It's Raining Men was easily the most successful track off Scream. It originally appeared on the Bridget Jone's Diary Soundtrack and was accompianied by a video that has Geri doing takes on Flashdance and Fame. The song however was totally overshadowed by Geri's new "sugar free" body. |

Released only a year after Geri left the Spice Girls, Schizophonic was released with much hype around the world. "Is there life after Spice?" is what everyone was asking. Lyrically it is clearly evident that Geri had the most influence in the Spice Girls. The snappy, funny, pure POP style missing in the other Spices solo work is full throttle here. The video for the first single "Look at Me" had Geri up to her usual PR tricks with a scene where she buried "Ginger". The opening line to You're in a Bubble however says it best: "Ha ha ha...We must all learn to laugh at ourselves". My fave track? Mi Chico Latino. |
Not as successful as Schizo, Scream did contain the international hit "It's Raining Men". However "Raining" already appeared on Bridget Jone's Diary. So if anybody wanted the song, they would've already have had it! Great album cover though and an awesome title! Say what you want about Ms Halliwell, she is a genious as PR and marketing! |
Geri's performance for Bag it Up for the 1999 Brit Awards was really cool. She appears on stage from in between two giant women's |
legs and goes on to parody the Spice Girls, dance with boy-dancers in bunny out fits (see single pic above) and concluded the peformance with a giant explosion. Really good. Lypsinched though. |
