Hi
A year's gone by again and it seems like not much has happened. We're still here in Dubai and hope to stay a few more years. Like most of you, it seems that once you start travelling the world, you find yourself moving way too often.
I would be surprised if the financial crisis is not mentioned in some way by all who write. We've been relatively isolated from the world's problems until recently here in Dubai. Now that the oil prices have crashed, it's starting to affect this area also. Regardless, we feel blessed to have been stationed here where the situation is not so serious.
I've picked up my saxophone again for the first time in nearly 15 years. My two older boys (Janne and Markus) and I were asked to play with a band for a presentation this Christmas. I've thoroughly enjoyed it and realized how much I missed playing with a band. This time is special as I get to play with my boys. They are getting to be pretty good! Hoping to do this more often.
The years fly by. It's incredible but we just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. Our boys are already 11, 14 and 16 years old! Even more incredibly: it's 26 years since we graduated!
Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
