Whoopi Goldberg plays a basketball fanatic that wins a chance to be an honorary coach to her beloved NY Knicks. The fans and owner like her style and it becomes a full-time job. Some language and adult situations, but not bad. Rated PG-13.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. A guy invests in a computer that gets abused by an accident and too much champagne and somehow comes to life. The problem is, they are both in love with the same woman. Very touching and fun; especially in the age of technology. Rated PG.

Based on the novel by Jane Austen. Emma is a well-to-do lady concerned that her simple friend make the best match. In the process, she disregards her friend's happiness and in the end, her own happiness. Only by letting events run their own course and following their hearts can Emma and Harriet find true love. Rated PG.

Second in the Star Wars trilogy, fifth in the eventually complete story, The Empire Strikes Back is the tale of Luke Skywalker and his time with Yoda. Subplots include Hans and Princess Leia, an encounter with Jabba the Hut, and a terrible secret about Luke's past and his relationship to Darth Vader. Rated PG.

Very cute story of a village in Wales and their pride and joy, their mountain. The problem is that cartographers have come to their village to measure the mountain, and it is 16' short of being a mountain. The lengths to which the villagers go to have their landmark restored is charming and hilarious. Rated PG.

Marginal acting, but a very romantic story. One of Tom Hanks less publicized roles as an American who joined the RAF of England just to fight in WWII. He meets a Sephardic Jewish girl and they fall in love; but the match is forbidden by her family. Rated PG-13.
