Aragorn
			Aragorn is the heir of Isildur, and future king of Gondor.  He is also a ranger and has chosen exile.   He is first seen when he meets the hobbit's in Bree and he talks to Frodo about the importance of the ring. At that point, he is know as 'Strider'.  Later on, at the council of Elrond, he is revealed to be Isildur's heir, and is the rightful owner of the ring by Isildur's account. However the ring cannot be truly owned by anyone except it's master, so Aragorn departs with Frodo on his quest to destroy the ring, and pledges his blade in Frodo's service. He is an expert with a sword, and is able to protect himself and groups of people in the wilderness. When Frodo and Sam depart to Mordor, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli start out to rescue Merry and Pippin from the hands of the orcs. Aragorn brings many skills the Fellowship requires in a quest as perilous as this.  Aragorn is also know as: Elessar, Estel, Elfstone, Heir of Gondor, Isildur's Heir, Strider, Elf-Friend, etc... He has the love of the Lady Arwen, daughter of Elrond, and is to wed her as she gives up her immortality for him. Back
