Committee Chairpersons:
Lakes was started in 1989 by Cookie
Griffith and Betsy Irwin, in response to the
defeat of the school district's budget. At
that time the sports programs were in
jeopardy of being eliminated. Cookie and
Betsy came forward and raised funds that
were in part donated directly to the school
board to keep the sports program alive, and
alas the start of the Athletic Booster Club
of Medford Lakes.
The general objective of the Club is to
sponser activities and programs which will
provide an additional funding source to
enhance the extra curricular athletics
programs of the Medford Lakes Public
Schools.
