Battles
Battles are full-scale.  They include anyone and everyone who shows up for them.  But what are battles, and how are they done? A Battle is a fight between more than two people, where a normal duel wouldn't work.  They would most often be started if several characters of opposite groups were to meet during roleplay, or if a dueler decides to call for help. A battle is run like a live-action duel.  The Director will guide you, but you will decide what actions your character should take.  Here is an example of a simplified small battle between four people:  Reza and Rianna; Dagan and Damien (From the Fake Quidditch teams, the "R" team and the "D" team based on the first letters of their names) Remember that each character controls their own movements, and the director decides the outcome.  This will take place on the Roleplaying forum. ~--------------------------------------------------------~ Intro:  Reza and Damien have been dueling, but Reza called Rianna for help.  In return, Damien called for Dagan. Rianna's HP:  15 Reza's HP:  14 Damien's HP:  14 Dagan's HP:  15 Damien casts "Expelliarmus" at Rianna. Rianna attempts to dodge. (Once the two of them have posted, the Director will decide the outcome.) Director:  Damien hits Rianna.  Rianna's wand flies through the air. (Rianna's HP:  14) (Rianna's Hit Points have been reduced by 1 because she was hit.  As her hit points go down, she isn't likely to be as effective.) Reza attempts to catch Rianna's wand. Dagan attempts to catch Rianna's wand. Damien attempts to catch Rianna's wand. (The Director must then decide who actually does catch Rianna's wand.) Director: Both Reza and Damien reach the wand at the same time.  They collide, and the wand falls to the ground. Reza casts "Incendio" at Damien. Damien casts "Protego" to protect himself against Reza's spell. (Protego adds to Damien's shield, making the spell more likely to miss, and it can also reflect back on Reza.  The Director will determine both.) Director: Reza's spell misses Damien.  It is reflected back at Reza. (Reza's HP:  12) Damien attempts to get Rianna's wand. Rianna attempts to get her wand. Director: Rianna gets her own wand back. Damien casts "Incendio" on Rianna. (And so on.  This is just one, overly-simplified event of a player being disarmed, and where her wand ends up.) ~---------------------------------------------~ A battle will happen at a certain location as well.  Props from the location may be described by the Director, and they can be used during battle.  The above example contains no props, no atmosphere, no relationships between the characters, no personality.  All of this is added in by you and the other Battlers.
