18.  ROBERT JOHN7 WEISERT (WILLIAM JACOB6, GUSTAV ADOLPH5, CAROLINE RUDOLPINA LOUISE4, FRIEDRICH WILHELM3, CHRISTIAN RUDOLPH2, JAKOB MELCHIOR1) was born April 09, 1927 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and died September 04, 1996 in Bristol, Scott County, Virginia.  He married (1) BARBARA JANE POOR 1953 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, daughter of CLARENCE POOR and BARBARA TAYLOR.  She was born January 05, 1928 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and died June 21, 1987 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.  He married (2) ELAINE BALCAM December 1969 in Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.  She was born February 26, 1935 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
Notes for ROBERT JOHN WEISERT:
During World War II, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  For four years he was stationed in New York, Rhode Island, California, and the South Pacific.  He was a Specialist in the field of demolition and brought home the Asiatic and Pacific Victory medal, good conduct medal and sharp shooter medal.  The fourth year was spent on an aircraft carrier until his honorable discharge in 1949.

Bob worked for Tap-Co, in Cleveland, Ohio, for about fifteen to eighteen years.  He was than employed with Fisher Body, for seven years, in the Maintenance Department, repairing and adjusting machinery.  In 1983 Bob moved to Boca Raton, Florida, where he worked for Westinghouse, later known as ABB, until he retired February 26, 1992.  In November 1995, he moved to Virginia to live with his sister June and brother in law Ralph, after suffering from a stroke.

Bob died in Bristol, Virginia, from complications of a Heart attack, Cardiac arrest, and Stroke. He was cremated, on September 07, 1996 in Gate City, Scott Co., Virginia; his ashes were taken back to Ohio by his son Bobby.

Written by their son Robert Dale, Robert John Weisert and Barbara Jane Poor.  Dad and Mom were divorced approximately in 1969.

Barbara was a full time Mother and worked full time after the divorce. Barbara passed away June 1988 from kidney cancer at Huron Road Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio and was buried in Mentor Cemetery.
