Weenies

What is a "SotN Weenie", you ask? That's the official title I give people that IM me repeatedly about the game, send me odd e-mails, or ask stupid questions. Naturally not every tip, question or insight I get makes sense. Hell, some people seem insane. However, these strange messages about the game I get do at least give me a good laugh, so they're still worth something. I've managed to save some (not all sadly), and have compiled them on this page here. Many of these are copied and pasted right from the e-mails I got, so I haven't edited them (except remove the e-mail addresses and clean up some of the language). If your message is up here, no hard feelings, but you really did say some wierd things. :Þ

Two in one day??? YE GODS! Any idiot that has played the game knows that you simply can't get to the second castle without the Holy Glasses, and you can't get those without going down in the clock room! ::bangs head on desk::I wonder if this person is teaming up with that first guy to make my life interesting.....or at least stressing. I have a few ?'s about the game:

1. What does the librarycard do?

2. Where is the Relic that protects you while underwater?(I think it's called the Holy Sign)

3. Do you know where there is any break away walls? So far I have found about four.

4. I need to know some really good descriptions on the items and where they are located.

I am exploreing the castle right now and I have the
Fariy scroll
Leap Stone
the thing that unlocks the blue doors
soul of a wolf
cube of Zoe
merman statue
and alot of items and weapons.

If you have any tips, hints, or anything please include them with your e-mail.

Thankyou for takeing time to read this and anwser it.

Annie says:I like how he mentions he has "alot of items and weapons", not to mention the fact that he says that if I have any tips, to add them to my reply. And you know the sad part about this? I actually answered the majority of his questions (and corrected him about "Holy Sign" and "that thing that unlocks blue doors").

About the mysteries in the game : -Alucard can also ride a Gorgon (the "bull" which can transform him into a statue, found in the black marble gallery). (A friend of mine showed me that if you hit the woman on the top of the Diplocephalus by riding it, it goes backtrack (No, I don't think that it could obey you).

-Poor bat !!! : When I saw the Bat familiar, I felt tenderness for it. Why ? Because if you look closely, you can observe that it is a she-bat (A heart flies when Alucard transforms himself as a bat, and when he turns back to his normal form, the bat wonders ). And also, when the Bat gains more levels, other bats come by (groupies?), but only the original one remains : that's a real proof of fidelity... Remark : The Ghost Familiar is afraid of Alucard in his bat form (hmmm...)

-Do Dracula (in the 1st fight with Richter), Vandal Sword and Azaghal think that they are Santa Claus ? Stupid question, but the answer is more stupid : When they are hit, they scream "Ho-ho-ho" (What is SO funny ?)

-You can free the Dragon (the Dragon Rider's dragon) in the Reverse Entrance by killing the Flea Man. It will change color and help you destroying the enemies in this hallway.

Finally, you could read the great walkthrough from Zach Keene (found at http://www.gamefaqs.com or http://www.gamewinners.com ; I don't know him) and listen to the tracks of this so great game, the best in my opinion those times with the Xaplay and the cinematics with the Strplay which can be found at http://www.Zophar.net.

So continue like this (Sorry for the so long E-mail but that's the first time I write an E-mail, and I have never read the ones I have received). Truly yours,

Darkblade, the solitary one (I would so much be like Alucard...)

Annie says:Okay, at least he was a nice guy. I got several e-mails from him, and at one point asked him to stop sending me mails. But his broken english and tips that are already on the site really didn't make the grade (except for this section of the site). Sorry Darkblade, nothing personal.

Hello there, I have found your site most interesting. I guess one of the best things about being a web site operator is the surfer feedback, positive surfer feedback. Well I have to commend you, there is one piece in your site that is probably the only thing in SotN Alucard game-wise. That was the how to play as Maria info, thanks to that little tidbit, I now have another weapon to use/defend with against the people who play NitM/Dracula X, who consider us 2nd class barbarians. They often use the dig of oh-hahaha(snooty upper class english accent)you sorry chaps don't have the mahrr-velous version, my my, missing so much items, those two levels and oh howww could we ever possibly forget Maria's playability. Lucky for those chubby lil bottle-cap glassed freaks that a)I was not in visual range,b)I did not have my katana[I took Kendo since age 9, so I just mastered the 5 year course,c)I respect and obey the rules of this country,d)A lot of them were Trekkies omega-class(meaning these guys litterally bought the dolls and had Mr. Spock Collectors Plates and of course bothered to learn Klingon, come on, Klingon? True everyone loved Worf and his "It is a good day to die" thing and my personal favorite in his DS9 phrase "Don't worry Captain, at the first sign of betrayal I will kill him" and oops straying off subject)and trust me getting looked down upon by those freaks is degrading, almost as much as selling Amway products. Well I noticed that you didn't exactly know how to turn into th gargoyle, which is pointless might I add, but here it is:

1) It cannot be a "intentional" impact, by that I mean that you cannot charge the creature. You must be traveling in the general direction as the stoning creature. The creature cannot impact you on your topside.

2) You must jump in front of the creature; You must double jump from behind the creature into his front, the idea is that you dont land on him, but the creature moving forwards hits you(the I got it, I got it principle). You also need to have your double jump "wings"(your cape fluffs up when you double jump)deployed when the creature impacts you. The only practical/safe creature to use this on are the medusa heads, specifically the one's located in Olrox's Quarters(Not Deathwing's Lair).

3) Have fun just staying still invincible, plus it would be wise to not have your familiars out as in the rare event that they decide to attack the heads you are trying to get to turn you into a gargoyle or breaks you out of it.

Other important info stuff are:

The Mablung sword has the same effect as Shield rod(if I remeber correctly)

When you do the Librarian chair jump trick, make sure you are wearing the armor you would want to equip for the rest of the game as your primary armor since when you hit the librarian, you also get a armor power up that isn't visible. What it does is, whenever your wearing the armor you equipped when you popped the librarian in the air, anytime you get hit by an enemy, you don't flich, it only works when running or on the ground, not in the air. You still take damage, but it won't slow you down from taking the enemy/ies out of commission.

The ring of pales adds a hidden weapon bonus to whatever weapon you had equipped at the time when you buy it, so if you have a Damascus Sword(good beginner weapon)equipped when you buy the ring of pales, it'll add a hidden attack bonus that won't show for the ring effects since it's just for that type of sword, where it will actually be more powerful than a shotel. The shotel is a fine weapon with a cool attack, but it gets outdated too quickly :(.

Uhhhh......my favorite special weapon is the stopwatch/alarmclock since in the first castle all bosses are really affected, if not totally paralyzed, same thing in second castle. You can also kill 2 bosses who are deemed tough by some like child's play, the Dopplegangers, they may pack your'e weapons and spells, but they can't take the time freeze effect. So it's an easy kill just slash slash slash.

About Crissaegrim/issim: true I love the weapon, I higly urge all newbies to not use it unless they need it. Get it asap yes, but it is so cheap it'll rob you of all the experience and technique you should be learning on your first run. Use it when your'e done with the plot and are just item collecting. Plus it sucks out all the wonder of using the different weapons with special attacks.

Good way to slash twice as fast: right after you land from a jump, you can swing your sword twice in the space of normally one slash, so just keep on doing "hops" by tapping the jump button, and keep on slashing.

About Medusa fight: you should fight her first, she's the easiest, and for some reason, the Reverce Keep-->Anti-Chapel-->backtrack after getting twilight cloak-->ReverseClock Tower-->Reverse OuterWall--> Something Library(this will let you get the Badelaire early on for a easy quick max-up of the sword, and is the fastest way to get to the reverse Library to get a crack at the fist of Tulkas, and the Crissaegrim/issim and the Ring of Varda at the Giant Bone Guys( I can't spell, is it Paranthropus?) for a early boost. Saving you the long trip from a "safe" long way around, or the slash through Upside Down Marble Gallery which is suicide if you're weak(I try to blitz[only take long times at money runs for beginners package]through fast so I'm only level 35 when I fight Dracula). Then never try to level yourself up against anything but guardians. I went from 35 to 70 in one hour and 15 minutes(I did the moon rod crescent attack) and got both great sword and god's garb fast after level 63. I could still beat Dracula in 10 hours(9:43) so I was happy. This is my recommended first trek through the second castle. I had over 5 different accounts, I know what's the easy way.

Heaven sword combo attack: besides the fact you can pair this to a rune sword to make a cool forward sweep attack, if you equip two in one hand and press both buttons at one time, the two heaven swords will make an ultimate full screen attack(If I remember right)

Fluke: Why would they put the royal cloak and twilight cloak so close together?

Major Questions:
Why does Maria look like she's 7 when she's 12, and she looks 26 when she's 17?

Why does Dracula put things in his castle that can hurt him/help in hurting him--hearts,weapons,money?

Beginner's Package (only beat Slogra+Gaibon and DopplegangerLv.10 and I only went through entrance, alchemy laboratory, marble gallery, outer wall, and library, so this is a good package, and it's early game so you won't miss much)
(Get the money from the regenerating 50$ bag at bottom of outer wall) Damascus Sword(or get a Bekatowa from Sword Lord)
Iron Shield
Sunglasses or Leather Hat
Elven Cloak
Steel Plate(or if your'e real fast)-->Diamond Plate
I dont think you can buy ring of pales yet, but besides the weapon type
bonus, it isn't worth the price.

Go make me proud! ^_^ -"Kitty"

My inspiration to play CV SotN was that my cousin had it, and a vampire was the star, the ideal effeminate male vampire. I love Anne Rice's books and Lestat does resemble Alucard so my name was Lestat.

Sorry for the long email......if I remember anything more I'll email you again......feel free to use my tips and other info. on your site, you should start an mini alucard shrine and a bigger funny section.

I have over 500 hours game play on that as Alucard alone.

I haven't played all of 98 since some jerk broke the mem card where this game was on and my cd, I just bought the bestsellers 16.99 version at Target in 99 so I was okay. I was getting nostalgic, Imagine a 12 year-old reminiscing on the good ole days......Thosssssssse werrrrrre the dayyys. I say to my cousin"say Harvey(the one who got me hooked, I don't know whether to thank him or kill him for that)don't you use to remember the time I used to de-equip everything in the second castle and go bare knuckle against guardians?" And I'm gettin rusty again cause I lent it to a friend 2 months ago, the 27th of december was the 2nd anniversary when I got that version, the 4th of my original copy........sigh!

This was a previous email I sent to one of those NitM fans who were capping on us SotN fans, hope you enjoy seeing how ticked and disturbed I am( also during my SotN vacation, I picked up Starcraft and Brood War, so I rock there too, remember make an Alucard Shrine, AAAAluuuucard, AAAAluuuucard )hehehe I just love the 5k+ ticked off emails I send to people, I do it to everyone, HAHAHAHA. Another factor of how disturbed and angry I am is that I purposely lead perverted guys on in chatrooms for a few minutes/hours and in the end I say I'm a 55 year old FBI agent, HAHAHAHAHAHA ^_^(Well they deserve it and of course I discourage them from ever doing it again, so it's sort of a good citizen of the net thing, plus I love to see they're reactions, I don't know whether to die laughing or feel evil when they type things like "Oh my god, I got it all over the keyboard" and "AAAAAAAAAAHHHH, NOOOOOOO, It's a guy,", and "Must take shower, cold coooold shower". HAHAHAHAHAHA, oh boy, I'm the reason those poor 15 year olds will need to have therapy and counseling for their middle age years.

Look I know how much american translations have F****D UP(pardon mon francais) good games(like the customization/create a fighter mode on Rival Schools:UBF and countless other mutilated translated games-sigh) Also RPG's that have been cut. Why? Look how good those games were, I'm not racist or anything(even though those perverted, incest committing lil perverts took over my country in WWII and reeked hell, making a total mockery of Bushido)

Annie says:THIS IS NOT MY OPINION. IF YOU ARE JAPANESE AND WANT TO FLAME THIS GIRL I WILL SEND YOU HER E-MAIL. Now continue reading.

, that's besides the point. What I'm saying is that the american's don't control the US division, it's still the CEO's that have the final say, and they are from the generation that suffered extreme humiliation(come on, signing a surrender in your own capital?) still feel some sort of hatred and competition against americans. See they're strive for "efficiency" also over the Quality faction has really been annoying, true they make good products, but then they scrap all the good features to make it more economic and efficient, while cutting down on quality. The scrap 2 familiars/other weapons/Maria in a playable mode(AAAAAAARGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH), and from what I heard Dracula himself decision was motivated by the same save 10 cents on making a decent safe car decision made by Nissan in the early 90's. Plus even with it's shortcomings, I still like the American version a lot(even though the assholes[I really have to stop speaking french]took out the art section, It still had all the kickass tracks, It's not all bad, the gameplay is still the best there is(I rank SotN/NitM to be one of the best games ever made)because of the beautiful mix of RPG(the items and menu/plot/leveling up/customiztion) It's like the essence of Bushido Blade with a tint of Final Fantasy Tactics customization. Plus in a sense, the cut back wasn't really as bad(Nocturne in the Moonlight did sound good[title-wise]in Japanese, but is a bit awkward in English, so the change to the title Symphony of the Night was appropriate). Plus think about the Maria being kicked out of the US version, it probably isn't so bad, cause c'mon, your'e gonna go through both castles(rediscovering them I mean) for the third, the third time. Worst of all, her game play mimics that of Richter's, see the Alucard RPG vs. Richter's Pure Arcade was a good contrast, but this is just putting on too much of a repetivity factor on it, the only reason I would consider swirling an icepick into their craniums is that if Maria actually had different stages, err "castles" like for example, a surrounding town perhaps( I know they have two extral levels, oooh speciaaal, it still is an emulation of the PSX version, like in other CV games( my idea is actually is that there should have been more areas, like towns perhaps, and of course multiple entrances to the castle, and of course, best of all, an armory to customize/combine/make weapons, dammit I want a scythe! I want a scythe and of course sickles for my Alucard, he's sooooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuute, uuuuhhhhhhhh oops, cat's out of the bag now. No I dont look at any naughty pics, and most of the fan-art(no offense)sorta reeks(Why do some of the best ones resemble Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCrapio[Yes I meant the misspelling]). Back to the subject at hand, if there weren't different areas for Maria, wouldn't it become repetitive? The familiar and and weapons part I'm pissed off at cause the Alucard Lance, come on, Alucard with a hand held non use long range weapon? The twin heaven sword/heaven and rune sword is a good combo, and who can bitch about the crissaegrissim(did I spell that right?) but a long range, I was wondering why all the rods were midgety. Also just cause they took out a few items doesn't cause me to keel over and die, you can't take away it's gameplay dammit..........err condemn it into hell I mean. Look, I bought it when I saw my cousin rent that game back in 96/97 and I logged 500+ hours on it(I was inactive during 1998 cause someone broke the cd and to top it all off, someone erased my records...WAAAAAHH. So I was in a funk cause I lost it all. Then of course my nostalgia eventually came through(it's sorta scary for a 12 year old to have a thoooose werrrrre thhaaaa ddaaays experience)and I amazingly bought it for 16.99 as a bestseller, I was wondering was there others like me? I sought out most sites, but I also knew that they were abandoned 2-3 years ago, it brought back bittersweet feelings, like oh I knew that within the first 2 hours and hahahaha the fool didn't know how to organize his inventory, the only secret that I didn't know, but it wasn't like 99.99% of other SotN/NitM players knew about it before looking it up in the site. Its the holy chapel trick, I've always suspected it cause the outside looked scaleable, the elven cloak info. also made me suspicious, and it all clicked when I killed a one of those flying guards with the iron shields outside of a tower and the $50 bag fell into a ledge outside, I didn't really consider the enemies spawing outside part(medusa heads in outer wall). and please dont sneer at us SotN fans here ok? Look, we can't really afford to buy a Japanese Sega Saturn with the import since we have to be one of the following:
a very dedicated fan of Japanese Ports
willing to spend $300 for a single game
understand Hiragana and lingual Japanese
See our predicament? Hmm.....$160 dollars=PSX1, NitM, Memcard. It's not like were poor, but cmon, for the money your'e saving you'll get an extra controller(so they're both analog) and another memcard plus 2-4 more games, and you won't need to know a language where one symbol meant one syllable(at least it's more practical than chinese one character for every word thing which must be hell)so you won't need to know 5,000+ symbols(and the alphabet must take forever to write, it's more artistic than practical)to be able to speak as fluently as a 15-year old. Plus a vet doesn't exactly need the nic-nacs to be happy(I really want a 2 player vs. mode where you can fight another saved Alucard or Ricther(whoever posseses the stopwatch and uses it first might be the obvious winner, imagine how fun it'll be. One of the few downsides of the game(both versions)is that the shields aren't really as good as they should, they should be able to block the beams and swords, it's a shield isn't it? The music rules, best videogame music ever!

Even though I'm a girl I hate boy singing groups, DiCrapio, and B.S. (spears). MY favorites are( I feel most music past 1994 sucks, even modern punk and rock is shit(why must I speak french?), with the exception of Romstein, is too repetitive cause they always have the same beat, the same shitty(mon deu)tired beat, they are WANNABES(offspring): NIRVANA-Smells like Teen Spirit(DUH), Lithium(why Kurt, why,-sniff-) R.E.M.-This one goes out to the one I love, Losing my religion Devo-Whip it(and the red sand-bucket hats) Weird Al Yankovic-Harvey The Wonder Hamster, Amish Paradise

The Simpsons-Transformers(original)-Robotech

P.S. Sorry for the long email, and email me back for a response and of course to reminisce about the times in SotN for me and NitM for you.

Annie says:This was really the point where this girl scared me. She sent me one more e-mail (which I lost), and I told her not to mail me again. I'm sorry, but I just can't deal with people that are fudged up in the cranium.

Frank lay off the multiple punctuation for chrissake! The last thing I can stand is a bunch of question marks staring at me from an e-mail. It makes my eyeballs hurt.
Anyway there are two places where you can get the Ring of Arcana. The first place is doing the "bopping the librarian" thing. That is super-jumping repeatedly into his chair (refer to the walkthrough I sent). The second place is in the Inverted Castle, in the Reverse Alchamy Laboratory. It's in the small room to the lower left off of the boss room where you fight Beezlebub, in a small glass orb (meaning you must smash the orb). For reference, it's the same spot where you would get the bat card in the normal castle. I have no idea where you think the Ring of Arcana is, seeing that both places where you get it has no enemies whatsoever.

Hi Annie,
Finally getting serious ! (Er...not at all).

It's me again. Last time, I have made a little mistake : Why would you make a desktop theme which takes too much space and time to download ? So I think that you should replace the BMP wallpaper by JPG ones.

I also send you two files, the WVLEFT and the WVLOGO (they correspond to the images which appear respectively on the left of the folder's window and replacing the small blue clouds, and the one which shows up when you enter in the "windows" or "system" folders, and can be used as classical images) . To put them into action, just replace the old ones in the "windows" then "web" folders. I have also inclosed a great image of Dracula's castle (guess how...) and I still have some more images. If you can, create LOGO.SYS, LOGOW.SYS and LOGOS.SYS, they are start and shutdown screens. You still need to create event sounds, animated mouse cursors, icons and maybe a screen saver , so good luck ! If I can help you, just tell me...but I'm not that great.

Finally, do you customize your folder by using a wallpaper ?

That's all for today's technical lesson. Now for some more usual thingies :

-The Yatsutsuna is one of my favorite weapons in the game. Just push repeatedly on the weapon button and it has a quick-and-span destructive effect, even when you move while attacking, like the Crisseagrim. Often denied because it is a 2-hands weapon, it is still great. Why so much injustice ?

-Did you know why Beezelbub is also known as the Devil ? Because when you die, your body enters in putrefaction and it is sign of death (sorry, if you are eatin').

-A special way to kill Guardians with an honourable level and get items with the Alucart's equipment (you can still wait a long time !). Otherwise, transform into Bat and fly close to the ceiling !) :

1) Use the Gas Cloud form. Long, big MP cost and really low damage, but you can't be hurt.

2) Soul Steal. Classical but near range could be fatal (you have to equip the Ruby circlet, but...).

3) Power of Sire. More spectacular. Use it when you have the Duplicator (finally getting it !), but ONCE ; if you are lucky , he won't die. Then reequip the Ring of Arcana, Ring of Varda or the Moonstone to have more chances to get rare items (and put away that Power of Sire, or you will be really sorry), then finish him (I have already heard this somewhere...).

-Merman the rapper (2) :

You wondered why the Merman grunts like Alucard ? Here is a simple explanation : When it shakes its head and shout "Uhh !" and then spins, doesn't it look like a Michael Jackson's pose ? (in the "Moonwalker" movie). It couldn't shout "Aaoooohhh !!!" like MJ's so it has been given the now famous "Uhh !". Anyway, would it be serious to make Alucard, the most noble half-vampire around, shout "Aaooohhh !!!" ? No, except if it was a parody of MJ, and this game is not called Parodius, so...

-The familiars' voices :

To hear them, just stop moving for a while and press start, then change your familiar (can be used in conjunction with the "sleeping Alucard's tip" : "No, I don't care, just let me sleep..."

The ones who (?) have surprised me are the Sword, sayin' : "I won't let you get in my way !" (Hey, he's your master, stupid !) and the Faerie who rests on Alucard's elbow when he really doesn't move, drops with the smallest movement and says "I'll follow you anywhere !" (even where I think she'd better not go, guess what spot it is...).

OK ! Still here ? Good. There are some questions for you :

1) Will you use WAV sounds for your desktop ? (That would be better for us)

2)What is a DL ? Why don't you use MP3 ?

3)Could you erase the useless words in brackets that I have written in my previous E-mails ? (it was just between you and me) Just in case you would post my ideas, and I don't want to be looked like the mad scientist in my address (But am I MAD ???)

4)Why is the Tyrfing so much useless ? (I know that when you get the heart of Vlad, you can use it, but it still has a weak attack level). Could it be some way to transform it into a powerful sword ?

5)Did you notice the link between the Sunglasses and an old advertisement for Ray-Ban ? ("Did someone forget his Ray-Ban ? Haaahaahaa !!!") Maybe there's none.

6) Can I be your E-friend ? (Just jokin'. Don't answer to this one if you don't want to)

Here, it is finished. Phew !!!

If you have new stuff, new site adress, or something like that, let me know ! ("I'll follow you anywhere !" Hummm...sorry) Oh, I almost forgot : could you send me a copy of the font you use on your site ? (The one that you use for HTML links such as "Story", "Bosses", "Dropped Items", etc...)

So, farewell...for now !

Darkblade the wind-rider.

Annie says:This is one of the e-mails you finish reading and all you can say is "huh?". If you want the desktop theme he partially made, ask me.

Hi Annie,

Damn ! Curses ! I can't be anonymous with that (...) E-mail address ! That's why you weren't surprised when I told you my real name, and I'm only realizing it those times ! Whaaaah ! Does it also reveal where I live ???

I feel better, but I only have a few stinky oddities this time. Here we go :

- Long time no see, old timer !

Here's a special way to talk to the Librarian. Do the hellfire spell and go next to him. You'll throw fire and that soulless one (you can't even soul steal him !) will talk as usual...

- A Jewel Sword and the two dummies :

1) Do the Jewel Sword's 1$ special move near that '`\^^@\`-('èè_!~ Librarian. The coins drop off the sword but he doesn't even blink. (Gee, either he wants Al to bring it to him or I thought he was living for money) Anyway, he shall disappear with the castle and I hope that he's got a good insurance ! Hahaha !

2) The second one is the Ferryman. As you know, Alucard rides the boat (Could he do somethin' else ?), but throw any object and it goes through it (?!) (Oh man, I wanted to give you a tip for your services, but since you don't want it...)

- Non-stop "WHAT?!?"

Use alternatively the Mushroom and the Antivenom or go hug that Ectoplasm.

- Some more questions :

1) Why do Richter saves in a coffin ? Is he ready for his last day on Earth or is it the lazy Konami feeling ?

2) I got the Axe Lord Armor and Shield, but the second one don't appear when I wear the Armor. Lazy Konami ?

- No, Al doesn't say "No, I don't care, let me sleep" but he could have. He's the hero and son of Dracula anyway !

Answers from the last E-mail :

- So you don't seem to possess Windows 98 ? That's why you couldn't understand me. Windows 98 is not that different to the '95 and it's still full of bugs. You already know it, right ?

- No, I can't help you for the mouse cursors : I don't have the program for it (If you know, tell me where I can find it). The only things I'm able to do is to capture sounds and images that are on the CSOTN PSX CD and give some ridiculous advice.

- Beware : in your Relics section, you used the same text for the Form of Mist and the Wolf Charge.

- I got an idea to get that mysterious fifth ending (The one with a Maria turning into a monster) : Complete the first castle entirely without beating the Succubus and killing Richter. I'm too lazy to do it, so...

See, I dried up much faster than you. Need some holidays (I'll come to your country this summer, in Houston,Texas, to learn some biology laboratory lessons. I don't want to dissect ! Noooo !).

OK, maybe next time, will I find somethin' really outstanding. Goodbye.

Darkblade, as invisible as a guy who wears light bulbs in a dark room. (sigh...).

Annie says:@_@ Not as long as previous e-mails, but it still makes my head spin.

Hi Annie,

A strange phenomena occured last time. When I recieved your last answer, I saw that there were only a part of my message. Strange...So I'll send it to you again and I'll add some changes. If you noticed it too, just compare (the long lines are the new parts) ! Hey, don't read it once, or you will be frustrated again. Sorry...

Damn ! Curses ! I can't be anonymous with that (...) E-mail address ! That's why you weren't surprised when I told you my real name, and I'm only realizing it those times ! Whaaaah ! Does it also reveal where I live ??? (I'm a somewhat Chinese guy (a story of ancestors, but who cares ?) who lives in France ; I'll tell you frankly that frenchies have an awful english ; but I love it since I was a kid, then I have an OK one, but since it's not the great one...still making some stupid mistakes, Nah !)

I feel better, but I only have a few stinky oddities this time. Here we go (humph !):

- Long time no see, old timer !

Here's a special way to talk to the Librarian. Do the hellfire spell and go next to him. You'll throw fire and that soulless one (you can't even soul steal him !) will talk as usual...

- A Jewel Sword and the two dummies :

1) Do the "Jewel Sword's 1$ special move" near that -_- !!! "Master" (censored !) Librarian (I loathe this "old n' crumbling money demon", and you ?).

The coins drop off the sword but he doesn't even blink. (Gee, either he wants Al to bring it to him or I'm wrong thinking he was only living for money !)

Anyway, he shall disappear with the castle and I hope that he's got a good insurance ! Hahaha !

2) The second one is the Ferryman. As you know, Alucard rides his boat (Could he do somethin' else ?), but throw any thingie you got and it goes through it (?!) (Oh man, I wanted to give you a tip for your services, but since you don't want it...)

- Non-stop "WHAT?!?"

Use alternatively the Mushroom and the Antivenom or go hug that nice but spooky (...) Ectoplasm.

-The Medusa Shield is the only (?) offensive weapon (and it gives its special properties to the Alucard Shield). Really effective on low level monsters, but I don't know if you must first reveal its power with the Shield Rod.

- I got the Axe Lord Armor and Shield, but the second one don't appear when I wear the Armor. I don't really care, but it could have been more logical. Alucard cannot be cursed when he wears the Axe Armor. Did you noticed some more non-changing status by this way ?

- Why do Richter saves in a coffin ? Is he ready for his last day on Earth or is it the lazy Konami feeling ?

- No, Al doesn't say "No, I don't care, let me sleep" but he could have. He's the hero and son of Dracula anyway !

- Last time, I wrote somethin' awful : In fact, I wanted to say that : For the 5th ending, you must visit all of the rooms, except for the Nightmare and the Center clock room. Why ? Listen :

1) Just after the "deadly spiked room", Maria leaves the Silver Ring after having heard that Richter turned to evil and she doesn't accept it.

2) In one of the CD's tracks you hear Maria say : "No ! Please hurt Richter no more !" : You must fight him without the Holy Glasses, since the Succubus is alive.

3) Then : "What power in such a little girl !" : this is the Succubus' voice.

4) At the end, Alucard is sorry that he killed Maria and Richter. You won't access the second castle, then.

OK ? I think that you must have the Silver Ring, avoid the Nightmare and also the Giant Clock room to get this ending. Is it still possible ? I'm sure of it, but I don't have the right time for it. Sorry for the misunderstanding. All right ? Will you forgive me ? YEAH ?

I'm already waiting your answer.

Darksomethin' (GET TIRED OF THIS USELESS NICKNAME !!!)

Hi Annie,

(I apologize, because I already know your secret : you are named [CENSORED], right ?

How ? You have already disclosed it in an ancient E-mail, the 2nd to be exact (say, you DIDN'T throw away my E-mails ???) , but I like you that way, OK ? (I have also made a mistake by using a useless nickname, I understand, sigh...). Read the following, then.

I found some new and wonderful new tips (I have been too much expressive sometimes...) by looking for getting that 5th ending (+_+) !

- The Underground Caverns mystery (works only if you didn't go there before):

Go to the spot where the 4 Spear Guards are, waiting to finish you on their javelins. Push the box only a lil' bit to the left to go up (don't push it to the edge !), then go near those dummies and soul steal them. Advance until you don't see the spot anymore and go backwards : they'll return back to life (repeat it and soul steal them at wish or use a bomb, but hey, why would you spoil items like this ?)...

- Game hyper slowing down's trick (only tested on Bleem! 1.5B, full screen mode) :

Just soul steal the Puppet Sword in the Royal Chapel. It will not only be effective, but it will so much slow down the game that you will scream !

(About bugs : I recommend you to have a copy of Norton Systemworks 2000, legal or not, but I warn you that Norton Crashguard ISN'T a reliable program, (°-°), trust me ! )

- What is that outstanding power ? (only tested on Bleem! 1.5B, once again)

Nothing special in fact : Get prepared for your 1st meeting with the Librarian : Go to his room, but at the time you enter, IMMEDIATELY get out. You will be irresistibly attracted back (See, I told you that he was a DEMON !!! He won't turn into a monster, (alas, poor Maria !) but it could have been absolutely neat : "You ! I prefer defending the Master !" . Aaaahhh...dreams !

- Riddles (answers next time) : Who is the monster who screams and gives an ice cream when he/she dies ?

What does anaxe does on an armored enemy such as Axe Knights ?

- Try to knock the inside of a giant bell by super jump. Does it produce sound ? Yup.

- Super jump from the room just below the elevator : it opens up. Technology is soooo grrrrreat !

- Turn into Axearmor before any dialogue. Alucard will grunt as the same time as he normally talks. Funny, isn't it ? (Try my challenge : Beat Richter in this form. I succeded, but I suffered greatly and I thought it was game over for me : 68 HP remaining, I think, since he uses powerful combos. You can do it, don't prove it to me, anyway, it's special !)

Stay tuned for more tips. I feel great, and it will be soon the end of the exams. Yipeeee !

Dave, the only 20 years old 5th ending discoverer ? Maybe, when dreams can come true...

Annie says:DARKBLADE, NOOO! He knows my deep dark secret! My real name is...well, I'm not going to tell you. But call me Annie or I'll rip your lungs out. But anyway, HA! I know Darkblade is named DAVE! So now I shall have my revenge! MUAHAHA--okay, I'm done.
