It's one of those places where you just cannot resist getting right out near the edge and Michelle does just that making me nervous, of course. There are no guardrails like there are at Glacier Point and no people either. But the views are at least as incredible.

Desperately trying to capture the beauty of the surroundings and the views of the Yosemite Valley below.

Still snow in mid May and I feel the need to record it on film.  This is on the way out to the main road.

On my second trek I decided to return to Little Yosemite Valley campground and do some day hiking from there. I left my car in the free parking lot for back country packers and stayed in the back country campground in the valley before leaving.  Yosemite is really good to minimum use types like back packers. The John Muir Trail goes up past Vernal Falls and on to Nevada Falls.  It is very popular and provides nice views of the falls on the way up.  The trail down from Glacier Point allows more solitude but less spectacular views.
