Simply sandi's spotted pup.............. Open a new image 350 x 350, add a layer. There won't be many instructions, I have put the selections in order, so just add a layer for each one and flood with your color of choice. There is no need to bevel or shade if you like the look of the dog above. Here are settings for making a more 3 d version if you like it better. After you load each section on a new layer and flood with color, go to selections, float, selections, invert, effects, drop shadow...... to make it easy, just use 2 for V & H, opacity 100, blur 25, the do drop shadow again changing both V ^ H to -2. For smaller pieces use blur of 15. For the eyes and nose use round inner bevel. There are lots of possiblilites, such as using eyecandy of each selection, using a fur or hair to flood with, just plain shading, whatever you want to do.
I used the retouch tool on the sample below, using smudge to feather the colors together, use rgb lighten and darken to shadow and make a layer stand out from another. I also use the bezier line on a separate layer and blur it for some of the shadowing |
