Recap of Game:
Session 1
The PCs awoke to the sounds of the door being crashed open and men filing into their rooms.  As they looked to see what was going on, a bright flash of light blinded all but Killian who quickly averted his eyes.  Men with clubs entered the dark room bearing clubs and evil sneers.  They ganged up on the party members while moving faster than humanly possible.  Shortly after the battle had begun, the men ran out the hall and blocked their escape with a wall of ice.
As soon as all the party members were conscious, they proceeded down the hall into the main chambers to sleep somewhere safer.  They were talking about how the barkeep was an inept dolt when they came across his cold body lying face down in a pool of blood.  In the blood was a message incriminating Jolan.  At that moment a handful of guards entered the room and seized the PCs and stripped them of their weapons.  The dwarf guard who was in charge of the men allowed Alton to keep his holy symbol as long as he swore he would not use it against the crown.
The guards then took the PCs down to the dungeon in the castle.  During the night, members of the crossed arrows attempted to poison and torture the captives, but the dwarf guard would not allow it.  Feeling that they might have an ally, the PCs eventually told the dwarf all that they could to try to explain what was going on here.  The dwarf brought back the seneschal of the elfin king: Sheehan.  Sheehan talked at length with the party and brought back the proof that they said they had in their rooms.  Upon wearing the amulet of the crossed arrows, Tai discovered a horrible shock that someone had stolen the magic coin and replaced it with a simple gold coin.
Fearing that the castle could be triggered any moment, the PCs pleaded to Sheehan who in turn spoke to the king on their behalf.  Shortly thereafter, the king arrived and talked with the party.  The king then took the party to the banquet hall and was shown one of the devices that the crossed arrows had put throughout the castle.  Understanding the true nature of what was to happen, the king made each PC give their word that they would fix this as best as possible and then left to deal with the crowd that was growing angrier by the minute.
The PCs then ran throughout the castle searching every room and finally obtaining upwards of six devices.  As they had reached the end of their sweep, the devices began to hiss and grow very hot to the touch.  Realizing that someone had hit the trigger, they charged towards the courtyard for the griffon statue.
When they arrived, they found Hemisal and his sharpshooters standing in front of the now activated gargoyle statue.  Jolan reminded the rest of the party of how deadly these bowmen were by relating a story of how they had shot him through the palm of his hand at over a hundred yards just to humiliate him.  Weary of the warning issued, the other party members stayed back while Hemisal taunted Jolan into fighting him.
Hemisal had slashed Jolan across the mid section a couple of times before the archers decided that they wanted a piece of the action as well and engaged the other party members.  The courtyard erupted into melee action while Rykasha helped even out the odds between Jolan and Hemisal by removing the long sword that Hemisal was wielding.  Now without a weapon, Hemisal used a form of sorcery on Jolan to incapacitate him with a freezing attack.  Recognizing that Hemisal was a magic user, something that Hemisal had accused and belittled Jolan for being, Jolan pulled all of his force of will into one final attack and launched a volley of missiles at his enemy, which knocked him into near unconsciousness.  Jolan then took his sword and finished the job.
While this was going on, Killian and Tai were busy trying to keep these archers from breathing again, and after a very brutal fight, the two were able to overcome these deadly adversaries.
Days later, they met in private to talk over events with the king of the elves.  The king told him that they were in the process of weeding out all the crossed arrows and being as quiet about it as possible.  He mentioned to them that there were only a couple of hurt feelings throughout the whole ordeal.  Pleased with the outcome, the king wanted to gift the party, but he wanted to do it publicly.  In order to do that, he was going to have to have them do something that he could bring to the publics attention.  Something small but worthy.  As he was listing through a couple possibilities, his daughter spoke up and chastised her father for being a fool and not asking the adventurers to help find her brother.  The king then described the situation of finding his missing son and pleaded with the party to find and return his son to him.  The party agreed, and the king gave each of the party members a small gift that he said was on “loan” until he was able to grant them properly.
