The political process does matter. Much of what occurs in Washington and Harrisburg has a direct impact on the lives of working men and women.  Whether it's Fast Track legislation before the US Senate, an ergonomics bill under consideration by the House of Representatives, workers' compensation legislation before the Pennsylvania General Assembly, or a labor case coming before an elected Commonwealth Court judge, our action or inaction on election day directly affects the outcome such issues and may ultimately be the difference between keeping and losing our jobs.  That's why it's important for each and every one of us to understand and involve ourselves in the democratic process.
