Dalenna Blackvein

Race: Human

Class: Mage

Age: 23

Appearance: Dalenna is a lovely woman with dazzling green eyes that seem to search for the soul. She is quiet, but not shy, and listens keenly to everything which goes on around her. When there are a number of strangers to Solace, she can be usually seen wearing a earthen-red hooded cloak. Hiding both her beautiful tresses and the brand burned into her arm.

Background: Dalenna was born in Tarsis. Her mother and father, along with most of her siblings, are Clerics of Misal-Lasim (Sargonnas) and all possessed beautiful black hair. Dalenna, however, was born with stunning blond hair, which was considered an ill omen. Sargonnas proclaimed that she must be sacrificed to him, and thus she was branded with a red condor, the mark of the evil god.  Her oldest sister, Lissette, was against her baby sister being 'fed to the god' and snuck her out of the temple along with a trunk containing equipment, clothes and a few novice spellbooks. Lissette come upon an old merchant woodcutter who agreed to take the child with him until he could find her a home.(Upon returning to the temple, Lissette was brutality sacrificed for her betrayal.)

After years of studying her books in the back of the wagon, the merchant and Dalenna pulled into Solace. Enchanted by the trees and old enough to take care of a household, Dalenna decided to make Solace her home. She fears, however, after looking through the contents of the trunk, that she is doomed to be sacrificed to Sargonnas so she strives to learn magic for protection.

Talents: Dalenna has studied magic seriously for much of her youth, and though she hasn't been properly taught, has the knowledge of herb lore and spell component requirements.

Adriel Dayne

Race: Elf

Class: Ranger (Dragonslayer)

Age: appears to be 20

Appearance: Adriel had piercingly blue eyes and longsilver hair which reaches to the middle of his back. His features are clearly elven, though there is a strangeness about him that cannot be placed.  He often has a very lost, unsure look, as if there is something missing that one cannot quite put their finger on.

Background: Adriel has no sense of self, nor any memory of who he was, or who he is now supposed to be. He has an overwhelming hatred of Evil Dragons that he cannot quite place, however, and would attack one on sight were there any to be found. Adriel is generally very quiet and withdrawn. He is kind hearted, and will always help those he sees in need.

Adriel is unaware of any history. His first clear memories begin 6 months ago, when he awoke within the forest alone. He has much general, non specific knowledge of the world, though he is unaware of the manner in which he obtained it. Adriel has spent the last 6 months lost in one of the many large, thick forests of Krynn, trying to remember who he is, or indeed, anything about himself. All he can remember is his name, though much knowledge not pertaining specifically to self seems to be intact. As he makes his way, finally, after so long, to a road, he follows it to wherever it will bring him. This is how he finds himself in Solace.

Sasha Giovanni

Race: Human (Solamnic)

Class: Knight of Solamnia, Order of the Sword

Age: 21

Appearance: Sasha is a tall young woman, whose stern features and demeanor hides her inherent beauty. She rarely wears any make up, and prefers to dress most plainly. Her clothing is always clean and of fine quality, but rarely ever accents her figure. Her only affections are two small earrings and three rings.

History: From  a respected Solamnic family, Sasha had dreamed since she was a little girl of becoming a Solamnic Knight.  As the only daughter of six children, she would have been expected to marry off for political reasons, but managed to prove herself capable of the trials of knighthood. Her father and brothers also serve in the order, though her twin brother chose the White Robed magi instead, much to the dismay of his entire family.  He was cast out of home, though Sasha attempted to keep in contact with him.  Unfortunately, he failed in his Wizard's test, and his tragic death still haunts her, and leads to her extreme distrust of wizards.

Being one of the few female knights, Sasha has had to fight for respect in the Knighthood, often overlooked for the tough assignments.  She began her training at the age of sixteen, and immediately proved herself as the most capable tacticians in her class, making up for physical strength with cunning and intuition.  Regardless, she was never allowed a combat assignment upon passing her training and tests.  Instead, she was sent to the outpost garrison at Solace, to serve alongside Sir Kelek Uth Wistan.   The only benefit of this assignment was serving alongside such a noble and less discriminating young warrior.

When her father was killed in the Ergothian War, she was recalled from Solace to his funeral... and at this point she was abducted by the Knights of Takhisis. She has never revealed her tale of this ordeal, but when she escaped she was offerred distinctions by the Order, and assigned command of the garrison at Solace... Here she once again must prove herself, this time as a leader.

Ryna Maezino

Race: Human

Class: Cleric of Paladine

Age: 20

Appearance: Ryna is an extremely frail looking young woman.  A small, thin framed woman, she has pale, almost pure white skin and long tresses of golden hair, matched by a pair of all too observant eyes of the deepest blue, all of which creates a slightly angelic aura about her.  Some might consider her beautiful, others might consider her eerie.

Background: Ryna is the adopted daughter of a lower Knight of Solamnia, Keiran Maezino.   He found her abandoned in a village after a battle, all family or relatives fled or killed.  At that time, it seemed as if the sickly baby would not live another day, yet Sir Keiran took her immediately to his battallion's priest, with whom he prayed for the child's life.  When she survived, Keiran took her home to his wife, and their small house in the Solamnic countryside.  Unable to bare children, Keiran and his wife had brought in another orphan, David, who was two years old when Ryna came to live with them.  Raising such a sickly girl was not without its problems, however, and at first it was stated that Ryna would probably live no longer than two years.  Her father would not accept this, praying nightly to Paladine, and when the girl lived to be three, and then five he took it as a blessing, and considered the child good luck.

From the time she had been found, Ryna had been mute.  She communicated little with her family, but was most reactive to her father.  She learned to observe everything, teaching herself to read and write.  At age five, she suddenly developed proper speech, which her father took as another miracle.  Unquestioning in his faith, Sir Keiran raised his family well.  Yet ten years later, he was captured and held for ransom by opposing forces.  As his family had little wealth, they could not meet the ransom, and the Solamnic Knighthood refused to pay tribute to its enemies.  On her brother David's birthday, a package arrived at their home containing Sir Keiran's severed head.  Never as strong as his father or sister, David committed suicide by hanging from a tree.  Ryna's mother fell ill several months later and passed away, most likely of grief.  Ryna was faced with few options for herself.  Most girl's of her age were already arranged with marraiges, but her father had never forced her down that path, and no one would arrange marraige with a girl incapable of childbirth.   With no family, she was sent to live as a ward in a nearby convent.  Her days and nights were filled with inner conflict, of coming to terms with the god in whom her father so strongly believed and had failed him.  Ultimately, her state of awareness led to self loathing... a questioning of why she had to live when her life would be short and without meaning.  Finally, she realized that she would never find those answers if she was only concerned about herself, and accepted her role in the Priesthood as a means to aide humanity.  While her faith in the gods is little, her faith in man, as exemplified in her father, is great.

Ryna came to Solace to establish a camp for the injured soldiers of the Ergothian war.   Instead, she has found herself caring for thousands of refugees fleeing from war torn lands.  Despite her weak body, her mind and heart give her the strength to carry on, for the time being.

Janixa Rivers

Race: Human

Class: Bard (True)

Age: 16 (Appears 20)

Appearance: Janixa is sensous and alluring.  Even though she is young no one realizes her true age, due to magical effects she looks around 20.  Her straight, honey blond hair is always loose, accentuating her delicate face. She loves to wear styles that enhance her small frame and long legs.

Janixa away from danger. The captain took her away from Clave, disguised her as a boy (even at 14 she called attention), and took her to Palanthas.  Her only clue to what was happening was a letter from Clave to find Triven Pyrrus, a friend of his and wait for him.   To make a very long story short there she met Triven and the other integrants of the group she became a part of.  After many twists of fate she married Triven, but he died in a very decisive battle.  She became so desolate that she decided to leave the group and start again somewhere else.  One day she wandered into Solace...

Alexis Takeda

Race: Human

Class: Physician (Alchemist)

Age: 21

Appearance: Naturally gorgeous, Lexi takes great pride in her beautiful appearance.   She has a tall, sensuos figure, which she knows how to use to her benefit, while her captivating, dark violet eyes enable mirror the intensity of her inner conflict.   Being the type of woman who is an expert at manipulating others, she can act confident and vain or shy and demure, depending on her situation.  Her back is lined with the scars of a whip lashing.

Background: Born the second daughter of a wealthy Ergothian aristocrat, Alexis group up in splendour and luxury.  Her father owned a great hillside tea estate, while her mother was a unexciting uppercrust lady whose only role was to entertain guests and spoil her children.  Neither parent spent much time raising the children, which included an elder son, an elder daughter, and a younger sister.  From the get-go, Alexis showed herself to be one rather adept at getting what she wanted out of her parents, siblings, and the various servants at the estate.  She was very much a spoilt brat, and had few redeeming qualities, save that she was very protective of her siblings, especially her younger sister.

As she was not the eldest daughter, her importance to be married off was less than important.  By the time she reached her teens, she had also developed a considerable scholarly streak, with a vested interest in medical science.  Though she was beautiful, and would do quite well as a debutante, at age 16 she was instead sent off for a college education.  As her father knew the headmaster of the institute quite well, Alexis could have done very little work to achieve her doctorate.  However, being a determined person, she did her very best, while also developing a more worldly interest in the male students.

Around this time, the civil war on Ergoth broke out, with the dwarven, elven, and minotaur nations against the human king and his vassals.  This bloody conflict spread across the island, and many of Lexi's friends and family were sent to do their duty for their nation.  Her elder brother died in battle early in the war, but it was the death of her other family members that enraged her the most.  Upon returning home after school, she found that the estate had been raided and decimated.  The servants seemed to have escaped or been driven off, but greeting her atop the gate of the burning house was the body of her father.  In the ruins, she found her mother and sisters, whose expressions showed that they had died most painfully.  Other clues at the attack revealed that it had been the work of elves which had killed her family.

Truly alone for the first time, Alexis found herself a refugee, heading for a port city with what little money she managed to recover for passage to Solamnia.   Unfortunately, the crew of the ship she had boarded had intentions of selling their boatfull of people into slavery in Tarsis.  The ship hit a reef on the way there, and many of them were rescued by a passing vessal.  The merchant family aboard the ship promised each of the refugees jobs and protection once they reached port, and most of them were treated as such, brought in to serve in warehouses, while the women were sent to sewing factories.  Alexis, being far too haughty to work as a seamstress, explained to her new employers that she was a trained physician.  Thus, she was taken to their leader, an "entrepreneur" (gangster) named Largo, who made her an assistant to his personal physician.  While the factory workers were well removed from the true work of their employers, Alexis knew from the get go that she was working for unscrupulous persons.  She was given far more comfortable surroundings, but was kept closely underguard.  When the elderly chief doctor was killed for failing to comply to Largo's commands, his duties fell upon Lexi's shoulders, as she had been trained by him in the processing of the opium plant.  When Largo's operations expanded into Solace, with the assistance of Maren Sterling, Lexi was sent there to continue her work.
