewhat proud of the pic, so please go over there and take a look. Oh, and by the way....thanks Lorelai! I appreciate it!
::Dances around happily::An update! An update! And my PAGE IS ONE YEAR OLD TODAY! WOO HOO! Click here to hear the peasants rejoice.
Okay, I'll be a little more serious now (heh). I could of updated much sooner, but I knew that my page's one year birthday was coming up, so I decided that I'd just wait and update everything then. And man, do I have a LOT! I updated the Artwork section with some new pics (mostly by me, and my favorite fan art ever by my friend Christine is up there too!), and comepletely re-vamped the section to make it easier to find the artist's art, and to cut down on thumbnail loading time.
I finally added the Player's Tips section, although the majority of the tips up there are by me. I really haven't gotten as many tips as I thought I would, so send 'em in to me. I also added the Links section, in case I'm boring you ALREADY, and you want to leave. Blah. :Ş
I even updated the Multimedia section, with several new MIDIs, and a whole set of sounds from the game that I made recently. Oh, and check out the Relics section. I now have the locations of all the relics on there, so instead of asking me "Where's the soul of bat?" over and over again, you can simply look it up yourself. Sweet.
I don't have any birthday pics yet, but if any of you artsy types want to draw any, I'll gladly put them up. Also, my counter is getting closer and closer to 10,000 hits. Nobody noticed when I got 5,000 hits (hey, I even didn't notice). Would somebody notice and make me something commemorating the day I hit 10,000? Thanks. Well, I'm going to go. I'm a veeeerry tired Annie, and I have to work tomorrow (blah). Hope to see you when this page turns 2!
Okay....so it isn't a real update.....school has been beating me to death, just as everybody has been beating me over the head with the fact that I haven't updated my page in months. Okay. I'm a bad girl. I learned my lesson. So I added ONE THING to show that I still care about this site. I got me a new ftp program, so now hopefully I won't have to log onto AOL in order to update. I dunno if you know about AOL, but generally when you sign on, people feel the need to talk to you RIGHT AWAY. So whenever I sign on to work, people start bugging me, and then things go awol. So....the only think I added was this link: "You Are Here". It's a silly little nonsense site that started out as a project for a computing class that I really don't need. Oh, and I should mention that RPGamer finally put up SotN. However, there's a buncha things they got wrong, so stick with my site (heh). Oh, and before you ask me any questions, please look around the site first. I don't want to have to answer something that you could easily find by looking on the boss walkthroughs or something like that.
Oh, I will mention what will be coming up here, slowly but surely. Besides Player's Tips and an entirely re-vamped Artwork section, there will be a Links page, a Fanfic page, a few more things under Multimedia, and a FAQ page. That is, once I can just get to work. ::makes a face::Okay, off I go to do actual work for school. See ya, and please don't kill me if I take even more time updating.
Sorry about not updating recently, but school as taken over my life, and I don't have too much time on hand anymore. I'm lucky I can even find the time to draw, let alone work on webpages. But anyway, I added one more webring, and I also added the Spells and Moves page, so that you won't have to E-mail me to find out how to pull off some spells. I also added the proper html at the bottom of each page so that you can navigate through the site without having to use the "back" button.
Finally! An update! WOO HOO! Well, I'm done with summer stuff, so I'm home more, and that means fun with webpages, people! After a gazillion years, I finally got all the artwork up that I said that I would put up. So now added are two new artists, Galiata Griffon, and a good friend of mine, Christine Houser, so hop over to take a look at their stuff! I even tinkered with the design, so now each individual artist has his or her own table for their art.
I also fixed the WAV links in the Multimedia section, so they all work peachy keen. So you can all go and DL any of those freely now. I might add some MIDIs or such from other CV games in the future (so some things from CV3 or Super CV4 might be up there soon).
I added a new page, called the Weirdness section, and it's about.....well, about weird things found in SotN. I don't have a whole helluva lot up there now, because I'm still seeking the utterly bizzare or the just plan stupid on this game, but you can pop on over there to take a look anyway.
Lastly, I made the page more navigable without annoying frames. That is, I put little linkie banner thingies at the bottom of each page, so you won't have to keep hitting the "back" button on your browser. Thanks for being patient with me....I know I've been bad about not updating. But I think the updates will come more often, now that I'm actually home.
Not too much this time.....I only added my Multimedia page, which features MIDIs, AVIs, and even WAVs. And I got an award too (woo hoo!). Oh, and just a warning: I may change the look of things, say.....maybe re-make a thumbnail or a banner, or even change a few typos. But I won't say so in an update, because it's really not worth mentioning. And to those people that sent me really great artwork: don't worry, it'll go up soon. Trust me. But right now, I gotta fly off to my summer place, where my friend's having his grad party in a few days. Ciao!
I added a few new peices of art by Rafael Jimenez, along with one by Mark Barrett, one by Wildfire Kataka, and one by Felina Cerveche. I also added a few more Konami pics that I found. Not only that, but I edited the commands on that page so that you'll know who drew what, so you can go to the Artwork section to check it out.
I also added a Invantory section, so now you can take a lookie-see at that if you're wondering what the "Holy Mail" is or something. I also made a Storyline page for those of you who like to read those......I even wrote the story all by myself, instead of copying what it says in the prologue of the game. ::is all proud::. I even put up a Relics section, so you can go there if you want to see a listing and pretty little pictures of the relics (along with my little comments on them).
Well, probably the first thing I should mention is I created this update page! Whee! And I also made my Enemy Drop Items page (that dern table took too long), and fixed that loose link on my page page, along with spiffying it up with the link banners at the bottom. I even changed the one file on my art page and replaced it with the same picture, minus the words that list it as being from "Darkhaugh's Den". Slowly but surely, this site is growing (we can only hope).
