15.  FRANCES VIVIAN7 WEISERT (WILLIAM JACOB6, GUSTAV ADOLPH5, CAROLINE RUDOLPINA LOUISE4, FRIEDRICH WILHELM3, CHRISTIAN RUDOLPH2, JAKOB MELCHIOR1) was born January 10, 1919 in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California.  She married FREDRICK HENRY WARD, SR. October 30, 1937 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, son of JOHN WARD and GRACE POUND.  He was born October 10, 1917 in Lakewood, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and died November 26, 1988 in Ravenna, Portage County, Ohio.
Notes for FRANCES VIVIAN WEISERT:
Until 1994, Frances lived in the Cleveland, Ohio area where she raised her children, and was part-time mom to many nieces and nephews, she then moved to Florida to be with her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Matt, and her grandchildren.

Fran has 12 grand kids and 13 great-grand kids.  She sees them all once in a while, but not to often.  She says they are all good kids.

During her life, Fran has had a few jobs while Fred was in service.  One job was at the Chevy Plant in Brookpark, Ohio.

Every once in a while she let Pat & Spike go up to New York to stay with their other grandmother for a while in the summer.  She did not really like it, but what could she do?  "She wanted them up there and she had her way.  Just like they had to name Spike and he hates that name.  He goes by the name of Bill,” says Fran.

Fran believes there is nothing special about her, but there would be many, many relatives that would disagree with that.  Carol and June both tell of how much Fran helped her with their small children, and how much the children enjoyed going to Aunt Fran's because she was so nice and always had something special for them and anything they wanted was OK. Sister Carol named Leila after her. Leila Francis, and Carol said, "that is how special she was back then, and she still is. She was a wonderful big sister.  I was a young, a teenager, and I could always talk to her about anything."   Her younger sisters always felt that they could talk to Fran, she was a good listener and always managed to help them with their problems. June remembers the help she gave her after she had Debbie. June stayed with Fran for about a month and she would come into the bedroom very quietly, get Debbie in the middle of the night and feed her so June could get some sleep. June said, "She really was so good with everyone's children."  George said, "Fran made the very best fudge in the world.", leave it to a man to think about his stomach.  Niece Noreen named her first daughter after Fran and her sister Rose, Vyvyan Rose, just spelled a little different.

She fondly remembers the fun everyone had when the family camped, fished and picnicked at Vermillion on the Lake on weekends and in the summer. Fran said, "That was kind of nice.  We all liked that."  I wonder if she remembers when someone put a frog in the car with her when she was sleeping?

Fran and Fred belonged to the Lions Club where she cooked their dinner twice a month with a couple of the ladies and cleaned up afterwards. Then they got into having bingo every Friday night and Fran did the "calling".  It was really nice and she got to meet a lot of nice people. Did that for a few years (this writer heard it was 18 years).  She did a little of everything; cooked in the kitchen, served cake and cookies, hot dogs, sloppy joes, coffee, pop and things like that.  She managed to keep herself very busy while Fred was out on the road.  Her lady friend came to her house and picked her up all the time and then brought her home afterwards, which was nice.  It's been said that Fran did learn how to drive but didn't like it at all.

After Fred past away in Nov. of '88, Fran's lady friend, Ruth, who worked at the hospital, told her they needed someone in the kitchen, and asked her if she would like the job.  Fran could ride back and forth with her. So she got Fran the job and it got her back out into the world and with people and, of course, she was cooking again, which she really enjoyed. She was there for almost 5 years but she lived all alone.  Then Pat and Matt got after her to move down to Florida and live with them and she agreed.  That was in '94, and she is still there.  Fran said "So here I am.  With not to much to do, just a few things."
