TECHNICAL DATA
Engine Block: 1972 Pontiac 455 with 2 bolt mains and ARP studs, HardBlocked to bottom of freeze plugs.
Bore and Stroke: 4.152" x 4.210"; bored +.030"
Heads: Stock 1974 (400) 4X's, decked to cleanup and new Sealed Power Valves (2.11" intake / 1.66" exhaust)
Cam: Comp Cams custom Xtreme Energy grind with 230° intake / 236° exhaust duration @0.050" ; lift of .497" intake/exhaust with 1.52 rockers ; cam ground on a 110° centerline.
Valve Springs: Comp Cams 995-16
Rocker Arms: Comp Cams Roller Tip (1.52:1) with Crane Kool lock nuts
Retainers / Keepers: Comp Cams 10°
Lifters: Crane Variable duration
Crankshaft: Original 455*, turned -.010" mains / -.020" rods fitted with a Warrior crank scrapper
Rods: Original 455, ARP bolts, beams polished and resized*
Pistons: TRW forged L2359 (0.030" oversized)*
(*Note:  All reciprocating parts balanced)
Rings: Sealed Power (moly)
Bearings: Clevite 77 (all bearings)
Oil Pump: Melling M54DS
Timing Chain / Gears: Summit true roller set
Gaskets: Fel-Pro (# KS2616)
Ignition: Jacob's Omni-Pak high output coil through original 1969 points distributor converted to a Mallory Unilite.  Jacobs 8 mm silicone wires.
Intake / Carburetor: Edlebrock Performer with a Holley 750 double pumper
Update:  Speed Demon 750 vacuum secondary (see News below) - Pic
Exhaust: 4 tube Headman headers to 2 1/4" full exhaust with turbo style mufflers.
Update:  Torque Tech 3" full exhaust system with two 40 series Flowmaster Delta Flow two chamber mufflers. 
Transmission: Turbo Hydromatic 400, modified for firm fast shifts, TCI (#240920) tight lockup converter with 2500 stall.
Rear End: 12-Bolt posi with 3.42 gears
Tires / Wheels / Suspension: P245/60R14 (P235/60R14 fronts) BF Goodrich Radial TA with American Racing Type 23 rims.
Update:  Polygraphite bushings at all 4 corners, boxed control arms and 1 5/16" Hellwig front Swaybar.
Body Mods: GTO hood and `69 Judge Wing with `98 GMC Blazer LED third brake light mounted under wing, wired through wing & post.
Vehicle Weight: 3880 lbs. with me
Performance: Best 1/4 of 13.36 and a 103.82 mph  (1999)
2.016 shorts coming out slow with the street rubber
Through the 1/8 in 8.601 @ 82.54 mph.
