| Notes for VIRGINIA ROSE WEISERT: Virginia, a divorced and dedicated mother of three, worked very hard to raise her children alone and without the benefit of child support, sometimes working as many as three jobs at a time. She worked for the Shore Club with her mother and also for Smith's Restaurant in Euclid, Ohio as a waitress, for nearly 15 years, where her mother also worked for a time in the salad area. She moved to California in 1965 to be with her daughter and granddaughter. Her sons also moved to California. After a major earthquake in California the family moved to Texas to join her oldest son, Charles, who moved first. From 1971, the entire family would make Texas their home. She enjoyed helping her children, spoiling her grand children, sewing, number painting, puzzles, her toy poodle and margaritas. About 1980, Virginia was diagnosed with Lou Gerrigs Disease (ALS). She was very brave but the disease took its toll, she died in Tomball, Texas on July 2, 1988, just two weeks after she went to live in a Nursing Home. | Notes for CHARLES ANDREW BERRY, SR.: Not much is known about Charles, we do know he was an excellent auto mechanic. He was very strong as he could lift a motor right out of the engine compartment of a car with his bare hands. He never served in the armed forces. His wife, Virginia "Rose", divorced him in 1949, and he visited his children only a few times over the few years before he died in 1954. When he did pick up his kids for a visit he would sometimes take them to his mother's house where he lived and sit on the park bench in the driveway, and the children would watch him feed the squires out of his hand. He also took his kids to Vy Wyatt's bar, a favorite hangout, where many of the customers would give the kids quarters, half dollars and silver dollars. When they left Vy Wyatt's place the children felt very rich. He was Virginia's only true love, she never remarried. Charles died of a heart attack at the age of 42. He was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio Section 17, Lot 2207, Grave 1. on November 01, 1954 Cleveland Press, October 30, 1954, Obit Berry, Charles A., father of Noreen, Robert, and Charles; brother of William, Catherine, Martin, Edward, Robert, Anna and James, son of Catherine and the late Martin.
