The Mowbrays |
Owners of Caludon Castle |
After many years in the hands of the De Segrave family Caludon Castle came into the ownership of the (De) Mowbrays. Elizabeth Segrave daughter of John De Segrave was the last of the De Segrave line and when she married Lord John De Mowbray took the titles Segrave, Caludon and others with her. After some research it could be the marriage of Blanche De Mowbray to John De Segrave of Folkestone that transferred Caludon to the Mowbrays the dates and names given for owners of Caludon are correct, the people might not be |
