| More of the north end of the Ramparts and the lake enroute to Maccarib Campsite. |
| Had a nice day at Clitheroe. Did have that shower. It was great. Now I'm heading up the valley past Amethyst Campsite to the north end of the valley and then East toward Maccarib Campsite at the head of Maccarib Pass. The cloud over the north end of the valley is beautiful. |

| Stayed at Maccarib. Some rain but I managed to pack up dry stuff. When I left I took a wrong turn up a steep trail of switchbacks and ended up at this marvellous spot overlooking the north end of the Tonquin Valley. Nice side trip but I would have preferred to do it without my full pack! |
