     Este album marcó el regreso de Thalia como cantante tras una ausencia de tres años. En este tiempo Thalia se dedicó a escribir canciones y por esta razón la mayoría de los temas son de su propia autoría. Cuando el album salió al mercado se convirtió en un éxito inmediato de ventas, popularizando nuevamente la palabra arrasando. Los sencillos causaron sensación en todo el mundo y ante la creciente populariadad de la música latina en el mercado anglo, Thalia y Emilio Estefan decíden aventurarse y grabar la versión en ingles de "Arrasando" llamada "Its my party", ambos temas fueron lanzados simultaneamente como tercer sencillo. Con este album Thalia recibe su primera nominación al premio Grammy Latino y su equipo de trabajo se llevó dicho galardón en la categoria de "Mejor ingenieria de grabación".

     After three years away from her music career, Thalia released "Arrasando" in the 2000. When this album came out it became in an instant hit, as Thalia said this album gave to her so much in so little time, and made popular again the word "arrasando", which means something like "success", in the spanish language. The singles did it as good as the album in all over the world, at this time the latin music in the anglo market was very popular so Thalia and Emilio Estefan decided to record an english version of the song "Arrasando" called "Its my party", both songs were released at the same time as the third single. With this album Thalia earned her first Latin Grammy nomination and her work-team won the award as "Best engineered album"

     Mexican superstar Thalia has come a long way since her early '90s days as a thin-voiced Latin pop-tart. Her stellar 1997 album, Amor a la Mexicana, was a full-throttle assertion of her maturing talent, thanks in large part to va-va-voom production work from Emilio Estefan Jr. Things heat up even more on Arrasando, the singer¹s most focused collection to date. Thalia and Estefan blend salsa, rap, reggae, cumbia, and aggressive club beats into one irresistible mix. Just try to keep your feet still during the infectious rhythms of "Regresa a Mi," "Pata Pata," and "Siempre Hay Carino." Thalia proves equally adept at ballads, particularly on the majestic first single, "Entre el Mar y una Estrella."
