7/25/01 - Another problem arose one Friday night while checking the car out before I took it out.  I noticed that I could turn the alternator fan pulley a small amount as it turned everything including the balancer.  As it turned out after I had everything off, the balancer was just loose and a little loose against the key way.  I had it off and there is no cracks but I think I am going to replace it with a Pioneer SFI rated balancer thats degreed.  Its supposed to be a good stock replacement type.

7/10/01 - Here I am again, not much news to report.  I am contemplating ordering a new set of wheels and tires and upping the size to 15" rims as the 14" are inhibiting tire sizes.  I cannot put large tires on the front as the rear lip of the wheel well will hit when the tire is turned.  The largest tire that will fit is a P225/70 on a 15x8 rim, that im told.  The rear seems pretty much open for tire size.  I would probably go for a P275/60 on a 15x10 (would be nice).  All this thinking is going to cost some dough that I don't really want to spend and I don't even know what rims I would choose.  So many choices....ANY IDEAS OUT THERE?

6/19/01 - Well the rain stopped and I ordered new chrome door handles, ignition, door and trunk locks through Ames Performance Engineering.    The door handles look great and quality is high.  I haven't done the ignition yet but waiting for a rainy day to pull the steering wheel off.  Your thinking I should have done this during the rainy season we had.....me too!  I also ordered new seat bottoms (the plastic surrounds with the chrome trim).  The quality is fair as the plastic is much thinner and cheaper but looks good once on.

6/5/01 -  I'm updating here but have to admit.  I really haven't driven the car in almost a month.  It has rained almost continuously since then.  Probably all my fault anyway.  I washed, clayed and waxed my truck.  The rain started a day after that and kept on coming.  I think it was gloomy or rained at least once every day since.
NOTE ON CLAY:  If anyone has never tried clay try it.  There are a few companies that make it (Meguires comes to mind).  It takes off over spray, chemical fallout and just general crap in the paint.  Then the wax goes on so smooth afterwards and feels like a fresh paint job.  Try It!!!

5/6/01 - Well got the new news page up.  Hopefully I can keep the news updated every so often.  I have been enjoying the car for a few weeks now.  There haven't been many other cars out though and the "hangout" spots have been busted up by the police all last year.  This year I don't even see anyone hanging out at all.  It was usually a few bad apples that would ruin it, mostly some of the ricers and 'wannabes' would show up and make a big scene to get the cops to show up.  Don't know whats up for this year...time will tell.

4/29/01 - Well the car is out now for the year.  I got it out of storage last week, I am in the process of rearranging the page now, putting the news on another page.  Hope to have some more pics soon as well as other updates (hopefully some track reports too.

4/01/01 - Well I sold my `95 Grand Pix but it only moved a few inches in bed, my girlfriend bought it.  I bought a `98 GMC Z-71 extended cab 4x4 loaded.  Its really awesome and love it, but I am waiting for parts right now.  I hit a deer with it 16 hours after I picked it up while on my way to go snowmobiling up north.  It took a good shot, killed the deer but only broke the plastic grill and right parking light (this things tough I tell ya).  So parts are actually here and getting painted now and I'm putting them on myself and saving some bread.  Other than that the truck is awesome, needed one years ago.
