The Ride
She throws her head back
Red hair flying in the wind.
Life for her has its ups and downs,
Like a carousel horse.
But for this moment in time,
She only hears the sweet music,
And she is free.
Reaching out her hand,
On this Merry-Go-Round of her life,
Effortlessly,
She catches the brass ring
Of my friendship.
My Internet Sisters
Who are these ladies
Wonderous shining lights
Spreading warmth and Love
And never asking anything in return?
Painting pictures of compassion
For those who only see bleakness.
Laughing and teasing and crying and praying
Happy and secure in their womanhood.
You are my "Sisters", created not from the rib of Man,
But from the Heart of God.
The Seeds of Friendship
Sometimes in our lives
Special people appear
And they change our lives forever
That someone's you , my dear.
You've given me some great laughs
And made me shed a tear
Accept my thanks, with all my heart
Your heart, I'll hold so near.
You've spead your wings, sweet angel
The stone has now been cast
Look forward to the future
And relish all the past
For now the seeds of friendship
Once planted, we watch grow
A lifetime, my dear sister
To reap what we did sow.
