Peters Snowmobiling Pics Here is a few of us leaving from Bobs camp. Here is a picture showing the snow in the woods in early February.  The beginning of the season really. This is me standing on Powely Rd. next to my Polaris XLT sled.  This is a seasonal highway that is closed for winter and used for sleds. Another picture of Powely Rd. with Bob next to his SX-700.  This road can get pretty nasty with moguls.  I believe this road was a contributing factor in the suspension failure I had this year.  Here it's smooth but not up the road. Here is a picture of the Salisbury groomer in front of there clubhouse.  Some of the trails where beautiful down here. A couple of us on the trail waiting for the others. Here is a pic of a few of us at a trail intersection. Here is a pic of my busted suspension.  I believe some hard pounding on rough trails that day (and other days) must have finally done it in. Washing the sled after a long ride.  This was thought to be the last ride before going one more time.  This is after I flipped the sled end over end 4 times and did some flipping myself.  I sprained an ankle, jammed a finger and broke a rib.  The sled cracked the hood all over, broke the windshield and bent the handle bars.  I still rode for a few more hours before turning back at lunch time though. This is my new (to me) sled and girlfriend Becky. The sleds a 2002 XC700SP Polaris I bought with 610 miles on it.  My old XLT is in the background as I sold it to a good friend.  The XC rides great and has awesome power while returning not to shabby fuel mileage for a big twin.   Here is a picture of my truck with the sled in the back of it.
