Skyline: A blimp flies over the skyline.

Plot: Frederick is having his Bar Mitzvah very shortly and Lilith is feeling sad that her son is growing up. Frasier and the family are of course going to the event and even though Frasier is not Jewish, Frederick has asked him to give a blessing. Frasier decides to say it in Hebrew, and Noel Shempsky offers to teach him Hebrew on the condition that Frasier get Scott Bakula's autograph for him at a convention. Noel himself cannot go due to William Shatner's restraining order against him. :-)

Frasier goes to an arts show with Niles and as such is late for the convention, meaning he doesn't get the autograph. Noel is crushed and after Frasier suggests Noel "grow up", Noel decides to get his revenge by teaching Frasier the blessing in Klingon!

When the Cranes go to Boston, Roz, looking after Eddie, comes into work and sees Noel. Noel has been given a present by Frasier - the wig worn by Joan Collins when she appeared in a Star Trek episode as an apology for not getting the autograph. Noel feels really guilty and tries to get in touch with Frasier to warn him.....

Meanwhile Daphne finds out about the time Niles slept with Lilith, Martin finds an old camera that has a very strong flash and Lilith embarrasses Frederick at the Bar Mitzvah - but who embarrasses him more, Frasier or Lilith?

Subtitles: Star Mitzvah.

Roz loves..... the guy who used to refer to his "bits" his "little bald candy man."

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Lilith and Frederick made a reappearance in what is only their 3rd appearance together (and the first that is not set at Thanksgiving!). Lilith remembers giving birth to Frederick, and has the hospital cap he wore when he was an hour old. Frasier also remembers the baby Frederick, and there are also various memories of Frederick when he was a small child mentioned in this episode, including the time he first said "Dada" to Frasier at a Fritzenheim show. There's also a mention of a Thanksgiving where Martin used his camera, and Lilith's skin was so white it didn't show up on film! This may have taken place in Boston.

Trivia: Frederick is 13 in this episode - but he was already 13 back in Season 8 (Ep 174 "Cranes Unplugged")! Ahh, but this time he was really 13. He was born in November 1989 in Cheers, then on Frasier he was a year older than he should have been for a while. The writers have now corrected this and he is now the "correct" age again. :-) We also learn that Frederick's middle name is Gaylord! There are a few references to the events of Ep 110 "Room Service" when Niles slept with Lilith. Daphne also calls Frasier by his first name as well, a milestone for the series. Roz is looking after Eddie whilst everyone else is in Boston, and she brings him to work. William Shatner's restraining order against Noel was first mentioned in Ep 132 "The Show Where Woody Shows Up". And Stephon Fuller also played KACL employee Jason in Ep 191 "Love Stinks".
