[manga] - story - Freshman Echizen Ryoma has just arrived in Japan, after having stayed in the US for several years. A tennis genius, he has just won the all-American Junior championship and is now going to Seigaku Jr. High. Seigaku has the reputation of having one of the best tennis teams in the country. To everyone's astonishment, Ryoma is quick to become part of the Regular members, having. Soon, the team takes part of upcoming tounaments in hopes of entering the Nationals ... - thinks - I wasn't impressed by the first 5 episodes, and Ryoma was too cocky for me to like him (although he does have a good side to him and can be quite chibi at times ^.^) despite Celes' influence. I picked up much much later and this time, I was completely hooked by it. THe characters are interesting, funny and attaching. The plot is somewhat typically, aiming for the National Championships, but the way the story is told, the matches, the characters and their spirit has a remarkable way of pulling you inside. Even better, the author has a good sense of humour, and some episodes constituting "breaks" from matches will make you roar over with laughter. *espacially* if it concerns Inui's infamous "Penla Tea".

Good news is, today was a much better day. I received the long awaited Hone no Saki artbook by Hiroyuki Asada (the author of I'LL), as well as vol.09 and 10 of I'll and a few Shaman King mangas! Arigatou Ce-chan!!! Best part of all was that I received a *gasp* shitajiki of Eiji ... the same one as the pic I used as my current blog layout! Kakkoi!! Eiji-kun! *grins*

My cousin should neverhave brought me to this anime store on sunday. Imagine being able to see (or order) DVDs of almost any kind of anime possible (Except StS Hades - though there *was* StS) but not being able to buy! (HxH waaahh!!), oh the torture, the torture! ;_;
Eve what a cute Leolio layout! (and it's blue!). Though not as bishounen as the other characters, Leolio *has* charm and should be more appreciated imho ^^;;

The entertainment page today had a big photo of the F4 taken from their last night concert. Can't blame them, afterall, even Singapore is infected with this latest hype ^^;; (is it just me or do I think camping one week b4 the day of the concert to get the best places is a bit err ... extravagant? ^^;;).
In any case, seems that in the old continuation of an old tradition (which I wasn't even aware of), one lucky fan had the priviledge of singing, hugging and kissing Jerry (... only to get thrown neon sticks later by angry fans *snorts*).
As I said before, nothing beats the coolness of anime guys XD (Lia -> who is more infected by the PoT rather then the F4 craze ;p)

I found a good promising english PoT website yesterday. Hope they'll update more soon, I'd love to see the biodatas of the other teams, especially of Hyotei. Are they in the PoT character book? Ce-chan has it and I'd love to get my hands on it, even if it's in Japanese and I can't make a hoot out of it ^^;;
Ce-chan promised me the recipes for Inui's Penal Tea *grins* they're also on his song at any rate. If I remember well, I was thoroughly amused seeing the rooms of each member of the team too. PoT's character books must be one of the thickest and most complete manga charac. book I've seen so far ^^;; Dang it, wish I could get some PoT goodies for myself ;p
I've not done much work lately. I should activate myself *quickly*. Actually I think I'll go and work now. *signs off*

listening to ::Keep Your Style:: PoT 2nd ED
Always found it interesting how the PoT 3rd ED song, which was sung by the seiyuus of 4 of the PoT characters had 3 seiyuus chosen in it by popularity voting (Ryoma being Ryoma was automatically included inside - it proves that being the main charcater *does* have its advantages *grins*). I'm surprised Oishi made it into the top 3 chosen. Who'd have though he was so popular in Japan? The little "mama" of the Seigaku Team *evil grins*
note to self: have to ask Ce-chan whether she has the rankings of the top popular PoT characters poll in Jump magazine and if so to give me the classifications.
Who sang "Walk on" as a PoT ED song? It only appears at the end of certain episodes (each tournament ending - which is not much) and for some reason, I really like that song.
Dang it, Eve, that is a creepy layout ^^;; Nice eery green though, goes well with the atmosphere and stuff ^.^
[10.02.03] - Nyaaaan! -
listening to ::White Line:: PoT 3rd ED
Isn't Kikumaru so cute? I love his "acrobatic play" and how he jumps in unbelievable positions and returns the ball ^.^. He and Oishi specialize in doubles and are justly named the "Golden Pair" ... those two are so much in sync it's incredible ^^;;
Fuji is also awesome (actually, they all are). He reminds me of Soujirou from RK except that I like him better ^^;; ... never get on the bad side of Fuji or attack his little bro' coz if not, he can become wayyyy scary! ^.^
Why is an anime about Tennis so fascinating? Actually, I don't know since I don't happen to particularly like tennis myself (though I've heard of the "big" names of tennis). I think it's because this anime is like Initial D in the fact that it pulls you completely inside its world - only better. Oh yeah, and the guys inside are definitevely a plus factor *winks*
Only downside of the anime, the old episodes are really really hard to get on mIRC. Sigh.
Incredibly enough, there doesn't seem to be a lot of PoT english sites on the Net. Maybe I'll do one myself and add inside the recipe of Inui's Penal Tea *evil grin* because it's really a shame not to have more sites dedicated to this anime! ^.^

Yesterday
and before yesterday were freakingly bad days for me. Now, I think that I
have in general a high level of tolerance (ask the people who know me) but
yesterday ... I really *really* though I was going to snap a string. If
there is one thing I don't like it's the discriminatory attitude some people
have based on your race and your appearance. Why can't people treat other
people the same way *despite* their race. Damn it, can't they realise we are
all *humans* despite our *colour* [fumes in silence]
I've
decided to keep the Eiji layout for another week since I'm still very much
into PoT ^^;;
Did
anyone realise it was Valentine's day today? No? I realised it after the
reading the newspapers this morning ^^;; (... can't blame me, I never held
any importance to this festival ^^;;), so err, to all you Valentine's day
goers out there, here's me wishin' you all a good Valentine's day ^.^ 
Really
really love this song. SCC really has a way of writing and putting into song
inspirational lyrics. Gotta love the guy! ^.^
Hmm
... I think I'm becoming addicted to this song. It has such a happy upbeat
tune to it! ^.^ *hums tune to herself*
Poor
Kawamura! Sacrificing your hand like that for the team's sake. Sigh. He
might not be the mot handsome or attractive of the bunch by far but in his
own way, well, Kawamura grows on you ^.^

... I just fell head over heels over Prince of Tennis, so here it is, a
