Chapter 413
"Rain forests..yuck," Sailor Moon muttered.
"Don't worry about it, it's not like anything around here could hurt you," Sailor Mars said.
"It's just creepy," Sailor Moon said.
"It's also quite an educational experience though," Sailor Mercury said.
"Never thought I'd end up here," Guardian Jupiter said.
"Well you can have it," Guardian Pluto said.
"Not a fan are you?" Guardian Jupiter asked.
"You can have the ecology, I prefer the places where the monkeys don't laugh at you," Guardian Pluto said.
"That's just wonderful thank you for that insight," Sailor Mars said.
"Ehh..I didn't have to come on this trip, I just did it to get away from Lita," Guardian Pluto said.
All eyes turned on him.
"And why would that be huh?" Sailor Moon asked.
"Why do you think..because she was going through a life crisis, and I didn't want to be around," Guardian Pluto said.
"Possibly you were afraid you might come on too quickly huh?" Sailor Mars asked.
"We don't have to worry about that now do we?" Guardian Pluto snapped.
"You should be proud of Steve for showing such sensitivity," Guardian Uranus said.
"Honestly though, what makes you think you can go back to her," Guardian Venus said.
"It's not something I would share with the likes of you," Guardian Pluto said.
"Everyone just calm down," Sailor Pluto said. "The last thing we need is for a fight to break out."
"We're getting close," Guardian Earth said holding the crystal forward.
"If it's underwater, I'm going to flip," Sailor Moon said.
"Don't do that, you'll fall out of the boat," Guardian Venus said.
"Cute," Sailor Moon muttered. "I'm supposed to the moon princess, don't you think we could find a better boat then this?"
"They don't exactly build cruise ships for this kind of work," Sailor Mars snapped.
"Oh...Raye you'd criticize me about everything if you could. You just can't come up with sarcastic comebacks to every sentence I say.!" Sailor Moon whined.
"That's right," Mars said. "So what's your point?"
"That's telling her," Uranus said.
"Pathetic," Guardian Moon muttered.
"You don't approve?" Sailor Pluto said.
"We're warriors, this is all superfluous," Guardian Moon said.
"You used to be much cockier.."
"Yes, I did..."
Sailor Pluto said nothing more.
"Up ahead," Guardian Moon said.
"I see it," Sailor Pluto said. "You're lucky Sailor Moon. It's an island."
"Well that's something," Sailor Moon said.
"Crocodile," Guardian Pluto said.
"What about it?" Guardian Uranus said.
"Over there," Guardian Pluto said.
"Oh not a croc!" Sailor Moon shouted shaking.
"Calm down!" Sailor Mars said grabbing a hold of her.
"Don't rock the boat!" Guardian Venus said.
"It'll be fine," Sailor Mars said.
The croc swam towards them.
"I'll take care of it," Guardian Pluto said.
"Pluto, this is no time to be taking pot shots," Guardian Jupiter said.
"Can't I scare it?" Pluto said.
"Fine," Guardian Jupiter said. He opened fire. The blast smashed right into the croc and knocked him back. It swam away quickly.
"PLUTO!" they all shouted.
"My aim stinks...okay?"
The group sighed.
"Let's just get the crystal," Sailor Pluto said.
They pulled the boat up to a small mossy island.
"It's here," Guardian Moon said.
"Well..more digging," Guardian Uranus said.
The Guardian's drew their swords and began to cut it open.
"What an annoying place," Sailor Moon said.
"Oh Serena, enjoy it for it's beauty," Sailor Mars said.
"I'll enjoy other places of their beauty," Sailor Moon said.
"What an interesting group of specimens," Sailor Mercury said.
"There's the door," Sailor Pluto said.
They opened up the door.
"Crystal..time." Guardian Uranus said and pulled the crystal out.
"Yet another for out collection," Guardian Venus said.
"Then let's get out of here," Sailor Moon said.
"Look out.." Guardian Moon said quickly. "Behind us!"
The group all spun.
A laser blast flew and smashed into Guardian Moon knocking him down.
"Let em have it!" Guardian Uranus shouted.
The four Guardians took aim and fired. Another laser blast flew at them hitting Sailor Moon dead on.
"Where the heck is he!" Guardian Uranus shouted.
"We're pinned down here," Sailor Pluto said.
"And they could have mined this area too!" Guardian Jupiter said.
"Everyone into the trees!" Sailor Mercury said.
"The trees?" Sailor Moon muttered slowly standing up.
"WATCH IT!" Guardian Moon shouted. He fired knocking another Viniver attack away.
"Let's go!" Sailor Mercury said.
The scouts leapt into the trees.
The island exploded.
"Jeez...this is getting on my nerves," Sailor Mars said.
"We have to be careful," Sailor Mercury said. "Mars and Uranus, your attacks are too dangerous, you could set the forest on fire!"
"That's just what I needed to hear," Sailor Mars said.
Another bolt shot at them slamming into Guardian Venus.
"Watch it!" Guardian Jupiter said grabbing him.
"Mars, here," Guardian Pluto said tossing her his sword. "It'll do you more good."
"Uh..thanks," Mars said.
"We need a strategy," Guardian Uranus said.
"Here's one..I'll take him down!" Guardian Moon shouted racing forward along the treetops.
"That's either brave or stupid," Guardian Pluto said.
"It's both," Guardian Venus said.
"There explosives guy is probably around here somewhere," Sailor Pluto said.
There was another explosion.
"How about under the tree!" Sailor Moon shouted. The scouts all leapt off the tree as it fell.
"It's Minagrat time!"
"What!" The scouts all shouted. Minagrat landed on a branch and shot an energy blast.
"Ah jeez.." Guardian Uranus said slamming into Guardian Pluto. The two went falling off.
"All right, we'll do it that way!" Sailor Mars said leaping onto the branch. She swung Pluto's sword. Minagrat leap over it bounced off Mars head and leapt at Sailor Moon.
"Well it I'm going down!" Sailor Moon shouted and leapt at him.
"Wha.." Minagrat shouted.
The two collided in mid air and fell downward.
"Moon Tiara Capture!" she shouted and stuck her tiara into the bark. She grabbed it.
"I'll get you next time!" Minagrat shouted falling into the water.
"Hey..it's Minagrat!" Guardian Pluto shouted.
"Pluto Storm Fist..."
"You idiot! You're in water!" Uranus shouted.
"Oops."
Uranus opened fire with his sword. Minagrat avoided it.
"Oh great the Crocodile's back!" Pluto muttered and grabbed another tree branch. He pulled himself up.
"Ehh.." Guardian Uranus said following.
"Here he comes," Pluto said.
"Incoming!" Guardian Uranus said and opened fire. An explosive detonated blasting the two back into the water.
"What a disaster," Sailor Moon muttered.
"Pluto Dead Scream!"
"Too slow!" Sorophyte said floating out of the way and launching a barrage. The scouts all leapt away. The tree was blown apart.
"Mercury Ice Storm Blast!"
"Jupiter Star Inferno!"
"I'm not impressed!" Sorophyte said blasting it away.
"Moon Tiara Magic!"
"Oh..please!" Sorophyte said avoiding it and diving towards Sailor Moon still standing on a lower branch.
"Oh no!" Sailor Pluto said and leapt forward. She hit Sorophyte with her staff knocking him downward. She hit a branch and leapt off of it, landing on another branch and pitching forward before righting herself by grabbing an overhanging limb.
"I'm not done!" Sorophyte shouted.
"Pluto Hurricane Punch!"
"Death from above!" Guardian Uranus said landing on top of the enemy commander and throwing him into the water.
A massive energy attack blasted up the next tree splitting it apart.
"What do you want!" Sorophyte said whirling on the crocodile.
"MERCURY ICE STORM BLAST!"
The water froze.
"Oh..quite clever!" Sorophyte shouted and blasted the ice away.
"Moon Tiara Magic!"
"Not today!" Sorophyte shouted and leapt upward and across another tree.
"Bombs!" Sailor Mars shouted and opened fire knocking away another of Lunfa's bombs.
Another tree exploded.
"Honestly, these jokers are the biggest threat to the environment since smoke was invented!" Sailor Moon shouted.
"Uh..but.." Sailor Mercury began.
"Forget it!" Sailor Mars said leaping forward.
"A pity you chose to fight us today Viniver," Guardian Moon said and flung the sniper from a tree.
"Moon Silver Millennium Retaliation!"
Viniver vaporized.
"Watch yourself!" came a shout. An energy blast smashed into Moon knocking him off the tree. He looked up and saw Sorophyte pass as he did so. He fell backwards and smashed into a tree before bouncing off another and landing on a tree branch.
"Heh...this isn't over," Sorophyte said.
The enemy group hurried off.
"We win again.." Sailor Moon muttered.
"I hate the rainforest," Mars said.
"See..I wasn't wrong was I?" Sailor Moon said.
"Where's Guardian Moon?" Sailor Pluto asked.
Later in a city.
"Your friend is hurt bad..what happened?" A doctor said.
"He hit his head," Serena said.
"Oh..well it seems he really was hit hard...I don't know when he'll recover.." the doctor said.
"I see," Setsuna said. "Well..as long as there's nothing urgent we'll leave him in your care."
"Uh..we'll keep an eye on him" Rick said.
"Yeah always a good idea," Steve said.
"All right," Setsuna said.
"Now what Setsuna? He was our eyes and ears?" Serena asked.
"We've gotten along without such things," Setsuna said. "We have to prepare to move on..as soon as we rest."
"The enemy seems to be ahead of us though," Raye said. "I mean they could have had the crystal, instead they tried to trap us."
"I think they're getting desperate," Amy said.
"Think about it another way," Taiki said. "We have several crystals, crystals they can't get unless the beat us."
"Yeah that's right," Setsuna said.
"So essentially they're going to try and get those back first," Yaten said.
"But now we know what to look for," Amy said. "We know they'll try explosives."
"That's right," Serena said. "We're back on the fast track. Where are we going to go next?"
"Oh..let's see...well there's Africa..or Europe," Setsuna said.
"Europe," The entire group replied.
"Guess it's unanimous," Setsuna said.
"I wouldn't worry about Africa," came a voice.
They all looked.
"Nisiran..nice to see you again," Serena said.
"Malcian and Ziarca are handling Africa now that you've contained the enemy. You just need to hit Europe."
"Where is Jasen by the way?" Setsuna asked.
"He's checking on something else," Nisiran said. "If you want I can accompany you along this trip. I've been keeping an eye on things."
"That would be very nice of you," Serena said.
"We're happy to have you along," Setsuna said.
"Glad to hear it," Nisiran said.
"So...Steve..I'm curious, just what are your intentions towards Lita now?" rick asked.
"I'm going to go after her in a month or so," Steve said.
"Being careful huh?"
"Absolutely, but this is the chance destiny opened up for me."
"It's interesting. How you're insane rants actually turned out to be right," Rick said.
"They were hardly insane rants," Steve said.
"But just how could you see that Seiya didn't love her."
"It just seemed to be the way things were going."
Rick laughed.
"You're insane really."
"In a good way," Steve said.
"Your friend is awake," the doctor said.
"Oh..goody," Steve said.
"Yeah..." Rick said.
"Oh..wonderful..you are the first I get to see," Sai said. "Where is my watch?"
"Right here," Rick said. "We didn't want anyone to get sticky fingers."
"Give it to me."
"Sure."
Sai took a look at it and began a perimeter scan.
"Oh....lord..." Sai said.
"You two! Get the others!" he shouted.
"But.." Rick said.
"He's here!" Sai shouted.
A blast exploded into the building.
"We've got a problem here!" Rick shouted into his communicator.
"Time to finish this round up!" Sorophyte shouted peppering the area with energy. The three and the doctor went down hard.
"Now..let's detonate this place!" Lunfa said unleashing a bomb barrage.
"MARS FIRE SOUL!"
"MERCURY AQUA RHAPSODY!"
"PLUTO DEAD SCREAM!"
The three attacks shot out and blew up the bombs. Visinite whirled and backed up shooting energy downward as he did so.
He then leapt off into the night.
Mars raced down the embankment. Rick slowly rose from the rubble and fell down.
"Rick!" she shouted.
"I'm..not dead..that's important," he said before falling unconscious.
"Sai got nailed.." Steve said and winced.
"Steve you're bleeding," Mercury said.
"We've got to get them to safety," Sailor Pluto said.
"Listen," Nisiran said. "You all get to Europe. I'm going to teleport them back to Tokyo."
"All right.." Sailor Pluto said. "That will drain your energy though."
"For a time, but it's important," Nisiran said. In a flash he and the three boys vanished.
"Guess it's us now," Sailor Moon said.
"We should sailor teleport," Sailor Mercury said. "It will weaken us, but it must take energy for Visinite to travel too. We should have time to recover."
"All right," Sailor Moon said. "Let's move."
The four Sailors and the two remaining Guardians held hands and disappeared out of Brazil, appearing soon afterward in London England.
"Ah...long trip," Sailor Moon said.
"I just want to sleep," Sailor Mars said.
"Now you're in my world hah hah!" Sailor Moon cackled.
"Oh be quiet," Mars said.
"What a day.." Sailor Pluto said.
General Patterson strode in Tokyo General Hospital and headed down a security hallway.
"Well Ayeka how are they doing?" he asked.
"It varies. D.V.'s awake, and as usual thoroughly annoyed. Mike gets checked out later today. Rick and Steve will be up in day or so..Sai is...still quite comatose..he really got whacked."
"Hmm.." Patterson said. "The Guardian Scouts at their finest huh.."
"Oh hello General," Greg said walking up. "I was just about to check on them myself."
"NURSE!" Mike shouted.
"That was fairly predictable," Greg said as the two walked in.
"Hey...visitors," Mike said.
"It's good to see you up,." Greg said.
"I'm tough it takes more then several barrages of high powered energy blasts to get to me," Steve said.
"You can hardly move," Mike said.
"Ehh...but I can still begin to renew my hatred of you!" Steve said.
"Ah..well..put.." Mike said.
"I'm never going back to that country again..it stinks if you ask me," Rick muttered.
"You're just saying that because you got heavily beaten down," Mike said.
"Yes and that's an awfully good reason!" Rick said.
"All of you just shut up," Patterson muttered.
"Ah..so..how are you doing?" General Patterson said.
"I am in pain..what do you expect?" D.V. asked.
"Yeah..better get you some pain killers."
"I'll exact retribution later if you do!"
General Patterson laughed.
"It's good to see you feeling better D.V." Greg said.
"Yes..well..glad someone's enjoying it," D.V. snapped.
At the Cherry Hill temple.
"We have never had so many people here before," Urawa Motoki said. "As far as I know, but I will enjoy the challenge of keeping up with you."
"Oh..he's funny isn't he?" Mina said.
"Raye said you could stay here right?" Chad asked.
"Why wouldn't she?" Lita asked.
"We're here best friends aren't we?" Mina asked.
"Guess you're right," Chad said.
The two girls smiled.
"Hmm..I call Raye's room!" Mina said.
"Oh no you don't!" Lita said. The two hurried off.
"Somehow I doubt there was any such arrangement made, but I'm sure Raye would understand," Motoki said.
"It really does make sense for us to be in the same place, at least for defensive purposes," Hotaru said.
"Otherwise we wouldn't impose," Michiru said.
"Just keep in minds it's not my idea," Haruka said.
"Should we really be allowing this Motoki?" Chad asked.
"Of course, at the very least it will be an interesting experience," Motoki said.
"Yes, but Raye might not like it."
"Then I'll leave."
"Oh..well..but she'll get mad at me then."
"So she will.." Motoki said.
"You've changed..man.."
"I am a warrior."
"I just can't wait to see how this is after a week," Seiya said.
"Raye will hate us for all eternity," Akiro said.
"So Sorophyte you lost Viniver?" Ircanite growled.
"Yes, but I put the scouts behind schedule and Guardian Uranus, Pluto, and Moon are in the hospital. This opens it up for Visinite to strike and pick up some more crystals."
"I see...I guess that does make sense."
"And in the meantime..I'm going to recover and then kill off a few more of these fools."
"I look forward to it," Ircanite said.
"Oh..you just wait..the streets are going to be filled with blood by the time I'm finished."
"Yes..I suspect so."
Sorophyte grinned and walked out. Visinite walked in.
"Ah..Visinite," Ircanite said. "Are you ready?"
"I have recovered enough..what is the mission?"
"You must get these crystals before the scouts do."
"Yes sir.." Visinite said.
"Destroy all resistance."
"I intend too."
"I don't like this," Setsuna said into her communicator. "We're five scouts down right now."
"I think we'll manage," Haruka said. "Aren't the earth warriors pitching in?"
"Yes..but.."
There was an explosion.
"Setsuna, the street just blew apart!" Raye shouted in the background.
"I have to go," Setsuna said.
"Be careful..good luck."
"To you too," Setsuna said.
A blast exploded against a wall.
"Those jokers just don't give up," Guardian Venus said.
"I've noticed!" Sailor Mars said. "Let's go get them.
Sailor Moon yawned.
"Yeah..have at em.." she said. The scouts leapt out into the street.
