The next day the PCs tested some things in their room. Tai put on the amulet that they received from the wizard, and immediately sensed the coin even when it was in the lead lined box. With this new information, Rykasha, Tai and Jolan proceeded to the Mercenary guild to find out if the Noble had contacted them.
There was a note from the noble, so they went to talk to him and hopefully find out some information about the crossed arrows. The noble was not very helpful, but instead told them that he understood about the troubles they were having and told them a story about the cursed dragon statue. The noble was not part of the crossed arrows, but he did know of it. He told them no information other than showing them what the statue’s power was.
They left the nobles house and split up to do some simple checking around.
Meanwhile, Killian and Alton were waiting at the Inn guarding the coin from any possible attacks. A gentlemanly fellow came up to their table and joined in their game of cards. During the game he lost them some money and asked when the delivery was going to be made. When he got blank looks, the informant asked the two to deliver a message saying that they were growing impatient, and if the delivery didn’t happen soon, they would take care of it themselves.
The party then met together at the Inn and discussed what each had found out and decided to split up again to do some more info gathering…
Alton, Tai and Jolan went to the temple of Pelor and spoke to the head magistrate there. He said that his associate Cobb was a crossed arrows, and that he didn’t know what they were up to, but it was something big, and happening soon.
Rykasha and Killian went to talk to the bard that they went on tour with and gained some information. It turns out that the crossed arrows motif is actually a signet ring from a minor noble in the kingdom of Sales. Rykasha also found out the story of Iuz the old and that he is currently imprisoned underneath the Castle Greyhawk. He also told them that he knew where the “titan’s pass” was located and gave them general directions.
