     Este album consolidó a Thalia como estrella internacional. Emilio Estefan y Kike Santander son los responsables de la fusión de ritmos latinos y música pop que caracteriza a esta producción, desde salsa hasta cumbia pasando por las baladas y el reggae. Sin duda alguna fue uno de los albums mas exitosos de ese año y convirtio a Thalia en la artista mexicana de mayor proyeccion a nivel internacional, "Amor a la mexicana" se bailo en paises como Francia y Filipinas. Brasil tambien se dejó seducir por Thalia, en donde una version de este album incluia tres temas en portugues y fue invitada a participar en el Carnaval de Brasil. Todo este exito le brindó a Thalia la oportunidad de participar en la version en español del clasico animado de 20th Century Fox "Anastasia" para el cual grabó la voz canatada de Anastasia y grabo el tema principal de la pelicula en español, portugues e ingles.

     With this album Thalia confirmed that she was as an international superstar. Emilio Estefan and Kike Santander made a fusion of latin rythms with pop music, this album has salsa, cumbia, pop ballads and even reggae. "Amor a la mexicana" was one of the most successful albums of the year and Thalia became in the most popular mexican artist in the world, in countries like France and the Phillipines "Amor a la mexicana" (song in spanish) was a hit. Brasil also fell in love with Thalia, this album include three songs in portuguese for that country and Thalia danced at the very popular Brasilian Carnival. This success around the world gave her the oportunity to work with 20th Century Fox in the spanish version of the animated movie "Anastasia", Thalia was the spanish singing voice of the main character and also made the spanish, portuguese and english version of the main song of the movie.
