The Landspeeder came into use after the K-wing became the primary weapon in attack for the Confederacy.
The Landspeeder was purely developed for defensive purposes on Duodena and it's design shows this clearly.
The Confederacy aquired the squadron of defence speeder craft, to attempt to defeat the massive ATE-WT's in the Establishment Army.
Designed by the top engineers on Duodena, the Landspeeder is made to serve in any climate. Fast and agile they are the central heart of the bases defensive system.
It's weaponary exists around it's heavy-duty quad blaster cannons that pack a punch. The Landspeeder has no defensive shields and rely on agility and speed in battle.
Thomas J. Nightmare a Java Knight flies the Landspeeder in the Battle of Toshi Valley against Emperor Sanitarium's Grand Army. His bravery takes him into a situation where his equipment is wiped in the speeder, but he never gives up. He is blasted from the skies of Duodena and struggles out of his cockpit moments before it is crushed by a ATE-WT.
After the Battle of Toshi Valley the Landspeeders use is reduced, however they are still used on Alcazar as patrol craft.
Finally the speeders are modifiy to fly in the attack on the final Death Cigar.
Now the Landspeeder is a standard issue patrol craft in every army within the middle rim and the makers on Duodena have made millions from it's design. Its primary use of late has been both patrol and escort for the various Senators and high ranking officials
The Landspeeder remains on call in case of any uprising or opposition to the newly formed Republic. |
