Big Brother 2: Las Vegas Episode #6

THE BEGINNING

Jeremy's exit from the house caused quite a stir. Everyone was riled by his parting shots. Veto the puppy missed him terribly though, she sat at the door waiting for her favourite houseguest to come back.
The remaining seven houseguests worked hard to get back some of the harmony in the house. All the players left in the house were active and friendly. It would be difficult for any of the them to choose two others for nomination. They were almost wishing they wouldn't win Head of Household. All except perhaps Grace. She had seen her two friends in the house, Leo and Jeremy, evicted the last two episodes and she was hoping that her association with them wouldn't mean her time was up in the house as well.
There was nothing they could do but sit around and wait for the next set of challenges to determine their fates..

THE CHALLENGES

The guests were playing in the yard when the voice of Big Brother called Ian to the Confessional Room. The things needed for the reward challenge were there in a box. He grabbed the box and called the others to the living room. There was a slight delay while Matt and Tiffany towelled off, they had been swimming in the pool. Once everyone was gathered Ian opened the box. Inside was a bundle with everyone's name on it. Ian handed out everyone's bundle. He took out the instructions out and read them aloud.
"Welcome to the Veto Reward Challenge! In each of your packets you will find six ping pong balls with numbers 1 through 6 on them. In the Confessional Room there will be seven black velvet bags with the names of the seven remaining houseguests. Each of you will go into the Confessional Room with your ping pong balls and rank the players in the order you would like to see win the veto reward. For example, if you want Tiffany to win the award the most you would put the number one in her black bag, and so on down the line until you get to the person you would least like to see with the reward, they would get the six. You do not place a ping pong ball in your own bag. Once everyone is finished ranking we will add up the scores. You will not know who has won the reward until AFTER the nominations are announced. Good Luck and start dropping your balls!"
They took turns going into the room. Everyone was fairly quick deciding their order, so they all went back out into the yard and started a basketball game. Before the game was over they were ordered into the house with the blinds closed. The yard was being set up for the Head Of Household challenge.
Diana and Grace prepared dinner while they all listened to the drilling and hammering outside. The noise continued while they ate but Matt and Joshua didn't have time to finish the dishes because the voice of Big Brother came over the loud speaker announcing the start of the HoH Challenge. The players were told to go out into the yard. The yard where they had been playing basketball just a few hours ago had been turned into the Tribal Council set of the show Survivor. There were six stools set up behind a fire and each stool had a lit torch behind it. Ian would not be competing as he was the current HoH. The players took their places and the TV screen at the side of the set flipped on. Josh appeared on the screen.
"Welcome to BBLV Survivor! The player left standing in our little survivor game will be crowned the Head of Household. First you will be divided into two tribes and you will work for tribal immunity. If your tribe loses the mini-challenge you will be forced to vote out one of your own. When you are down to four players you will merge and playing for individual immunity. Once you are dwindled down to the final two players the others will vote for the winner!" Survivors ready? GO!"
The game went quickly and soon everyone but Tiffany and Elizabeth were on the sidelines with Ian. Everyone had to vote for either Tiffany or Elizabeth to be the ulimate BB Survivor. They voted and Elizabeth was declared the winner! The youngest player had outlasted them all. She now held all the power in the house. Well, not ALL the power... the power of Veto winner had not been announced yet.

NOMINATIONS/EVICTION

Elizabeth enjoyed the big private room. The tradition had been started that the new HoH had a sleepover in the room their first night. Everyone crowded into the room for a night of snacks and stories
Once the fun was over Elizabeth had to get down to the difficult task of nominating two of her fellow houseguests for eviction. She brought the Safe Box and the all the keys into the HoH room and started locking the keys into place. She put the two remaining keys in the black bag and brought everything to the living room. She called everyone around. She looked terribly sad and started the ceremony off with a small speech.

"Why the hell did u let me win hoh! this blows! ok well here goes... First off i would like to say to everyone that being hoh is sooo not kewl. But please understand i had to do this..."
The keys were removed and two of the girls were left without their key. Tiffany and Grace were the nominees Elizabeth had chosen. Elizabeth addressed them both.

"Grace...I nominated you because you lied to me several times. Most importantly was about being in the pact. You said that you no idea about a pact and then you turn around and say oh yea i am in it. How could you tell me to my face that you weren't in the pact when everyone else said that you were. You told me i could trust you and quite honestly i dont think i can. I dont like the whole girl next door thing going on with you either, and sticking you're nose where it didn't belong with me and jeremy fighting really didn't help. You only made things worse. You're a great friend, but in this game i can't trust you anymore. I'm really sorry i dont want you to think i'm targetting you but i need to nominate someone. I'm sorry."

"Tiffany..I seriously have no reason to nominate you. i'm so sorry about this but this i feel is my only option at this point. i love you sweetie and i'm so sorry."

The houseguests were getting ready to leave the living room when the TV popped on. Josh appeared on the screen again.
"Thank you Elizabeth. Now I will reveal who has won the power of Veto! We took all the rankings but not the way you think! The player that had the lowest rankings in the ping pong ball game is the winner. With that said, congratulations Grace! You have won the power of veto. You may use your power to take Tiffany off the nominations, forcing Elizabeth to chose another, or you can decide not to use it and the power would go to the next in line. I'll give you a few minutes to think about it."

Grace took no time at all to make her choice.
"I've reached my decision, and ive decided to save Tiff. Shes always been a sweetie to me, and the least I could do was return the favor."

Tiffany was now safe. Elizabeth had to come up with a replacement nomination immediately. She looked at all the people she had to choose from. There was no easy answer to this. She looked at the TV screen and made her announcement.

"Same reason as Tiffany : ( Im going to have to nominate Ian."

The two nominees were now Grace and Ian. The houseguests would have to decide who would stay in the game and who would have to leave the house.
It came time for the vote. Ian and Grace took their seats at the end of the room. They were given a chance to speak to the people who would be deciding their fate in the game. Ian had nothing to say and turned the floor over to Grace. She spoke to everyone.

"I never thought that I could get so emotionally attached to an online game! Ive always loved reality shows like Big Brother, survivor, Temptation Island etc...But to play in one is completely different! I entered the house just hoping to meet some nice people and to take everything as it comes. Enjoy playing the challenges and love the company of those I was going to live with. I figured that there would be some people that everyone wanted out right away! But there werent any of those people to me, and it became difficult with each passing vote to evict someone, and to fear being evicted. Although I felt that there was nobody I was out to get, it seems that that is what Ive become to some others. It deep down inside makes me so hurt to feel so talked about negatively and to be so hunted after. After being nominated 3 times it just got to me. I never once planned in any of you guys' demise. I just want you to know that. Jeremy and Leo were the guys I just clicked with and Im sorry that the friends I made happen to be the ones that were against some of you. I myself never took any sides. I know in Big Brother players want to find something negative so theyre able to dwell on that to oust you. That way it makes it easier to vote. But all it was was strategy. In the weakest link they asked me to vote with them and i agreed but it wasnt a crime! And in no way shape or form did that alliance go out of the game. All of you said "i know i know i know". But you dont know. Because since then Leo and Jeremy have been evicted. And tonight im nominated. All of you looked as that as a negative and youve all dwelled on it to get us out and get further. But im not evil, im not a bad person and I really feel that Ive made out to be that way. It hurts a lot, and I really want you all to really get to know ME..because I dont think youve allowed yourselves to do that being that youve all been after me. I just want you to hopefully realize that I am a good person, and that there is more to me than a one night alliance. Please look at the positive, and Im sorry I couldnt make it tonight I rrreally wanted to..but im just asking that look beyond that fact. Because the game doesnt allow you to do it, but I deeply hope that youll be able to. If I go, ill miss the game and Ill miss you all. I had a blast. I just hope it doesnt end! Ill see when i get home! Okay thats all, love yas"

Would Grace's heart-felt speech be enough to keep her in the house? The others took turns going into the Confesional Room to give their votes and the reasons. When the voting was over Josh appeared on the screen with the results
"In a three to one vote, Grace you have been evicted from the Big Brother Las Vegas house. Thanks for playing. Please gather your things and say your good byes" The house was despondant. It was getting more difficult with every vote and it was only going to get worse. How will the reamining houseguests cope with voting out their friends?
