| Our God Concept |
| Before there was any created universe, there existed only a Being of Unmanifest nature, without form as we know it, and this Being we call God. This Unmanifest Being cannot be described as either male or female, but is the Source of all female aspects and all male aspects, both human and non-human. God created the universe out of Love, It loves each of us so much that It wants us to have pleasure and fun in Its universe, and has therefore created dimensions of delight in every reality, and has designed all the things that we have to do in order to stay in this physical reality, such as breathing, sleeping, moving and eating, to give us pleasure. God existed before the universe was created, and in that time there was nothing to see, for God does not have any shape, colour or form. In that time there was no energy, and God Itself is not just an energy, as some people think, because energy is part of creation and did not exist before the universe was created. God is a Being, with all the recognisable qualities of being, such as love, volition, desire, intent, goodness, wisdom, joy, creativity, and power. God has Aspects too numerous to count, however there are two Aspects of God which we especially emphasise: 1) God loves each person most dearly, and in Its magnificence is easily able to pay full loving attention to each person every single minute, twenty four hours a day. God cherishes each person, and upholds them in honour. God supports each person, and gives them all the blessings they are able and willing to receive. God understands each person completely. God loves each person so much and understands them so completely that God is never angry with anyone for anything they do. When people do things that are harmful to themselves and others, God’s desire is to heal everyone involved, and never to punish them. We encourage people to pay attention to, and enjoy, their relationship with God. 2) When God created the Universe, It created everything out of Its own Essence, usually called Spirit, because there was nothing else available for It to create with. This means that every atom is God-being-that atom, every planet is God-being-that planet, every tree is God-being-that tree, every bird is God-being-that bird, every animal is God-being-that animal, I am God-being-me, and you are God-being-you. Each person is a divine being in their basic nature, a ‘child of God’, and therefore all the qualities which are in God, such as love, volition, desire, intent, goodness, wisdom, joy, creativity, and power, are in them. We encourage people to recognise and act on their own divine nature. |
