Chapter 401
Ircanite strode forward, a cape swirled behind him.
"Visinite!" he shouted.
A similarly dressed soldier came forward.
"Yes," Visinite said.
"What forces do we have available?"
"Those that are not on the other mission? Yes I will send for them immediately."
Visinite snapped her fingers together. A group of warriors hurried into the room.
"Ah..here they are," Visinite said.
"Hmm I see." Ircanite said. "Caria is it?"
"Yes Lord," a diminutive female in a cloak replied stroking her purple hair.
"Yes..you have been very useful with your powers."Ircanite said.
"Sailors Saturn and Earth are nothing compared to my powers. They cannot see what I can see and they cannot fight what they cannot see," Caria said.
"Of course beside her is Chigta," Visinite said.
A massive hulk of a man stood next to the cloaked figure.
"A...Chigta," Ircanite said. "The scouts destroyed your brothers didn't they?"
Chigta growled.
"Well..you'll no doubt be able to remedy that," Ircanite said.
"Next is..Viniver," Visinite said.
A darkly dressed figure bowed.
"He's our marksman," Visinite said. "He is said to have better aim then even Guardian Mercury."
"I assure you he will be my first target as well," Viniver said.
"Ah..perhaps..." Ircanite said. "But I may have other uses for you then that. After all we have someone who is quite capable of taking care of Guardian Mercury..and his family."
"Yes sir," Viniver said.
"Next up, Mivxsati," Visinite said.
Mivxsati momentarily disappeared into the darkness.
"Ah...yes..if you were human they would call you a ninja," Ircanite said. "You are just who we need to destroy these scouts."
"Of course..Fulcrua," Visinite said.
A female did a flip.
"Yes...you're skills are well known," Ircanite said.
"I'm so fast Guardian Earth and Guardian Moon couldn't even hit me..." she grinned.
"And of course Xicav," Visinite said.
A half metallic creature approached and stuck a bladed arm into the air.
"I live to serve," Xicav said.
"Fortunate," Ircanite said. "Visinite this is what I want you to do. Caria is it not true that Sailor Venus is emotionally distraught and vulnerable."
"Extremely so sir," Caria said.
"Visinite, take all of them, go to Tokyo and kill Sailor Venus while you can. If you see any other scouts, leave the area. But I intend to take advantage of this opportunity."
"We should move quickly, her friends will undoubtedly try to help her out, but if we strike before then," Caria said.
"Hurry," Ircanite said and raised his hands. "Power of the Negaforce! Grant me this power!"
His strike force disappeared in a flash.
"To Tokyo with you!" he shouted.
The seven villains appeared on the rooftop of what was formerly the Galaxy TV building.
"Find them Caria," Visinite said.
"Patience.." Caria said and closed her eyes. "It is much easier for me to hone in one's person then their location.."
She waited.
"How long is this going to take?" Chigta muttered.
"Silence," Visinite said.
"I must have peace.." Caria said and continued to focus.
Meanwhile at Lita's house.
"We've been at this for hours.." Serena muttered.
"No thanks to you," Raye said. "You got us off the subject.."
"I was hungry," Serena said.
"Look...I'll make up some more snacks, the rest of you try and figure this out," Lita said.
"Oo..goody," Serena said. "This will help me think."
"Who would have thought helping people would be so painful," Hotaru said.
Ayeka grinned.
"You were the one who wanted to come," Ayeka said.
"Indeed, it is providing me with an educational experience...but I daresay it will only encourage me to avoid such things in the future," Hotaru said.
"Let's try and recap here," Mike said. "We know Mina's parents are having a divorce.."
"That we know," Raye said.
"Anything else?" Mike asked.
The group all sighed.
"This isn't working," Amy said.
"But it should," Serena said. "How else are we going to figure it out?"
"There probably is another way," Raye said. "I mean given our ineptitude, there must be something we're not thinking of."
"It's simple, we have to figure out what Mina's feeling and counteract it," Greg said.
"Yeah," The rest said.
"But we don't know how to do that," Mike said.
"Oh..yeah.." the group moaned.
"What...." Ai said aloud. They all turned.
"What is it Ai?" Serena asked.
"Hmm...excuse me a minute," Ai said and headed into the bathroom.
"That's quite a dramatic reaction to the need to go.." Serena said.
Hotaru starred at the departing Ai.
She senses something? Shouldn't I? No of course not..my powers are not as refined.
"Excuse me," She said standing.
"What's this now?" Serena said.
"I have an interesting compulsion to stand in the yard," Hotaru said and walked out a back door.
"That's strange..even for her," Greg said.
"Isn't it though?" Ayeka said her eyes narrowing.
"I have located her," Caria said. A small energy ball formed in her hands.
"Follow it," she said.
"What are you going to be doing?" Visinite said.
"Monitoring for other scout activity," Caria said.
"All right, good idea," Visinite said.
The rest of the group followed the energy ball. They soon disappeared out of sight.
Caria closed her eyes to begin sensing. Her eyes snapped open as a barrage of energy flew at her.
She leapt backwards, and her hands began to glow with energy. Sailor Pluto leapt onto the roof top.
"I see," Caria said.
"I've really had enough of your type," Sailor Pluto said twirling her staff and unleashing an energy attack. Caria blocked it with an energy shield.
"I am quite powerful Sailor Pluto, I will give you one chance to give up and retreat," Caria said.
"No," Sailor Pluto said. "That's quite all right."
The two faced off.
"Okay..okay..here's an idea," Serena said. "We convince Mina that she doesn't need her parents to be in love for her to be happy."
"That seems a bit brutal," Amy said.
"Yeah Serena," Raye snapped. "How about trying again huh?"
"Well..I just meant..that.." Serena said. "Oh I don't know!"
The bathroom door swung open.
"They're here," Ai said emerging.
Hotaru hurried in from the yard.
"Enemies..." she said.
"I just said that," Ai said.
"You did..oh..well..I'm saying it too," Hotaru said.
"You're half the telepath I am," Ai said.
"Yes..well..I never saw you commanding legions of daimons in the pursuit of the holy grail," Hotaru said.
"That's not something to brag about!" Ai said.
"YOU WERE SAYING!" The others shouted.
"Oh..uh.." the two said.
"Enemies..they're after Venus.." Ai said.
"I'll call her," Raye said and opened her communicator. She pressed a button and waited.
"There's no response," Raye said.
"Where is she do you know?" Mike asked.
"She is where she can be alone," Hotaru said.
"That could be a lot of places," Ayeka said.
"Let's just call Patterson, he can find her," Serena said.
"You don't understand, he can only find her if she's in scout form," Amy said.
"Oh...and I suppose she isn't..huh.." Serena said.
"No," Ai said. "Bet you didn't know that Hotaru.."
"Shut up Ai, I am lethal," Hotaru said.
"Girls..please..not now.." Ayeka said.
"We should go," Lita said. "We've gotta find her."
The scouts all nodded.
"Hmm..what a day," Mina muttered. "The sunset isn't even as impressive as it usually it is."
"Sorry to hear it," Artemas said. "Things will be okay."
"Yeah..sure they will," Mina said. "Twenty five years...and poof.."
"You keep saying that."
"Artemas! It's more then me just having my parents split up. Don't you understand? If their love can break apart, doesn't that mean that any love can do it?"
"Not necessarily."
"Not true," Mina said. "Anything can break apart. And if true love, love that could lead to a marriage, love like that..can break apart..then anything can..."
"Mina, you shouldn't blow this out of proportion."
"Yes I should," Mina said. "Nothing is certain anymore."
"Mina..please.."
"No...it's all useless, because what might seem right now, could mean nothing in years to come. That's what could happen!"
"Or it could work out!" Artemas said. "Mina, look at yourself, your friends, you've stayed together, you've survived against all odds, you've met the worst of it and won, that surely has to show you something."
"I don't know," Mina said. "I really don't know."
"We're getting close," Visinite said.
"Excellent, Viniver said. "I'll take her out in one shot."
"Yes..that would be a good days work," Visinite said.
"I want to pound her into the ground," Chigta said.
"Maybe I'll let you do that too," Visinite said. "She's up ahead there, she must be in that park," Visinite said.
"Excellent, the perfect place to strike," Mivxsati said.
The group all dropped to the ground.
"Up ahead there," Visinite said. "Split up, we'll take no chances. Mivxsati use your skill. Viniver get into a tree and aim. Fulcrua, Xicav, come at her from the right. Chigta. You stay here in case she runs.
The enemies headed into the surrounding forest.
Mivxsati leapt onto a tree branch quietly and drew a dark black energy dagger. His target was in sight. Viniver crouched on the other side of the clearing and aimed his energy rifle. Fulcrua, Xicav hid behind trees.
Two energy blasts flew into the bushes. Fulcrua and Xicav dived away in surprise. The others world. An energy attack flew at Mivxsati, he leapt off the branch. Another energy attack flew at Viniver.
"What's happening!" Visinite said whirling.
"URANUS WORLD SHAKING!"
"NEPTUNE DEEP SUBMERGE!"
The two attacks flew at her. She threw up an energy shield.
"MARS STAR LASER!"
"VENUS STAR BURST!"
"JUPITER STAR INFERNO!"
The three attacks flew at Chigta and knocked him to the ground.
Mina let out a screech. Fulcrua and Xicav leapt out of the bushes at her. Guardian Uranus and Guardian Pluto leapt in front of her. Fulcrua and Xicav unleashed an attack. The two were knocked back. Fulcrua charged forward. Guardian Earth met her in mid stream.
"Moon Silver Millennium Revenge!" Guardian Moon shouted and knocked Xicav back.
Guardian Mercury blasted Viniver into a tree and then leapt at a striking Mivxsati. The two met in mid air and tried to cut each other.
"Of all the..." Mina said. "Galactic Venus Power!" she shouted and transformed.
A brawl erupted.
"This is Sailor Moon to all scouts," Sailor Moon said. "Mina's in trouble."
"We're well aware of that," Guardian Uranus replied. "We're at a park by the water."
"I know the place," Guardian Neptune said.
"You all right?" Sailor Moon asked.
"Wonderful.." Guardian Uranus said. "Hurry up will you!"
"I hate to interrupt," Sailor Pluto said. "But I've got an angry telepath here.." she let out a gasp. "A little help maybe."
"I'm on it," Sailor Saturn said.
"Me too," Sailor Earth said.
"Good good..you two don't fight and get over here..to the top of Galaxy TV!" Sailor Pluto said. "Pluto Dead Scream!"
The two scouts hurried off.
"I am not going to be bested by one mere scout, no matter how many dimensions you can voyage too!" Caria shouted unleashing an energy wave.
Sailor Pluto threw her energy into it blocking the attack.
"That's the best you can do?" Caria asked. "It's fine with me..I'm in no hurry."
Sailor Pluto felt a pain in her mind.
"No you don't!" she shouted unleashing another attack.
Caria grinned and shielded it.
"Yes...that's the usual response!" Caria shouted. Sailor Pluto stepped back as more pain shot through her.
"Who needs..offense, when I can destroy you from within!" Caria shouted.
"I am much stronger then that!" Sailor Pluto shouted. "You should know better!"
She charged. Caria dived out of the way, but Pluto kept attacking. Caria stepped back quickly and then leapt to another rooftop. Sailor Pluto leapt after her. Caria launched an energy attack. Sailor Pluto was skimmed by it. She kept attacking anyway.
"I take mind attacks quite personally!" Pluto shouted.
"Oh..I see.." Caria said dodging as quickly as she could. "Too bad you got so close."
Pluto let out a scream and stumbled back. Caria grinned and blasted her off the rooftop.
"Psychic powers work best at point blank range, even on you.." she said.
"Then perhaps you are ready to test them out with your own kind," Sailor Earth said dropping to the rooftop.
"Or two of your own kind perhaps," Sailor Saturn said.
Caria grinned.
"Now it gets interesting," she said. The two starred at her.
"Oh yes you can delude yourself into believing your a match for me..let's see!" Caria said.
Saturn and Earth winced but stared back at her. Caria winced slightly.
"All right..fair enough.." Caria said. She starred back at them.
Saturn yelled. Earth continued to grimace.
Caria winced.
"Yes...this will be no trouble!" Caria shouted. Saturn and Earth fell backward. Saturn lost consciousness. Earth stood facing her. She unleashed an attack.
"Shield.." Caria muttered and stared at Earth. Earth winced again.
"Earth...no..I can't.."
"That's right you can't.." Caria said.
"I must..EARTH...."
"Nope.."
Earth charged at her. Caria blasted her backwards.
Earth shrieked in pain as he defenses were lowered.
"Yes, that's better!" she shouted.
"Pluto Dead Scream!"
"What!" Caria shouted and whirled. The attack flew at her. She shielded herself but was still pushed back.
"Fine..fine..I'll deal with you all.." Caria said.
"Why are we running!" Xicav said. "We can beat them!"
The rest of the negaverse army was leaping along rooftops.
"Because Ircanite ordered it, besides, we can't get the target now, and the other scouts are onto us," Visinite said.
"So they are, but.." Xicav said.
"No buts, we can't beat them all on our own," Visinite said.
"Moon Tiara Magic!"
"Saturn Blade of Galaxies!"
"Neptune Tide of Destruction!"
"Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!"
"Jupiter Sparkling Wide Pressure!"
"Mars Fire Soul!"
The army veered out of the way.
"Uranus World Shaking!"
"Neptune Deep Submerge!"
"Uranus Flame of Desire!"
"Pluto Storm Fist Punch!"
The army leapt out of the way again.
The scouts pounced unleashing attacks all over the place. The enemies leapt out of the way.
"This isn't good!" Visinite shouted.
A dark wave of energy flew across the air and hit all of the scouts knocking them to the ground.
Ircanite floated in the air. He hit all of his enemy soldiers with an energy and teleported them away.
The scouts all stood up.
"The war has begun scouts," Ircanite said. "And I'm going to win this one!"
He vanished.
"I hate it when they do that," Sailor Moon said. "Gloat like that, it never gets them anywhere."
"I'm not up to this," Sailor Venus said.
"Mina," Neptune said hurrying to her side.
Venus began to cry and leapt off.
"Mina," Neptune said.
"Don't follow her.." Sailor Uranus said. "She knows what she needs."
"Yeah..I guess.." Guardian Neptune said. "Gmerc..just keep an eye on her..so she's not attacked."
"I'm on it," Gmerc said. "It'll alert me."
"Now what.." Sailor Moon said. "She's probably feeling worse now..and we can't do anything about it.."
The scouts all looked at each other.
"All right..so you all want to fight me," Caria said. "I can take you on."
"Caria return," Ircanite's voice said.
"Oh..yes sir," Caria said and vanished.
"That was annoying," Sailor Saturn said.
"You really aren't very useful are you?" Sailor Earth said.
"Neither will you be without limbs!" Saturn shouted and leapt at her. The two began yet another catfight.
"Girls.." Sailor Pluto said. "Oh my..this isn't good at all is it?"
"That enemy was quite formidable," Taiki said.
"I'm sure we'll handle it somehow," Sai said. "In fact, I'll work on it right now."
He walked off.
"Nice guy," Seiya muttered.
"He is obviously carrying a large burden of some kind," Yaten said.
"Oh obviously," Seiya said.
"Try to let your mind rise above it's primordial state once and awhile," Yaten said.
Seiya scowled at him.
"So Patterson, looks like it's back to work huh?" Rick said.
"Yes, I must analyze this data," Patterson said and headed off.
"Nice guy," Steve muttered.
"Yeah..he hasn't acted like that since..well..when we first met him."
"Wonder what's up."
"Probably nothing. Just a phase."
"Not any phase I've noticed," Ayeka said wandering up though.
"Oh..well..then what it then?" Rick asked.
"Don't know..I'll find out though," Ayeka said with a grin.
"Good luck," the two said.
"Ah come on guys, he loves me, he'll tell me anything."
"Not from what we've heard," The two said.
"All right, he doesn't tell me anything, but he should," Ayeka muttered.
"I don't care, I'm going after Mina," Serena said.
"I don't think you should," Lita said.
"Enough is enough, she's hurt, and I want to help," Serena said.
"Then I'm going too," Mike said.
"Fine by me," Serena said.
"We should go then," Amy said. "After all..if you're going..she should probably get all the support she can."
"Amy's right," Raye said. "Guess the time for caution is over."
Sailor Venus stood starring out over the city wiping back tears.
"I hate this...I hate it all," She said.
"Now..that's no way to feel," Serena said.
Venus whirled.
Her friends stood there.
"We might not be helping any..but we had to come..." Serena said.
"Yeah...we're here for you," Raye said.
The others nodded.
"I should be mad..I should want to be alone..but I.." Venus collapsed into their arms sobbing.
